Main duties of the job
This role is within a 41 bedded Residential, Nursing & Dementia care Home located at L'Hermitage, La Route de Beaumont, St Peter, Jersey. The care home is rated 9.4 on Carehome.co.uk. As a Registered Nurse, you'll join a team that promotes independence and dignity among individuals in your care. The position requires an NMC Pin and offers a full-time schedule with options for either 48-hour contracts involving four 12-hour shifts on alternate weekends or 42-hour contracts with a 3x12-hour shift one week then switching to 4x12-hour shifts on alternate weekends. Job summary
Working as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker in a ward / department within the hospital setting.
Carry out assigned tasks involved with direct patient care whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients. This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication, and in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse/Midwife or Nursing Associate, incorporating:
o Continence Management
o Nutrition & Hydration
o Undertaking and recording of Vital Signs
o Moving & Handling of patients to support independence
o Infection Prevention and Control
o Safeguarding of adults and children.

Main duties of the job
- Assist patients with personal care and hygiene needs.
- Promote patients' privacy and dignity.
- Assist in the meeting of patients' nutritional needs.
- Where identified in the plan of care, ensure food and fluid intake and output are accurately documented on appropriate charts.
- Assist in skin and pressure area care.
- Assist patients with safe mobilisation.
- Utilise appropriate moving and handling aids to reduce the risk of injury to the patients, others and themselves.
- Assist registered staff in the taking and recording of vital signs as per the patients' plan of care, including urinalysis and blood glucose testing.
- Communicate to the nurse/midwife in charge changes observed in a patient's condition, whether physical or overall health and well-being.
- Escort patients from the ward/department to other areas within the hospital, as required.
- Be aware of and contribute to the protection of individuals from abuse and report any suspicions of abuse to nurse/midwife in charge.
- Assist a Registered Nurse/Midwife/Nursing Associate with patients' End of Life care as required.
- Attend annual updates on basic life support procedures and take appropriate action in the event of a deteriorating patient or cardiac arrest.
- Where required, undertake the additional skills of venepuncture and cannulation duties under senior supervision following completion of training and evidence of competency
- As required, accurately record ECG's on completion of training.

Swift ward is a 26 bedded ward caring for older age adults. The ward has a strong MDT and Allied Health Professional team to support with care of our patients, and has close links with the Dementia team.

Job summary
THIS IS A BANK POST, INITIALLY FOR 6 MONTHS: We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who has some general laboratory skills for the accurate and safe use of laboratory equipment but Immunology experience is not necessary. To be successful, the candidate will need a flexible attitude towards work with good organisational skills, attention to detail and communication. They must have the ability to work under pressure and work well within a team as well as being friendly and reliable,
Main duties of the job
Once trained, the successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their working time in Immunology specimen reception and sample referral and 50% supporting the Biomedical Scientists running the analysers. Specimen reception duties include answering the telephone, responding to emails, tracking blood and urine samples into the racks, sample disposal and general housekeeping duties such as water bath maintenance. Sample referral duties include packaging samples ready for posting and entering results onto the LIMS.
Supporting the Biomedical Scientists running the analysers will include retrieving samples, loading samples and reagents, maintenance of the analysers and returning samples to the racks.
Team work is key in all areas of the laboratory and you must be flexible as the rota may be changed at short notice depending on staff sickness / workload. You must be able to work quickly and efficiently and with excellent attention to detail. Good communication with your colleagues as well as good time management is essential in this busy laboratory as we all work together to produce high quality results for the patients.

Reporting directly to the Trust's Enhanced Care Lead we are seeking people that are able to work a varied shift pattern including long days, nights and weekends , in a variety of settings including Urgent and Emergency Care, Older People Services, and Paediatrics
- Candidates applying for this post must be able to demonstrate within the application form the following essential criteria:
- Recent and significant UK experience as a health/enhanced care support worker
- Successfully achieved the Care Certificate
- Level 3 qualification preferably in a health and social care related subject.

Main duties of the job
Our Enhanced Care Support Workers are at the heart of providing direct patient centred care, supporting the Nursing Teams as well as the mental health services and wider Multi-Disciplinary Teams.

- Providing direct patient care including meeting hygiene, continence, nutrition, pressure area care and mobility needs
- Taking and recording patients' vital signs, identifying and escalating changes to a patient's condition
- Providing one to one observation/cohort care for vulnerable patients who present a high risk of harm
- Providing care and compassion, whilst demonstrating professional behaviour and utilising a range of appropriate communication skills
- recognise and respond appropriately to the emotional needs of vulnerable patients
- Support the risk management of vulnerable patients by identifying, reporting and escalating issues of concern.
- Support the management of challenging or disturbed behaviour in accordance with Trust policies and procedures

Job summary

Main duties of the job
- To conduct daily ward rounds with the medical team, review patients and formulate appropriate clinical plans.

- Ordering of diagnostic tests.
- Making and receiving referrals.

- To accept responsibility for own caseload, ensuring all patients have an accurate plan of care recorded, which reflects the assessments undertaken and incorporates the issues and recommendations made, ensuring clear documentation in the patient's records.
- To be actively involved in in-patient care, liaising with ward staff and other members of the clinical team as appropriate.
- To assess patients in the surgical pre-assessment clinic and arrange appropriate investigations including radiological imaging.
- To review patients for discharge and prepare appropriate documentation of their in-patient stay for the information of their family practitioner.

Job summary
The Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital is a busy district general hospital close to the Kent coast and surrounded by countryside. We have 3000 deliveries per year. The labour ward has 8 delivery rooms and a dedicated obstetric emergency theatre which is present on the labour ward.
The Trust hosts medical students on attachment from GKT, UCL and Imperial Medical Schools and became a University Hospital linked to GKT in 2009.
From September 2020, we started to host an intake of medical students from the new Kent and Medway medical school which is based in East Kent.
Main duties of the job
The job plan will contain 10 Programmed Activities per week consisting of 8 direct clinical care PA's and 2 supporting professional activity PA's. The precise length of Programmed Activities may vary from week to week around the average assessment set out in the Job Plan.
There will be a Friday on call with out of hours frequency will occur every fourth week (Category A at 8%) with weekend frequency being 1:7 (Category A at 5%) as well as regular antenatal clinics, gynae clinics, operating lists and triage cover. These will either be stand alone or alongside another consultant. There will be timetabled theatre sessions for the planned caesarean birth lists.

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Stroke Consultant within our Trust, offering a dynamic role. Main duties of the job
Deliver Clinical, Educational, Managerial Services of the highest professional standard at Consultant Level to the Department
Work with existing consultants and the multi-disciplinary team to provide a high quality well-led service for patients of Ashford & St Peters, including the diagnosis, investigations, treatment, and management of patients, in accordance with Trust policies and practices.
Deliver Direct Clinical Care to patients, through all parts of the Department assisting clinical decision-making and sharing equally in the workload.

Job summary
The Medical Wards at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey is recruiting for Senior HCSWs. We see a variety of patients with a range of acute and complex medical conditions that often require close monitoring and specialised clinical care. The role is suited to someone that enjoys challenges, is able to prioritise their work and has a strong interest in acute and complex care.
We are seeking people they are able to work a varied shift pattern include long days, nights and weekends

Main duties of the job
Our Healthcare Support Workers are at the heart of providing direct patient centred care, supporting the Registered Nurses and Nursing Associates as well as the wider Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
The role is varied, equally challenging and rewarding, where you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the experience of our patients. The role includes:
- Providing direct patient care including meeting hygiene, continence, nutrition, pressure area care and mobility needs

We are seeking NMC registered Nursing Associates that are ready to work as part of the nursing and multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care for patients presenting with all kinds of medical needs.

Apprentices support qualified Craftspersons in the maintenance, operation, and repair of systems. Apprentices support qualified Craftspersons in the maintenance, operation, and repair of systems. They assist with duties such as installation, fault finding, repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the effective operation of equipment and estates. The level of direct involvement and autonomy will typically scale across an apprentices employment in line with their skill, experience and training level.
The nature of hospital work sites ranges from commercial level infrastructure through to industrial level infrastructure and therefore requires all operatives to possess a high degree of training and expertise in its maintenance and operation. In addition to this, many of our customers are vulnerable adults and children, whom may be more susceptible to injury, harm or death should these operations or maintenance functions be poorly or incorrectly undertaken.
The purpose of incorporating apprentices within the team is to provide a pathway for non-qualified individuals to enter the National Health workforce and attain the skills, qualifications and experience required to be considered a competent craftsperson, with the result yielding to progression opportunities and a potential career. The post holder will:
Perform data entry tasks in the Cytology office using the Enterprise LIMS.
Answer phone calls and take appointment bookings.
Answer telephone helpline enquires and refer on queries to other areas if necessary.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Highly Specialist Dietitian to provide a comprehensive nutrition and dietetics service in the acute hospital setting to a caseload of in-patient paediatrics, associated clinics.
Main duties of the job
The highly Specialist Paediatric Dietitian is responsible for delivering day-to-day care for children, young people, their families and carers living with dietetic needs and will manage a designated clinical caseload of children and young people with dietetic requirements. The post holder will use clinical judgement and autonomous decision-making about the specialist nursing / AHP care and management of patients, undertaking a range of specialist clinical actions across a variety of settings following assessment of patients' needs and preferences.
They will provide expert and specialist paediatric dietetic advice, education, training and support to key partners within both the community and acute settings and work collaboratively and effectively with all other health care professionals, those allied to health and those in the third sector services.
The post holder will work at an enhanced level of practice utilising highly developed post graduate experience, knowledge and skills in dietetic specialty. They will manage discrete aspects of a patient's care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, within their current level of practice and patient group, aligned to the four pillars of practice and aligned to Trust policy, 'Enhanced, Advanced and Consultant Level Practice- Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs).'
