Job summary

What we're seeking:An Experienced Senior Project Manager.Experience in the healthcare sector and ideally delivered genomics projects.Proven track record of successfully delivering projects.Exceptional communication skills.You have demonstrated leadership ability and expertise in matrix management.A PRINCE2 practitioner level qualification.As the Programme Manager (Genomics), you'll not only lead projects but also play a pivotal role in developing the professional skills of our team. Through peer reviews and personal development initiatives, you'll ensure that each team member delivers project outputs to the highest standard, always on time and within budget.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of a number of strategic clinical digital projects, including, but not limited to:
o The development and delivery of a comprehensive programme of digital projects to support expanded and /or improved clinical/laboratory service delivery, primarily related to Genomics. This consists of a complex set of sub-projects. The role will be supported by experienced subject matter experts.o Provision of programme management governance and formal report submission to Senior Responsible Officers and to Trust Clinical Genomics / transformation programme boards.o Responsibility for delivering projects on time, to budget and to agreed quality standards that meet business needs. The appointee will liaise with the key stakeholders from the business and the Digital Diagnostics Programme, working closely with other Programme and Project Managers and Workstream Leads.o There will be a requirement for the post holder to liaise with external stakeholders, specifically senior leadership at the North Thames Genomics Medicine Service (NTGMS).

Job summary
Working within the Private Care Division of the world famous Royal Marsden Foundation Trust you will be working within a Billing and Credit Control team based in Wallington, Surrey. We are looking for someone to work with us as part of the team responsible for the collection of all invoices in respect of patients attending the hospital for treatment privately, sponsored by Private Medical Insurers and also self-pay patients. The successful candidate will need to be methodical, accurate, good Excel skills and have an excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required as the post involves direct contact with sponsors, patients and staff at all levels.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to work as part of the team responsible for ensuring that all payments owed to the Trust in respect of Private Medical Insurance Companies, Self-Funding Patients are collected promptly and in accordance with the Standing Financial Instructions and the Standard Operating Procedures.
The post holder will be responsible for liaising with the Admissions and Accounts office in respect of billing queries to ensure that any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.The post holder will be expected to adopt a professional and caring attitude, with a polite and courteous manner in all aspects of communication.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
- Cancer care is a rapidly developing area of expertise within Occupational Therapy.

The Gynaecological Unit, led by Mr John Bulter, at the Royal Marsden has a strong reputation for its multidisciplinary approach to the management of gynaecological malignancy. Professor Susana Banerjee is Clinical Research Lead for the Gynaecology Unit. The gynaecology research team, led by Professor Banerjee, is world class developing, leading and delivering phase I-III clinical trials several of which have led to changes in clinical practice.
Acute Oncology Service (AOS) provision was identified in 2009 as a key recommendation of the National Chemotherapy Advisory Group (NCAG) for improving quality and safety of emergency care for those patients with previously undiagnosed cancer and complications of cancer or treatment. The AOS service at the Royal Marsden is an established part of the urgent care pathway with the aim of supporting self-care, admission avoidance and ensuring cancer patients receive the right care in the right place with the necessary facilities and expertise.

Here on McElwain Ward at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, we are looking for a housekeeper to join our busy Unit treating children who have been diagnosed with Cancer. You would need to be enthusiastic, organized, and methodical in your approach to work. You would be responsible for ordering ward stores and equipment and maintaining stock levels of the same as well as ensuring high standards of hygiene throughout the ward in conjunction with our cleaning team. You would be able to work well within a team and perform well in stressful situations. This is an active role and the suitable candidate would be required to convey samples to the laboratory where they may also be responsible for collecting blood products for delivery to the ward. There are occasions when haste is essential and prioritizing workload is of the utmost importance.
Main duties of the job
The Ward Housekeeper will work as an integral part of the ward team. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities/services in the ward area and for ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

Job summary
We have seven modern theatres in Chelsea which includes three robotic theatres. We cover a wide range of specialties, including Sarcoma and Melanoma, Upper and Lower GI, Plastics, Head and Neck, Gynaecology, Urology and Breast, using a wide range of surgical techniques. Our theatres scrub team is trusted, skilled, hardworking and supportive, and we're looking for a motivated and experienced scrub nurse or experienced scrub ODP who can demonstrate leadership qualities and a real interest in high quality perioperative care to join us.

Main duties of the job
- To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which have been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- As a member of the theatre team to perform all the tasks of a registered theatre nurse/ODP including resuscitation, scrub and circulation following all checks and procedures as laid down in National and Trust theatre policy. The post holder is expected to carry out all the relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise underqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex scrub equipment (diathermy, laparoscopic, robotic etc). To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularly relating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes and sterilisation of instruments.
- Take on responsibilities for ordering stock and non-stock supplies and arranging timely servicing of this equipment, both routine and urgent.
- Support the continuing specialist professional development of all staff in Chelsea Theatres by acting as a role model and mentor, in conjunction with the specialist practice educators and Theatre sister/charge nurse.

This Administrator post is important to the day-to-day running of both the Lymphoedema service and the wider Therapies department. The post is split between Lymphoedema administration and reception duties.
The Lymphoedema element of the role includes arranging appointments, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, managing clinical correspondence and distributing compression garments to patients. The post also provides reception cover for the Therapies service, supporting patients when they attend appointments and dealing with general enquiries.
Dedicated administrative and reception support enables therapists to focus on clinical and patient-facing work. Without this support, therapists would need to undertake more administrative and reception duties, reducing clinical capacity and potentially impacting waiting times and patient experience.
The post is required to support the continued delivery of the Lymphoedema service and provide essential reception cover for the wider Therapies department. Maintaining this administrative capacity will help the service continue to manage appointments and patient enquiries, support the clinical team and minimise further pressure on waiting lists and patient access to treatment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a customer focused service for all patients and visitors attending or passing through the Therapy Services Department. The post holder will be responsible for efficient and effective administrative support to the Therapy Services teams including dealing with all phone enquiries, inputting relevant data onto the Epic system and supporting the clinical teams.

The successful candidate will play a central role within our motivated and committed Recovery team in Chelsea. As a Band 5 Recovery Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, individualised post-anaesthetic care to patients undergoing a wide range of complex surgical procedures. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within the recovery environment, using sound clinical judgement to recognise changes in a patient's condition, initiate appropriate interventions and escalate concerns promptly. You will work collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre practitioners to ensure safe and effective patient care and transfer from the recovery area.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of needs of patients. To carry out all relevant forms of care for patients of all specialities. To maintainsupervision of unregistered staff, during each spell of duty. To be able to teach other nursing /ODP staff including nurse/ ODP learners.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex theatre equipment (glidoscope, bronchoscopes etc) with responsibility for ordering stock and non-stock supplies and arranging timely servicing ofthis equipment, both routine and urgent. To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularly relating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes & sterilisation of instruments.
- Support the senior staff and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining excellent clinical standards of clinical practice and staff development as part of the theatre team.
- Provide specialist clinical advice Trust wide to support and facilitate high quality, individualised, evidence-based care to patients/ clients and relatives/ carers in collaboration with the multi professional team, in line with the local and national targets.

Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Band 5 staff nurse to join our nursing team to provide expert care and support our patients in the Outpatients department, at the Chelsea site. The department manages multi-speciality medical/ surgical oncology clinics including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The phlebotomy service is also run by the Outpatient team.
The post holder will work in the outpatient department; it is open Monday-Friday 08.00 - 1800There are many new and exciting innovative opportunities for a Band 5 nurse within the Royal Marsden Trust. Main duties of the job
- To plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- To develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit.
- To develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of managing a shift with the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.

Main duties of the job
- To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which have been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- As a member of the theatre team to perform all the tasks of a registered theatre nurse/ODP including resuscitation, scrub and circulation following all checks and procedures as laid down inNational and Trust theatre policy. The post holder is expected to carry out all the relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise underqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex scrub equipment (diathermy, laparoscopic etc) To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularlyrelating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes and sterilisation of instruments.

Main duties of the job
- To be a expert practitioner in Recovery and act as an effective, professional and clinical role model. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our proactive Critical Care Outreach Team for a 12 months fixed term contract. We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced and highly motivated critical care nurse who will work with the team to support us in the delivery of a high-quality 24-hour service across both Chelsea and Sutton sites. You will work collaboratively to provide acute oncology care to at risk or deteriorating cancer patients. You will carry out advanced assessment and care of deteriorating patients leading to early intervention and treatment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously is essential. You will be part of the Resuscitation team/Hospital@Night and would be required as an ALS provider to lead rescue interventions and facilitate transfers to and from critical care. You will work a mixture of days and nights as well as weekends within the team.
You will be involved in the service development, improvement and participate actively in audit and research. You would need to demonstrate leadership and managerial expertise as a Band 7 Charge Nurse/Sister in Critical Care Outreach.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a 24-hour Critical Care Outreach (CCO) service across the Chelsea and Sutton site.
- To be an active member of the hospital at night (H@N) team.
- To identify patients who are acutely deteriorating and are for active treatment.
- To work in collaboration with the Critical Care Unit team (CCU), Medical/Surgical teams and the Clinical Site Practitioner (CSP) to assess and treat the acutely deteriorating patient.
- To follow up all patients discharged from CCU/Step-up to ensure patients do not deteriorate clinically on step down from the unit.

The Head and Neck Unit at The Royal Marsden is one of the largest of its kind in Europe and includes one of the largest research teams within the trust. The role of Biological Specimen Coordinator is pivotal, and you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with a variety of staff throughout the Royal Marsden and Institute of Cancer (ICR).
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who must have previous clinical research experience and ability to uphold high standards of clinical trial conduct in accordance with the principles of GCP. In addition, you will have excellent communication, and administrative skills, and be supportive to new initiatives. Main duties of the job
- The post holder will work within the RMHNST and ICR and be responsible for collecting, cataloguing, and processing clinical samples at both Chelsea and Sutton sites.
- Processing, labelling, managing, and tracking the collection and sending of samples in compliance with all current regulations and SOPs.
- Storing samples in the appropriate conditions (e.g., fridges and freezers at -80oC).

Ellis ward is a 14-bed adult female surgical ward, predominantly caring for patients undergoing treatment for breast and gynaecological cancers as well as other specialities including Colorectal, Upper GI, and Urology. We will offer you a supernumerary period designed to explore all that the ward has to offer, time allocated with the mentor and members of the various MDTs with whom we work and provide a tailor-made programme to introduce you to the ward. Although oncology experience is desirable, we provide training in order for you to develop your nursing oncology knowledge as well as developing your leadership. We offer opportunities for further education with the Royal Marsden School including skills such as chemotherapy administration.

This post is intended for surgical trainees who wish to dedicate further time to training in specialist surgical oncology. All new cases are reviewed at a weekly multidisciplinary meeting where management is discussed. This provides the Registrar with an unparalleled experience. Surgical management includes soft tissue tumours of the limbs and limb girdle, intra- abdominal and trunk, and minimally invasive surgery where appropriate. About 5% of these patients will require reconstruction of skin and soft tissue. There will be opportunities for clinical research and the preparation of papers for presentation and publication.
Main duties of the job
Similarly, there is a multidisciplinary team handling patients with malignant melanoma. There will be ample opportunities to learn techniques of lymph node dissection, isolated limb perfusion and laser vaporisation of in-transit metastatic melanoma, and the administration of intra-lesional therapies.
The unit provides a diagnostic service for patients referred under the suspicion of sarcoma through a series of linked diagnostic centres in the region who initially assess patients and suspicious cross-sectional imaging is reviewed in a dedicated diagnostic MDT on Friday morning. Patients with likely diagnoses of sarcoma then brought for assessment at the Royal Marsden. The successful applicant will be involved in this diagnostic pathway.

The GI & Lymphoma Research Unit is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Practitioner to join our research team on a one-year fixed-term contract.
The Assistant Practitioner is a valued member of the multidisciplinary research team, supporting registered nurses and other clinical staff in the delivery of high-quality clinical and research care to patients participating in clinical trials and research studies.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will undertake a range of activities under the supervision of a registered nurse, having been assessed and deemed competent in the activities required.
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the efficient service provision by providing clerical, clinical and sample processing support and will take a lead on the handling and storage of tissue samples and survival follow up of long term clinical trials.
