The position is for an Neuro Oncology Specialist Nurse to Join our expanding team. We are particularly interested in those nurses with previous experience in the speciality or have experience caring for patients with Neurological conditions. Despite this we do recognise that applicants may not have worked directly in the Neuro Oncology speciality. There is therefore the opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic candidate to continue their professional development, supported by our Neurology team and take on this new challenge.

Main duties of the job
To provide a service working within the Clinical Nurse Specialist nursing team within the speciality of Neurology. Managing a shared caseload within Neuro Oncology. Acting as a link with our community colleagues and GP's.
The role is Monday to Friday (either full time or part time).

Main duties of the job
The job entails responsibilities in acute Paediatrics and neonatal ward work, outpatient clinics, assessment and treatment of patients in the Paediatric assessment unit and sharing with consultants the supervision and teaching of resident doctors. The job involved a combination of normal working day shifts, long day and night shifts.
There will be opportunities for in -service training, development of special interests or participation in the CSER Programme. Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a Locum Consultant in Palliative Medicine on a 6 month post, expected to start in October/November. Successful candidates will join the Palliative Medicine team that consists of three consultants.
Candidates should be fully registered with the GMC and MRCP or equivalent is essential. The post-holder will provide a Palliative Medicine advisory service to the clinical teams within Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
As a Trust we have been actively involved in developing the training program for students from the Three Counties Medical School based in Worcester which opened in September 2023. We also have a long-established role in training medical students from the University of Birmingham and undergraduates from the University of Warwick.

Main duties of the job
The Department of Palliative Care provides an advisory specialist palliative care service for hospital patients at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust. The Hospital Palliative Care Team are based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital (WRH) and the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, with close working with the other Consultants in Palliative Medicine based at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (WHAT).
A component of this WTE post is to support the COMPASS service. The COMPASS service is due for launch in late 2026 / early 2027 and a consultant has been recently appointed to lead this service.
COMPASS - This is a new initiative seeking to guide patients and professionals to the right care in the right place at the right time. The role incorporates both the assessment of patients presenting with palliative care needs in acute receiving areas at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, alongside oversight of patients with palliative care needs being cared for by the Hospital at Home service. The aim is to provide acute holistic management and interventions at home preventing hospital or hospice admission, if preferred.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Specialist in Endoscopy to join a high-performing, JAG-accredited endoscopy service delivering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across Wye Valley NHS Trust's two-site model. Job summary
The Urology service has links with neighbouring specialist cancer teams including University Hospitals Birmingham and the Wye Valley NHS Trust as part of the Urology Area Network. The Worcestershire Urology Specialist MDT is normally attended by 2-3 Oncologists, 2 Consultant Radiologists, a Pathologist, and all of the key members of the Urology clinical team. Videoconferencing with sub-specialist MDTs in adjacent Centre is also available. Urology services in the West Midlands are currently undergoing a comprehensive review with proposals around Clinical Alliances between providers under consideration. It is an exciting time to join the Urology department within Worcestershire, as we progress through the Trusts Clinical Services strategy. The trust will soon be replacing existing theatre infrastructure with a new 4 operating department complex housing ultraclean-laparoscopic enabled and robotic suites. Novel surgical techniques for treatment of BPH are to be implemented in addition to enhanced community Urology services, delivered in collaboration with our system partners. The ongoing reconfiguration of Surgical Services will deliver co-location of elective pelvis specialties Hospital: Urology,at the Alexandra Urogynaecology, Colorectal Surgery & Gynaecology. The high degree of service interdependency and collaboration between these specialties delivers an opportunity to realise our vision of delivering a Centre of Excellence for Urology & Pelvic surgery.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will offer high quality day to day care to Urology and General Surgery patients at Alexandra Hospital Redditch, and deliver a first class clinical service to include activities equivalent to Middle Grade/Registrar level. They will offer high quality day to day care of patients and deliver a first class clinical service to include outpatient/diagnostic clinics, day case theatre procedures, elective theatre activity, inpatient care as required. There may be exciting opportunities to support the initiation of our Robotic Surgery program through tableside assistance with training as required. The post holder(s) will be required to participate in an on call commitment. The post holder(s) will have a continuing responsibility for the care of the patients in their charge. This will include responsibility for undertaking the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and wider administration for the department. The Trust may consider evening working (e.g. three session theatre days) as scheduled activity and may also wish to reach agreement with the individual about the possibility of future scheduling of routine work on a Saturday with other colleagues in the Urology Department. The post holder will undertake professional supervision and management of the junior medical staff.

Job summary
The successful candidate will join the mortuary team to provide and supervise an efficient and high quality mortuary and post mortem examination Service to the Local Authority, H.M. Coroner and the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust at the WRH & the Alexandra Hospital. This is a part time role working 32.25hours per week. We open to flexible working .
In addition to technical responsibility, the post holder will provide supervision, training and support to qualified and unqualified APTs, porters, security staff, nurse bleep holders/managers, and students. The role will assist to develop and maintain effective operating procedures, which comply with Health and Safety, legal, UKAS, HTA and Trust policies, guidelines and legislation.
This exciting opportunity requires working as part of the team, within which the post holder will assist to develop effective systems implemented to provide an efficient and safe mortuary service countywide. To perform and assist with mortuary audits monthly and quarterly for, and FOI requests.

We are seeking motivated flexible individuals who would like to become Cleaning staff to become members of our Soft Facilities team working within central Hereford, cleaning in both clinical and office environments.
These extremely vital roles are the lifeblood of the NHS and are pivotal in preventing infections and providing our clinical staff with the environment to offer the highest standard of care to our patients.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for individuals who can:
- Deliver and achieve a high standard of cleaning in both clinical and non-clinical settings, to the standards set within the NHS National Standards of Cleanliness (2021) - TRAINING PROVIDED
- Provide a range of general cleaning services to clinic rooms, offices and toilets/showers. This includes vacuuming, wet and dry mopping and damp dusting, to a high standard. Attention to detail essential.
- Ensure all chemical and cleaning solutions are used correctly.
- Carry out all cleaning tasks in accordance with the work schedule.
- Wear protective clothing necessary for tasks to be completed.
- Always observe site rules and regulations.
- Report all machine and building faults to Supervisor.
- Full clean driving licence essential.

This substantive post includes an on-call commitment and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, expanding department.
We are looking to complement existing colleagues activity with a full time post with a specialist interest in skin cancer and Mohs surgery to continue to provide a high quality service across the two counties.
Clinical work will include general OMFS conditions and there is scope to develop the role and activities that will complement the forward direction of the department. Main duties of the job
The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery team provide services across Worcestershire at three of our hospital sites including Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, Redditch and Kidderminster Treatment Centre. Working with our partners in Herefordshire via the local Integrated Care Board allows us to deliver care to patients across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The department works collaboratively with the Ear, Nose and Throat and Dermatology Departments and benefits from their partnership with the Directorate Leadership Team.
The OMFS Department provide a specialist Head and Neck Cancer Services for Herefordshire and Worcestershire with services delivered both locally and in partnership with University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire. Two consultant Head and Neck OMF Surgeons work across the two Trusts to provide a co-ordinated service. The OMFS team are core members of the Trusts multidisciplinary skin cancer service and Local Skin Cancer MDT which offers dedicated skin cancer CNS input and is supported by the regional Specialist Skin Cancer MDT. Contemporary management of dentofacial disproportion is provided by the multidisciplinary orthognathic service with access to virtual planning resources and 3D printing.

The HSDU (Sterile Services) department is an enthusiastic team who work in a busy fast paced department. The Sterile Services Department reprocesses surgical instruments for the Trust and surrounding areas. The department works from 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday. Recently two new operating theatres have opened within the Alexandra Hospital to tackle the waiting list backlog following the Covid pandemic. This has created more Sterile Services Assistant job opportunities within the HSDU department. The shift available is 6pm - 10pm Monday to Friday. This is a physically demanding role with repetitive tasks. This role involves periods of standing and manual handling duties with some sets weighing up to 13KG.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role are the collection of used surgical instruments, preparing the instruments for the washer disinfector. The sterilisation and delivery of the reprocessed surgical instruments.
There will be limited duties of the above as this is a temporary post.

Job summary
The Breast Services department is strongly supported by a Lead Breast Specialist Nurse and Specialist Nurses in Primary and Secondary Breast Cancer, as well as an Surgical Care Practitioners. There is also a dedicated Breast Clinical Governance and Risk Management Lead.
We offer a wide range of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, Including Implant based reconstruction, Therapeutic Mammoplasty. Latissimus Dorsi Flap reconstruction, Local artery perforator flap surgery and both wire and magseed guided surgery.
There are weekly countywide MDT meetings for the Breast Cancer, which are well supported by the MDT coordinators, specialist nurses, Histopathology, Radiology and Oncology Consultants.
There are close links between the Plastic Surgery Department at the university Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire and the other Directorates within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
DUTIES OF THE POST
- Under the guidance of the consultants, the post holder will be responsible for the clinical care of Breast patients.
- There is not expectation of on call
- To assist in Breast Out-patient clinics
- Perform Breast surgery within his/her capability sometimes without supervision and if difficulties arise beyond his/her competence to consult the relevant or on call Consultant.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of proper case records and investigations on patients, and correspondence with General Practitioners and others as required
- Duties will be arranged with the consultant to whom you are responsible, and you must discuss and understand these duties as soon as possible as you take up your appointment. Job summary
We are currently recruiting Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians to work at the Worcester Royal Hospital.
We are looking for one individual with an aspiration to provide patient care by ensuring that our patients get the right medicine at the right time. These full time posts will start in March 2027.
The role will involve working in an acute hospital setting within multi-disciplinary teams.
You will have the opportunity to complete a 2-year,day release college course to gain a Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.
You will gain experience in all aspects of pharmacy services including ward based pharmacy where you will be interviewing patients about their medications on admission, work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure all medications are available for the patient, including the provision of discharge medication. You will be trained in dispensing, preparation of sterile products, stock management and procurement. This experience will enable you to play an integral part in own Trust values, and Putting the Patient first.

The salary is 70% of top of Band 4 pay band year 1 and 75% of top of a Band 4 pay band Year 2(Annex 21/U).For existing NHS staff pay preservation will be available(Annex 30). Minimum wage may be applied dependent on pay awards. This can discussed further at interview.
Upon successful completion of the two-year training programme, you will be eligible for registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician with all the benefits & opportunities that the profession has to offer.

Workforce Information Assistant Apprentice - Band 2 (Full Time - 24 months Fixed Term Contract)
Apprenticeship Course and Provider to be confirmed.
An exciting new opportunity to join the Workforce Information Systems Team within the Trust as a Workforce Information Assistant Apprentice delivering daily, weekly and monthly activities to support all Workforce staff including Nursing and Medical workforce to utilise and maintain the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) System.
Full training on the ESR System will be provided for the appointable candidate, however an interest in working / manipulating data/ using Microsoft Excel would be preferable.
This full time post will be an integral part of the workforce team, providing day to day support for the ESR system and will be based in a busy working office environment and from time to time may require some on-site meetings as appropriate.
Interacting closely with other HR teams, you will need to have a flexible approach to your work, as well as the ability to use your own initiative whilst working efficiently as part of the team.
Internal Support will be provided every step of the way and would ideally suit someone with an analytical mind, who is numerate.

Main duties of the job
To assist in the maintenance of the computerised ESR system. Support with the updating of the self-service hierarchy where/when necessary to ensure that Managers have access to their staff member's data (job /absence/ salary/ personal details etc.)
To help ensure that the data quality within the systems are accurate and this is maintained at all times using information provided through data quality/cleansing reports - this can be a complex and detailed task where accuracy and diligence are paramount.

We have a full time fixed term post for 12 months Band 5 to cover a secondment.

The Ross-On-wye District Nursing Team are a very supportive and dedicated team, we are an incredibly engaging, positive and hard-working team, providing care and support to patients in their own homes.
We work closely with Golden Valley DN Team and often work as a locality where needed.
We work closely with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams, including GP's, Palliative Care Nurses, Therapy Teams, and Advanced Clinical Practitioners. Ross DN Team also provide a wound clinic service based at the Community Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Our aim is to provide treatment and support to patients in their own homes. Whilst undertaking a holistic nursing assessment, we aim to encourage patients to remain as independent as possible, in order to prevent hospital admissions.
Due to the nature of this role, lone working and the ability to meet the travel requirements of the post are essential.

Job summary
This post is suitable for a band 6 dietitian with experience in diabetes. We will also consider an experienced band 5 dietitian, who would like to progress to a band 6 diabetes dietitian. Training will be provided and on completion of competencies the post holder will progress to a band 6 position. This is expected to take 6-12 months dependent upon previous experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a diabetes dietitian to join the dietetic team at Hereford County Hospital. The dietetic team comprises of 16 dietitians and 4 dietetic assistants.
Main duties of the job
The diabetes dietitians work closely with the wider diabetes MDT to provide 1:1 and group education/ promote self-management to patients with all types of diabetes across Herefordshire. Specialist services include antenatal service, insulin pump clinics and young adult clinics.
Post-registration experience in diabetes is desirable for this post however training can be provided. You will be supported in your role by the Band 7 diabetes dietitians.
The successful candidate will have a caseload of face to face outpatient clinics, virtual outpatient clinics, MDTs and structured education groups for all types of diabetes.
