About us
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provide hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon. The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust. But with the right people on board, we are rising to this challenge, putting our people in the driving seat, encouraging innovation and transforming our services to give local people the quality of care they deserve. Croydon Health Services puts a great deal of importance on education and training. Croydon University Hospital plays an active role in training the clinicians of the future and works in partnership with major London universities
If you want the opportunity to have a real impact, challenge yourself and be part of an NHS Trust then a career at Croydon Health Services could be just what you're looking for.

School Staff Nurse
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust View all jobs
Posted 27 day(s) ago
Reference: 846-8250973-UJ
Job summary
Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare or working on the Staff Bank within these organisations. Nursing and AHP vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses/AHPs.
Now is the time to be part of a healthcare transformation. The new NHS 10-Year Plan puts community care at the centre of service delivery--shifting resources closer to where people live and promoting prevention over hospital admission.
As a member of a community-based NHS trust, you'll be at the forefront of this change. Work in integrated neighbourhood teams, delivering joined-up care alongside GPs, mental health professionals, social workers, and voluntary services. Benefit from new roles, clear career pathways, apprenticeships, and personalised development support.
The plan also brings new workforce standards: improved flexible working, mental health support, safe workplaces, and strong protections against discrimination. With greater investment in underserved areas and a focus on reducing health inequalities, your work will have local impact and national importance.
Community trusts are leading the way in digital innovation, using tools like virtual wards to reduce admin and improve patient care.
If you're passionate about making a difference, this is your chance to help deliver a modern, inclusive, and community-focused NHS.
Main duties of the job
Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people? Join our School Nursing team and help shape healthier futures for children aged 5-19 across our communities.
Working alongside Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHNs), you'll deliver a wide range of preventative and early intervention services that support children, young people and their families to thrive.
No two days are the same. You'll manage your own caseload, deliver health promotion sessions, assess health needs, identify concerns early and support children with both complex and additional needs. You'll play a key role in promoting healthy lifestyles, emotional wellbeing, resilience, self-care and health literacy, while helping to reduce health inequalities and risk-taking behaviours.
We're passionate about delivering outstanding patient experience. Kindness, compassion and the ability to adapt your communication to meet the needs of children, young people, families and colleagues are at the heart of everything we do.
If you're motivated by making a positive impact, enjoy building trusted relationships and want a rewarding role where you can support children to be healthy, safe and ready to achieve their potential, we'd love to hear from you.
Join us and help every child get the best start in life.
Additional Working Pattern: Mon-Fri 9-5
About us
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026. Following integration and to align our community services to the new Neighbourhood Model of care delivery, there will be a period of consultation which may result in changes affecting some services, teams or roles. Depending on the area you are applying to work in, this could include potential changes to your role, work base, reporting arrangements, or terms and conditions of employment. Any changes would be subject to consultation and managed sensitively and in line with relevant employment processes. Please do contact the recruiting manager if you have any concerns about this so they can answer any questions you might have.
Rated 'Outstanding' by CQC, we deliver high-quality care that improves the health of our communities. We are looking for people who share our values:Compassionate, Aspirational, Responsive and Excellent.
We are proud to be an inclusive, welcoming organisation and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. We use protected characteristic information for monitoring only and it is not seen by recruiting managers, except where applicants choose to be considered under our disability guaranteed interview scheme.
We know life outside work matters. As a flexible working-friendly organisation, we welcome conversations about arrangements that help you thrive while supporting excellent care for our patients.
