Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Finance Analyst to join our Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong analytical and Excel skills to play a key role in supporting financial reporting, data analysis, income validation and reconciliation activities across the Trust.
The post holder will work with large and complex financial, workforce and operational datasets, ensuring information is accurate, reliable and presented in a meaningful way to support decision-making. You will contribute to the production of financial reports, contract income schedules and forecasting information that support the effective delivery of healthcare services.
Working closely with Finance Managers, Business Partners and operational colleagues, you will investigate variances, undertake reconciliations, support reporting automation and identify opportunities to improve processes and data quality.
We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, advanced Excel skills and the ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience of data manipulation, reporting and analysis is essential, and NHS finance experience would be advantageous.
In return, we offer a supportive team environment, flexible working opportunities, professional development and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing, validating and reconciling financial, workforce and operational information to support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting. This includes extracting data from multiple systems, maintaining audit trails and ensuring information used for decision making is complete and reliable.
You will prepare routine and ad-hoc reports, undertake detailed reconciliations, investigate variances and support month end and year end financial processes. The role includes validating contract income information, reconciling data between systems and supporting responses to audit and information requests.
The post holder will analyse large and complex datasets, prepare information to support planning, forecasting and efficiency programmes, and present findings in a clear and meaningful format for both finance and non-finance colleagues.
You will contribute to the development of reporting tools, reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to improve data quality, reporting efficiency and financial controls across the organisation.
We are looking for an individual with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, strong attention to detail and advanced Excel skills. The ability to manage competing priorities, work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders is essential.
About us
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides joined-up mental and physical healthcare for around two million people across our communities. With over 13,000 staff working in the community and local hospitals, we deliver care at every stage of life, helping people live their best and healthiest lives.
Our mental health services include community-based support and early intervention in psychosis (EIP) for both adults and young people, alongside a network of specialist inpatient wards covering forensic, learning disability, eating disorder and older person's care.
We deliver extensive physical health services too, from urgent community response teams helping frail and older patients remain safely at home, to hospitals at home teams providing acute-level care in familiar surroundings. Our neurological services offer rehabilitation and treatment for conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Head Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Stroke. Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.
Everything we do is underpinned by our CARE values of compassion, accountability, respect and excellence

Job summary
Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (Band 8a) or Preceptorship (Band 7)
Permanent Post 0.9 (33.75 hours) opportunities for flexible working.
We are seeking to recruit a skilled, innovative and compassionate Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work across the acute in-patient and community mental health services in the London borough of Greenwich.
Psychology's contribution in these settings is well established, and the link that this post provides for older people who are transferring between the in-patient and community setting has been shown to be effective and highly valued.
This role involves 2.5 day based in the Older People CMHT at Memorial Hospital, Greenwich, and 2 days on Shepherdleas, the Older People acute ward at Oxleas House, Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This post would suit someone who has a genuine interest in working therapeutically with this varied and rewarding client group.
The post holder will join well established multi-professional teams and benefit from close working relationships with other on-site psychological therapists. This is an exciting opportunity to improve the service user's experience of the interface between hospital and community services and to provide innovation and leadership in the development of the transitional pathway for older people.
Main duties of the job
The CMHT part of the post will include providing a specialist clinical service to clients and families, supervising both qualified and trainee psychologists, as required. You will join a dynamic and integrative team, in which different models of therapy are used creatively and according to our service users' needs.
The ward provides an assessment and intervention service to older people with a range of mental health needs including dementia. This offers stimulating and fulfilling opportunities of working in a multi-modal trans-diagnostic approach with people with a wide variety of presentations and their families and carers.
On the ward, you will have a pivotal role in supporting the wider inpatient team to think more psychologically and reflect on the wider organisation of care. There is a strong focus on indirect work through team formulation, reflective practice and staff training.
We will support you to learn the skills you need to thrive in this role. Specialist clinical supervision will be provided. The post sits alongside other highly skilled and motivated psychological therapies staff who meet regularly to provide peer support, and develop/review the psychological service across the Acute and Crisis Pathway.
