Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bed Manager to join our Team.
The bed manager role is a key role in the provision of safe patient flow across the Trust, ensuring patients receive the care they require in the most appropriate place. The bed manager will be part of the Operational site management team working 24/7 providing clinical expertise, managerial, leadership and coordination for the Trust across the Whiston, St Helens and Newton site.
The Operational Management Team is a key function in the provision of 5-star patient care across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
- The bed manager role is an important member of this team ensuring the effectiveutilisation of inpatient and day-case beds on a 24/7 basis whilst maintaining clinicalquality and safety.
- They will assist in the coordination of elective and non-elective admissions across the24 hour period, along with maintaining the various patient flow internal and externalsystems for monitoring and escalation.
- The postholder will provide nursing support, operational and clinical advice to all areaswithin the Trust.
- To develop the necessary skills and experience in patient flow and provide leadership.
- Act as deputy for the Operational Site Manager.
- To work according to NMC code of professional conduct and professional guidelines.

Job summary
Applications are invited from a highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join the Microbiology team, in the role of Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist - Health and Safety Officer. Applicants must be HCPC registered, have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject or Fellowship of the IBMS with extensive post registration experience in a routine diagnostic microbiology laboratory. We will accept applications from anyone who is within 3 months of completing a formal postgraduate qualification. Applicants must be prepared to work and attend meetings at any site.
Main duties of the job
An advanced scientific knowledge of Microbiology services along with the ability to demonstrate extensive experience of staff support, training, development and supervision is essential.
An extensive knowledge and awareness of the requirements of HSE and UKAS and other health and safety / quality management standards is essential.
The successful candidate will act as part of the senior quality and compliance team and as Health and Safety Officer for Microbiology.

We are looking for a motivated Developing EBME Technician to join our EBME/Clinical Engineering team.
This Band 4 developmental role (to Band 5) provides an opportunity to build specialist knowledge & practical skills in the maintenance, testing & repair of medical equipment used across the hospital.

Main duties of the job
The technician can independently maintain an agreed portfolio of low to moderate complexity medical equipment while continuing to receive supervision for more complex/high-risk equipment.

Cleanliness - All Estates & Facilities services staff
- To ensure the cleanliness of the area you are assigned to under the direction of the supervisor (Team Lead, Site Co-ordinator or Operational Manager) according to the NHS cleaning guides.

Main duties of the job
Role Purpose:
To support the Senior Facilities Manager in planning, managing and monitoring of a comprehensive Estates Service which effectively supports the delivery of its clinical services.
To manage the Estates maintenance team to provide a statutory compliant, effective and efficient Estates service. Core elements will include taking responsibility to ensure all compliance tasks (PPMs) are planned and completed by both the in-house team and contractors, planning and scheduling reactive works, Estates Health and Safety, communication at all levels, budgetary control, managing within HR Policies, safe and efficient use of resources, first line energy management etc.
Undertake project management of statutory standards/backlog maintenance/minor works schemes undertaken by specialist and external contractors including development of project briefs, procurement, contract and performance management.
To support clinical management in all aspects of operational estate management and represent the Estates function at local clinical operational meetings ie risk management, resident council, site management, health and safety, local service developments etc.
Responsible for the day to day management, monitoring, forecasting and reporting of budgets and expenditure for service contracts.
Management of Estates services and associated resources to ensure delivery of SSL's business and financial objectives.

Job summary
The Band 5 Haematology Nurse will provide high-quality patient care within both the inpatient and day-case haematology settings. - Undertake specialist telephone triage and assessment for patients with suspected or confirmed head and neck cancer.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Leeds Autism Diagnostic Service, for a Band 5 Autism Practitioner.We are looking for a motivated clinician with enthusiasm and passion to join our innovative and highly regarded Leeds Autism Diagnostic Service. Experience of working with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities and mental health is not essential, however you will have knowledge of these conditions and their needs.
You will be joining an experienced MDT within the Leeds Autism Diagnostic Service, consisting of highly skilled, motivated clinicians who are passionate about delivering the best service possible to adults seeking assessments of ASD as well as delivering follow up and consultancy to those already diagnosed. The team brings with it clinical expertise in neurodiversity including adult ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, dyspraxia and adult learning disability, as well as experience of community adult mental health, forensic and education services.
Main duties of the job
We will support the development of your ASD diagnostic assessment skills through access to robust internal & external training, continuing professional development, and clinical, managerial, and professional supervision. You will be trained in autism assessment tools including the ADOS-2. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, time management skills and you will need to be flexible in your therapeutic approach to work alongside individuals with different needs. We also link with regular CPD events, including fortnightly CPD sessions, team Away Days, attendance at relevant courses, national professional forums and conferences.
We work closely with universities supporting student placements, we also offer work experience to those in higher education.
Currently, there is an expectation that assessments will be delivered both virtually and face to face. A combination of home-based and office-based working is available; however, staff are required to undertake assessments across both settings as part of the role and work flexibly to meet service demand.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will contribute to the provision of specialist palliative care, supporting patient choice in maintaining dignified end of life care, to the people of Cardiff with malignant or non-malignant conditions who have a limited life expectancy. They will deliver therapeutic interventions in patients' homes, and/or when they attend City Hospice as an out-patient or attend our well-being services. They will provide advice, education and support to patients, their carers and other health care professionals. The post holder will also need to be passionate about delivering quality care to people receiving palliative or end of life care.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified counsellor to join the Mid Devon TALKWORKS team to deliver Counselling for Depression. You will hold a Diploma in Counselling, and have a minimum of two years post qualifying experience and be registered with a statutory body, such as the BACP. Training in the Counselling for Depression protocol will be provided if the successful candidate does not already hold this. Upon completion of the training the postholder will be promoted to Band 7.
We are a friendly team covering Tiverton, Crediton, Cullompton and Okehampton, with some work delivered at Elizabeth House on the outskirts of Exeter. There will be an expectation of two thirds of the post holder's time being spent delivering work at community locations, with the remainder being delivered remotely from home. We currently have room space in Tiverton, Crediton and Okehampton. The hours are flexible, but there is a requirement for at least one evening a week.
TALKWORKS provides NHS Talking Therapies across the county of Devon, [excluding Plymouth] and there are networking opportunities with counsellors in other parts of the service.
