This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in patient care by delivering high-quality blood collection services and supporting the wider clinical team in providing excellent healthcare to our local community.
As a valued member of our practice, you will work closely with GPs, nurses and administrative colleagues to ensure patients receive a safe, efficient and positive experience. We understand the importance of creating a positive working environment and strive to ensure our staff feel supported, appreciated and empowered in their roles. Our practice promotes teamwork, open communication and a strong work ethic, whilst recognising the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
In return, we offer the opportunity to work within a welcoming and forward-thinking practice, alongside a dedicated team committed to providing excellent patient care. Benefits include NHS Pension Scheme membership, access to ongoing training and development opportunities, a supportive management team, generous annual leave entitlement and the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of our local community every day.

Job summary
Due to internal promotion we are excited to be able to offer this permanent opportunity for a Children's Physiotherapist to join our well-established Children's Physiotherapy team based at Marlowes Health and Wellbeing Centre based in Hemel Hempstead.
Are you an experienced Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge within paediatrics or would like to develop your specialist skills in Children's Physiotherapy?
Do you want to be part of an innovative and agile Children and Young People's Therapy service committed to delivering high quality care?
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust provides integrated Children's Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy Services for families across the county. Our integrated service is jointly commissioned by health and education, allowing us to provide a seamless pathway of care from early years through to schools and specialist provisions.
*Interview date: 16 Oct 2026 in Welwyn Garden City*
HCT will prioritise recruitment of workers living in England under the new immigration rules for care workers effective from 9 April 2025. Employers must first prove that they have attempted to recruit a worker from within England who needs new sponsorship. This ensures that those who came to the UK to pursue a career in adult social care can do so.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be expected to hold a varied caseload for young people aged 0-19 years, providing interventions in a variety of settings such as homes, schools (including special schools), and clinics. Post graduate experience/training within paediatrics is desirable, however having a broad range of clinical skills across various rotations would also be taken into consideration. Support, mentoring and further training will be provided to meet the individual needs of practitioners in areas where up skilling and development is required.
Our integrated service provides opportunities for collaborative working, joint training and shared learning amongst each profession. We work closely with colleagues in education, with well-established relationships. HCT is strongly committed to continuing professional development and the delivery of evidence-based practice.
We can offer:
- Regular group supervision, managerial supervision and a well-established appraisal system
- CPD opportunities, including in service masterclasses
- Opportunities to develop leadership skills and to supervise less experienced members of staff
- Opportunities to work alongside other therapists/assistants to deliver intervention to children/young people requiring specialist support
- A initial induction period where you will have the opportunity to observe and shadow your team.
About us
A big thank you for considering joining us at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust
You'll find it a great place to work with many benefits offered to you as a member of our staff
We put our patients, their families and carers at the centre of our vision - Outstanding Services and Healthier Communities

We welcome diversity in our workforce and are interested in applicants from all backgrounds
We don't want you to miss out so we'd like you to know that if we have a high level of interest in this role, the vacancy may close prior to the advertised closing date, so please make your application as soon as possible - Apply now
You've made a great decision to apply to join to HCT - we're looking forward to taking the next steps of the journey with you.
