Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care in the Milton Keynes area. We offer round-the-clock, expert care to local patients with a life-limiting illness, both in their own homes and in our In-Patient Unit. Our passionate staff and volunteers make sure our care is personalised to each patients needs and supports their loved ones too. We have a thriving Therapeutic & Wellbeing service providing counselling, physiotherapy, activity groups and more, and a specialist Lymphoedema service. Well organised and able to manage a varied caseload, including working independently as a lone worker.
Experience in a hospice or specialist palliative care setting would be advantageous. Postgraduate training in palliative care, oncology or neurology, would also be an advantage. Just as important is your approach: compassionate, person-centred and focused on helping people live well.

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join CAIST, our under 18's Crisis Service as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner supporting young people and their families across Norfolk and Waveney.
We have bases in East, Central & West Norfolk; we allocate a base closest to where you live. The role is peripatetic so on occasion you may need to travel to different sites, so being able to travel independently is essential.
The CAIST (Crisis, Assessment & Intensive Support Team) service is a vibrant and dynamic service that has 3 teams based across Norfolk & Waveney service, 7 days a week. The service is commissioned for 08:00-20:00 7 days per week.
The team offers community based intensive support to children, young people & their families. CAIST aim to establish trusting therapeutic relationships, to reduce risks when children & young people may be experiencing high levels of distress.
When you join CAIST, you can expect your role to be varied and diverse - no two days are ever the same!
Main duties of the job
Whilst experience in working with children and young people would make you perfectly suited to this role, we are really open to welcoming people from clinical backgrounds who have experience in other areas of mental health. We understand that you will be able to bring with you a wealth of skills and experience to the team and would welcome new ways of thinking.
You will offer direct clinical work (crisis assessment and individual interventions via intensive support) with children under 18 years that have presented in crisis, alongside their families and carers where appropriate. We regularly work alongside other mental health services and social care teams, working collaboratively to support the needs of young people.You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and may have some supervisory responsibilities for junior colleagues.

About us
There are opportunities at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich and Lewisham Hospital to work on an ad hoc basis as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Please note this is for DAY SHIFTS ONLY.
We are currently looking at increasing our supply of RMNs to work on both sites in a variety of departments on an as and when required basis.
You will be registered with the NMC as an RMN and have a MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS POST REGISTRATION, NHS EXPERIENCE WITHIN A MENTAL HEALTH SETTING. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to supervise and support other team members. Reliability, confidence and commitment are essential characteristics you will need to succeed in this role.

We are seeking a highly motivated Cardiac Physiologist Specialised in Pacing and Cathlab to join our friendly and dynamic team, providing high standards of care and support to patients in the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
You will play a key role in the continuous development of our vibrant and growing cardiology service. The Cardiology Service offers a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures including Daytime Primary PCI, Elective PCI (with tools like Shockwave, IVUS, IFR, FFR), Brady Pacemaker implantation and follow-up, Cardioversion, Exercise Treadmill Testing, Tilt Testing, and ambulatory monitoring (Holter monitors, BP monitors and Loop recorder monitors). Our Cardiac Centre has 2 cathlabs, one of which is brand new.
We hold a Bi-Weekly Pacing/Cathlab meeting in which interesting cases are presented and discussed with an open-minded attitude, facilitating learning and development of clinical skills. We also produce constructive monthly pacing quality audit reports, incentivizing continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job

Job summary
The Occupational Therapist will provide the occupational therapy service to Danescourt, a six-bed community forensic step-down unit supporting individuals transitioning from secure forensic settings towards greater community independence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hospital at Home Therapy Instructor (Band 4) to join the Brent Unplanned Care Team, based in Wembley. This role is key to supporting patients to receive high quality, person centred care within their own homes, helping to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions and enabling timely discharge from acute settings.
The post holder will play an integral role in delivering rehabilitation programmes to patients within the community and Hospital at Home service. Working under the supervision of registered therapists, including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, you will support the assessment, treatment, and ongoing rehabilitation of patients with a wide range of physical and functional needs.
You will be responsible for implementing therapy treatment plans, supporting individuals to regain independence with activities of daily living, and assisting with mobility and exercise programmes. The role also involves contributing to admission avoidance and facilitating safe and effective discharge planning, ensuring patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our adult Speech and Language Therapy team on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will provide assessment and intervention for adults with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties, working collaboratively with patients, carers, care staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
- Undertake assessment, diagnosis, treatment and review of adults with communication and swallowing disorders, using evidence-based practice and relevant professional guidelines.
- Assess and manage dysphagia, including specialist oral motor and swallowing assessments.
- Provide clear, clinically appropriate recommendations to support safe eating, drinking and medication administration.
- Use appropriate assessment and treatment approaches, including relevant standardised assessments.
- Provide education, advice, support and training to patients, carers, care staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary and multi-agency team.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Eating and Drinking with Acknowledged Risks (EDAR) and its application within clinical practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organisational requirements.
- Manage and prioritise a clinical caseload effectively, ensuring appropriate follow-up and review.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and safe, effective service delivery.
