Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Administrative Manager to join the Medicine & Emergency Department team. This key role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the department's administrative services, ensuring the efficient delivery of a high-quality service that supports patient care and operational performance.
The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of reception staff, administrative officers and medical secretaries, providing effective leadership across a 24/7 service. You will work closely with clinical and operational colleagues to ensure that administrative processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with Trust policies and NHS standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven NHS management experience who is passionate about service improvement, staff development and delivering exceptional patient-focused services.

Main duties of the job
- Provide day-to-day operational management of the administrative function within the Medicine & Emergency Department.
- Lead, support and develop a team of reception staff, administrators and medical secretaries covering a 24-hour, 7-day service.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained, including management of sickness absence, annual leave, rostering and performance management.
- Monitor and improve administrative processes to ensure efficient patient pathways and high-quality service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams, senior managers and corporate services to support departmental objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Trust policies, NHS standards, information governance requirements and national targets.
- Oversee the management of patient administration systems and ensure data quality standards are maintained.
- Support service development initiatives and contribute to quality improvement and transformation projects.
- Produce reports and performance information as required to support operational management.

Main duties of the job

- Ensure there are sufficient staffing levels within the Administration Team at all times. This will include planning the rota for reception to cover both the front desk and phone lines.
- Provide training and development to staff members in the Administration Team as required, e.g. use of systems such as Lilie (patient record system) and other systems, SOPs, dealing withqueries from patients, etc.
- Develop a good working knowledge of administrative SOPs relating to the service. Provide cover and support to any aspect of the service as required (Florey Clinic reception, HIV,Contraception and Psychosexual Therapy).

The current 30 bedded Acute Stroke Unit cares for patients requiring close monitoring and observation, encompassing acute care skills, following thrombolysis and repatriation following specialist intervention such as thrombectomy as well as patients requiring rehabilitation needs.

Main duties of the job
The role will involve:
- To help deliver hyperacute stroke care to patients. To include the assessment of a stroke patient, assistance in the delivery of thrombolysis, water swallow assessments and the coordination of transfers for mechanical thrombectomy.
- To help manage the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) bay, taking a lead in the nursing care of a hyperacute stroke patient.
- To support the ward leader in the co-ordination and management of the stroke ward and deputise in their absence.
- To help meet the standards of hyperacute and acute stroke care in the SSNAP domains. To support the SSNAP data administrator in the timely completion of missing information.

The post holder works a shift pattern between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday, ensuring consistent service coverage across both sites.Main duties of the job
The role will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Clinical Team.
You will support the CAT in the delivery of a patient-focused service, and be responsible for the processing of general admin duties, answering the telephones to patients, other healthcare providers and internal staff, scheduling of appointments, processing of clinic letters and other administrative duties.
This post benefits from previous experience of delivering high levels of customer/patient service, working within an administrative environment, preferable experience within the NHS but this is not essential, using multiple computer systems and managing data (electronic and paper based).
Knowledge of the 18 week pathway would also be beneficial.

Main duties of the job
The role of the Incident Management and Business Support is to assist the Head of Patient Safety Incident Management in the effective and timely notification, management, investigation and response for incidents.
The post holder will assist in ensuring that effective systems and processes for incident reporting and management are developed, maintained and monitored and that accurate information is available for performance reporting.
The post holder will monitor Patient Safety Incident Management Team Datix incident forms to identify any incidents that would meet with patient safety incident response criteria. Including liaison with Operational staff as required.

As an integral and highly valued member of the Inpatient Care Team working within Basildon Mental Health Unit, the Peer Support Worker will provide formal and professional peer support and practical assistance to service users in order for them to regain control over their lives and their unique recovery journey in a progressive way during their time on the ward.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and analytical individual to join the Data Quality & Income Recovery Team as a Data Quality & Income Recovery Assistant Manager for a career break cover.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting the Trust's data quality assurance and income optimisation agenda. Working closely with the Data Quality & Income Recovery leadership team, you will help drive improvements in data accuracy, completeness, and reporting integrity, ensuring the Trust receives appropriate reimbursement for the services it provides. Particular emphasis will be placed on improving outpatient procedure recording and elective admission data quality within the organisation, supporting both operational performance and income recovery.
You will provide specialist expertise in identifying data quality issues, emerging trends, and areas of financial risk. Through detailed analysis and investigation, you will work with services across the Trust to implement sustainable solutions that improve data capture at source, reduce errors, and strengthen compliance with NHS data standards, national reporting requirements, and contractual obligations.
