Job summary
We are looking for a Locum Physiotherapist (Band 6) to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at Hereford Medical Centre, in Hereford , Herefordshire.
This is a locum role (37.5 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.
Pay rate:
PAYE £27.05 (£24.14 + £2.91 holiday pay) per hour
Umbrella - £31.11 per hour
Main duties of the job
- To provide independent highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment, treatment and efficient and effective management of an MSK caseload under supervision (Band 7 Clinical Specialist or Medical Officer (MO)).
- To manage patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical conditions and sports injuries.
- To work closely with other members of the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) to ensure the highest standards of care.
- To use clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
- To formulate, develop and deliver a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning
- To communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, good understanding of their conditions and maximise their rehabilitation potential accepting that patients may have barriers to communication e.g. English as their second language.

- Must be HCPC Registered.
- Must be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP).
- Must have a Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Must have experience working at post-graduate diploma level in the assessment and treatment of muscular-skeletal disorders, sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions, mobilisation and manipulation.
- Must have a minimum of two years post graduate clinical experience in MSK disorders. This shall be evidenced within the CV.

Job summary
These posts provide outstanding research and career development opportunities for registered dietitians with an interest in mental health to be part of the delivery of the Wellcome-funded ENERGISE-BD clinical trial.
The ENERGISE-BD trial (Evaluating Nutritional Ketosis versus NHS EatWell Recommended Guidelines for Bipolar Disorder) is a randomised controlled trial for bipolar depression. It will compare the efficacy of nutritional ketosis approach with the NHS EatWell dietary guidelines.
Main duties of the job
Contribute as a key member of a team of researchers, alongside a Senior Dietitian (Jude Munn), recruiting patients and guiding these patients on the two dietary interventions being tested in this study and other clinical research (70% of time)
Collecting data on participants in the study, specifically relating to progress with delivering both of the nutritional interventions (10%)
Providing day-to-day supervision and support to other members of the ENERGISE-BD team, including a postdoctoral researcher and a clinical research fellow (5% of time).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to document recruitment progress and present progress reporting data at management group meetings (5%).
Contribute to the presentation of research findings at national and international level conferences (if appropriate) (5% of time)
Maintain clinical skills by participation in continuing professional development (for example on the flexible delivery of nutritional ketosis approaches), as agreed with line manager (5% of time).

Job summary
The successful candidate will work as a Band 6 SLT across the adult acute wards and stroke ward at Newham University Hospital - including the acute admissions unit, intensive care unit, respiratory unit, gastroenterology service and older peoples services.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a Band 6 SLT to consolidate their knowledge and skills in managing patients with swallowing and communication impairments across the acute and stroke pathways, within a friendly and supportive team. They will provide specialist assessment and treatment to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties in the inpatient setting, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team (MDT). There will be exposure to, and opportunities to develop competency in, videofluoroscopy and tracheostomy management, as well as quality improvement initiatives.
The post holder should be an established, qualified SLT who is independent in the assessment and management of patients with dysphagia and communication impairment. There will be opportunities to develop and support junior SLT colleagues and/or students. Regular supervision will be provided, including access to joint assessments, formal 1:1 meetings and peer support sessions. There are excellent continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities within the SLT service and as part of the wider MDT.
Main duties of the job
- To independently manage a caseload of adults with swallowing and communication disorders on inpatient acute wards at Newham University Hospital
- To use specialist knowledge to independently assess, differentially diagnose and treat patients across the pathways, seeking support of more senior colleagues where required.
- To be actively involved in service development and to contribute to the ongoing development of specialist clinical pathways
- To deliver training/teaching to SLT colleagues, the wider multi-disciplinary team and students across Barts Health NHS Trust
- To participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through internal training in specialist areas, such as Videofluoroscopy and Tracheostomy, as well as external courses/ Clinical Excellence Networks (as applicable).
- To work closely with all members of the inpatient and community multi-disciplinary team to optimise patient experience

Main duties of the job

You will assist with therapeutic groups, complete outcome measures including the DERBY Outcome Measure and Elderly Mobility Scale, record basic observations and maintain accurate patient records. The role also involves assessing, providing and reviewing equipment, supporting patients to use equipment safely, and undertaking access and discharge home visits to identify adaptations that promote safety and independence.
You will contribute to discharge planning, complete referrals to community services with support, communicate effectively with patients, families and members of the multidisciplinary team, and participate in team meetings. The successful candidate will also support the development of rehabilitation and healthcare support staff through training, guidance and leadership.

The role of the Community Paediatric Audiology Department is to provide the school entry hearing screen for all eligible children and to provide a comprehensive hearing assessment service to any child from 0-19 years about whom there may be concerns regarding hearing.
The post holder (s) takes responsibility for the testing of hearing capabilities of children in schools, mainly in Carlisle/Penrith/Eden and surrounding areas. Domestic Assistant (WCH) - 19.68 hours per week - working on rota 5 days on, 3 days off. Shifts are 4:30pm - 9pm.

Main duties of the job
Vacuum/sweep, mop floors
Floor buffing
Shampoo carpets with extraction machines
Low/high damp dusting
Clean inside windows, frames and sills
Clean furniture and fittings, mirrors etc, to include moving of furniture and equipment as required to enable efficient cleaning
Assist in induction of new staff
Routine cleaning and basic maintenance of cleaning equipment
Attend all Mandatory training sessions
Order weekly stores and put away on delivery

Are you a speech and language therapist looking for a Band 6 role working with children in our supportive and progressive NHS team? We are expanding our team of Band 6 therapists to enable us to enhance our delivery of the SEND White Paper's new Experts at Hand model, in early years settings and in schools. We have a number of new roles, based in the West and East of the county.

Main duties of the job
What are the potential opportunities within this role?
Working in our early years and school age team supporting the delivery of our Experts at Hand link therapist service, including the development of a link therapist service for all early years settings
Developing clinical knowledge and skills in a range of areas, including working at a universal, targeted and specialist level in schools and settings
Working alongside and learning from highly experienced therapists - we are a mature Balanced System service, with 15 years of place-based working and ease of access for children and their families
Delivering training - both formal such as Language for Learning and ELSEC training and informal on the job training in schools and settings
Supporting less experienced therapists and developing skills in mentorship

Job summary
We are developing an Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS) within Great Yarmouth & Waveney, bringing together community stroke pathways into a more coordinated, responsive and patient-centred model of care. As part of the wider left shift ambition, this service will support earlier discharge from hospital and improve outcomes through timely, multidisciplinary rehabilitation in the community. Our Year 1 focus is on building a more responsive and integrated local service, increased MDT capacity and improved continuity of care across the stroke pathway.You will be joining a service at a key point of development, with the opportunity to shape how care is delivered and contribute to a more integrated, forward-thinking model of community stroke rehabilitation.
A seven day service will be developed in the future.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside the other MDT members including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and assistant practitioners your duties will include:
To promote recovery and well-being, supporting families and empowering patients to self-manage and maximise their independence using health coaching techniques and meaningful activity.
To be responsible for delivering Speech and Language Therapy assessments in communication and dysphagia and provide therapy, education and advice to stroke patients, some of which may have complex and/or chronic presentation.
To collaborate with Speech and Language Therapy colleagues and other services to support the stroke pathway.
To assist with teaching and supervision of other team members and students.
To assist evaluation of the Integrated Community Stroke Service and to be actively involved with service development within the speciality and to implement changes in stroke services delivery as required.
To work as part of an integrated Stroke MDT, following evidence based practice. This will include a combination of face-to-face and telerehab sessions, devising therapy programmes carried out by yourself or an assistant practitioner, writing self management plans for patients and signposting to community-based communication and support groups (such as those provided by voluntary organisations).
This role requires you to be competent to a minimum of proficient level on the RCSLT eating, drinking and swallowing competency framework.

The CCPNR is a specialist community service for children with non-progressive acquired brain injuries in the East of England. It is a dynamic, innovative service provided by CPFT that has an international reputation for delivery of integrated, multidisciplinary neuro-rehabilitation for children.
CCPNR is also embedded within the Psychological Medicine for Children and Families service at Addenbrookes and is part of the children's directorate within CPFT
The post holder will provide leadership and specialist psychological supervision for community rehabilitation at the Cambridge Centre for Paediatric Neuropsychological Rehabilitation (CCPNR). We would consider a job share.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide highly specialist neuropsychological assessment, formulation and intervention for children and young people, including the selection and interpretation of complex psychometric assessments. They will develop and deliver evidence-based neurorehabilitation plans within a multidisciplinary team, offering expert consultation, advice and training to colleagues, families, schools and wider agencies.
They will take clinical responsibility for risk assessment, treatment planning, care coordination and progress monitoring, communicating complex information sensitively to patients and professionals. The role includes contributing to service development, leading research, audit and evaluation projects, and providing supervision to trainees and psychologists within the team.
The post-holder will maintain high standards of clinical record-keeping, use specialist IT and statistical tools, and support quality, safety and governance processes including safeguarding, incident reporting and adherence to NICE and Trust guidelines. We have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to work at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NSECH). The successful applicant will be rostered to work, Monday to Friday (3.75 hours per day), working into the Emergency Department and acute wards at NSECH.

There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.
Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the shifts at Cefn Carnau secured that you want.
Whether your nursing experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.
What you will be doing
You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with Learning Diabilities. Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5 hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.
Where you will be working
Location: Cefn Carnau Lane, Caerphilly, South Wales, CF83 1LX
You will be working at Cefn Carnau; a low secure/rehabilitation service for adults with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability who may also present with mental illness, personality disorders and an autistic spectrum condition.
The programmes provided at the service, include a sex offender treatment programme, anger management, trauma therapy, art psychotherapy together with bespoke psychological sessions aimed at people with learning disabilities.
