Job summary
We have a exciting role for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our friendly Physiotherapy team. You will play a key role in facilitating patients to reach their goals and discharge from Wexham Park Hospital, with a key support role in the inpatients team.
We are looking for candidates with good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly. Good written, computer, organisational and time management skills are essential. The successful candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Please include in your supporting information section of your application your understanding of a Band 3 role within the NHS and also include any experience you feel relevant to this role. Registered Physiotherapists need not apply.
Main duties of the job
Following appropriate training and completion of competencies, you will play a key role in the rehabilitation intervention for medical patients. Working under the guidance of qualified physiotherapists, you will:
- Assist patients in restoring mobility and functional independence
- Carry out selected mobility and balance assessments
- Progress patients' mobility and exercise programmes
- Independently manage and discharge appropriate patients
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) handovers
- Identify patients for your caseload and escalate those needing physiotherapist review
You will receive regular supervision and ongoing support to ensure you feel confident and competent in your role.
Additional Responsibilities:This role also includes non-patient-facing tasks, such as:
- Monitoring and ordering clinical supplies.
- Cleaning and safety checks of physiotherapy equipment
- Supporting the organisation of cleaning rotas
- Contributing to the monthly physiotherapy assistant team meetings
- Getting involved in the care certificate process

- To be responsible for the safe use of equipment used in carrying out physiotherapy duties adhering to the departments medical devices policy.

- After a period of time in post, to be delegated a caseload to treat on a daily basis. This may include responding to urgent referrals and occasionally unpredictable work patterns, liaising with the Senior Physiotherapist.
- With some assistance to be able to manage potentially upsetting or emotional situations in an empathetic manner including but not limited to elderly, confused patients and neurological events.
- To work well within the medical team and MDT to provide an efficient and effective service
- To ensure that all equipment defects, accidents and complaints are reported to your line manager and the Physiotherapy Manager immediately to ensure that appropriate action may be taken.

- After instruction, to be able to locate / enter patient notes on EPIC electronic notes system

You will join our Parkside Wexham team, supporting our clinical colleagues, patients and relatives offering a high level of customer service. This role is integral to the service we offer, where you will be the first point of contact to all those that present to our ward.

We are seeking experienced healthcare support workers as part of our urgent care team. We are seeking enthusiastic a flexible, highly motivated and experienced radiographer to join our friendly and dynamic cross-sectional team in the beautiful county of Shropshire.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and pro-active radiographers who are looking to expand their knowledge & develop new skills in CT and MRI. The successful applicants must have a BSc (Hon) Diagnostic Radiography or DCR, and current HCPC registration. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience /skills in either CT or MRI. Full training will be given in both modalities.
Your base hospital will be the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Work pattern will be 12 hour shifts over a seven day week, giving an excellent work/life balance. The department has 3 MRI scanners (a mixture of Siemens Aera and Sola scanners) and 3 CT scanners (a mixture of Siemens Definition and Edge scanners). We carry out a wide range of scanning including CT/MRI cardiac, enterography, CT colonography, CT intervention and MR breast. You would be expected to rotate through all scanners in the department and our modern, purpose-built imaging hub incorporating new CT and MRI scanners. The department is fully committed to role extension and has practicing Radiographers undertaking Ultrasound, Barium Swallows, CT Colonoscopies and plain film reporting.
Main duties of the job
We are a training site for students from both Birmingham and Keele and have apprentices from Cumbria and Exeter, so you will be expected to be involved in their training and supervision, be enthusiastic about teaching and contribute to a culture of learning.
- To carry out clinical and administrative work as a Senior member of the Radiology team
- Carry out quality CT/ MRI imaging in line departmental protocols

We are seeking to expand our busy cross-sectional team in order to cover a new 24 hour MRI service to go with the already established CT shift system. Following an appropriate induction period, participation in the 24 hour shift system will be expected
The successful applicants will be an integral part of the Cross Sectional team and will be based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital site. This role also includes participation in the CT and MRI over night services. There may be the opportunities to work and train at other sites across SATH including the Princess Royal Hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre located with Hollinswood House, Stafford Park, Telford.
All Radiographers with more than 1 year post graduate experience contribute to the training and mentorship of undergraduate students and the department has an excellent on site teaching environment. The department is fully committed to role extension.

Bristol 3D Medical Centre is looking for a full-time facility technician for the expanding Prosthetics and 3D services. Main duties of the job

Job summary
This is a 24month developmental apprenticeship role with the University of Lincoln due to commence in February 2027.The Student Nurse Associate Apprentice (SNAA) will work towards progression into the post of a Registered Nurse Associate through successful completion of the Student Nurse Associate Apprenticeshipprogramme. The apprentice will develop and maintain knowledge, skills and competencies related to the role of Nurse Associate within Lincolnshire Community & Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG) and through completion of the level 5 foundation degree apprenticeship with a Higher Education Institute (HEI) which includes working in a variety of clinical placements and delivery of person-centred care under the supervision of a registered practitioner.

Main duties of the job
To receive delegated duties from the supervising RN and senior colleagues, accepting those that fall within their individual competency level, adhering to the NMC Delegation and Accountability tool (NMC Code 2018) and to perform procedures as detailed within the NMC Standards for Proficiency for Nurse Associate (2018) (Annexe B) to meet the nursing needs of the patients in their care and work within Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be providing a medicines management service to patients within the prison with the professional support of a prison service pharmacist. - Carry out Ward Audits, monitoring of quality standards, develop action plan and track progress as required.Responsible for utilising the Trusts iProcurement solution to raise requisitions, receipt deliveries and resolve notifications in line with the Trusts procurement policy. Responsible for the receipt and quality check of linen received on the ward. Communicate with the linen services as the need arises to resolve any problems with the ward linen supply. Order consumables and other supplies and liaise with the logistics team, ensuring that all supplies are correctly stored and used in rotation, and that storage systems are maintained in a clean condition. Liaise with supplies and materials handling staff as appropriate to ensure that the process is as efficient as possible, resolving any problems that may arise. Responsible for maintain departmental store cupboards in line with Trust guidance in a tidy, clean and concise manner. Responsible for monitoring, managing and maintaining stock replenishment. Ensure the ward is tidy and clutter free throughout, and that doors to non -patient areas remain closed at all times.Participate in the use of environmental checklists and cleaning audits in line with Trust policy. Monitor the general environment and organize and co-ordinate any repairs and follow up outstanding work as necessary. Liaise with maintenance staff to ensure that equipment is in working order.In line with the Trusts Incident Reporting system. Report any accidents, incidents, near misses and defects to the nurse in charge. Order and receive stock including pharmacy where appropriate and maintaining appropriate levels.
