Job summary
A vacancy has arisen for a Nursing Associate to join a community nursing team in Crawley and surrounding villages.
The Nursing Associate will provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of patients and will be proficient and competent to work at their registered level. They will work alongside Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals. The post holder will have completed their Nursing Associate training and be registered with the NMC.
The Nursing Associate works in partnership with the primary health care team, social services, private and voluntary sector, addressing health promotion priorities both locally and nationally.

Main duties of the job
- The Nursing Associate will deliver care within their proven competency as achieved during their Nursing Associate Training.
- They will be supported by the Registered Nursing Team and supervised by their appointed registered nurse band 5 or above.
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and monitoring of patient care as part of the Community Nursing Team.
- This role will include supervision and teaching of trainee or newly qualified Nursing Associates and Health Care Assistants.
- Maintain at all times a kind, caring and professional attitude towards patients, relatives and colleagues within the clinical setting, taking into consideration dignity, privacy, and confidentiality, alongside cultural and religious needs.
- Recognise changes in a patient's condition and seek assistance from a Registered Nurse or GP as appropriate.
- Provide health and care information to the patient, carers and family as appropriate.
- Maintain clear concise and legible documentation adhering to standards in accordance with NMC and Trust policies.
- Adhere to the Medicines Management Policy in the storing, administering, recording & disposal of Medicines.

Main duties of the job

The National Inpatient Centre for Psychological Medicine (NICPM) is looking for a qualified mental health nurse to join our multi disciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge required to support people with a wide range of physical and psychological symptoms/illnesses.
At NICPM we are a dedicated team that supports the rehabilitation of patients with a variety of complex health conditions ranging from ME/CFS, Functional Neurological Disorder, Persistent Physical Symptoms, as well as other complex conditions.
We provide rehabilitation care using a biopsychosocial model which incorporates a variety of clinical knowledge from a range of health professions. Staff members have the opportunity to build therapeutic relationships, demonstrate effective psychological interventions and promote both psychological and physical rehabilitation.
Main duties of the job
Key working - Coordinating the care for people with severe and complex presentations. Writing and implementing care plans to meet the wide-ranging needs of our patients. Supporting colleagues to maintain high standards of care.
Assessments - Not just assessing risk but providing more detailed and ongoing assessments of a person's biopsychosocial wellbeing and needs. In time, we will also ask you carry out pre-admission assessments on those patients on our waiting list.
Shift coordinating - Managing the day to day running of our ward environment. Supporting staff on shift and providing clinically informed handovers. Having an overall awareness of what is occurring on the ward and dealing with situations as they arise.
Administering medication alongside other treatments - Medications are just one part of the treatment we provide for patients here at NICPM. We would like you to be responsible for delivering a range of therapeutic interventions to our patients as directed by the MDT.
Working with families and carers - Help build and maintain relationships with the wider care network for our patients. Helping families to understand the journey a person has gone through in order to support their ongoing rehabilitation goals post discharge.
MDT working - You will be working alongside colleagues from various professional backgrounds. We expect you to show and understanding and appreciation of each professional groups' role in the delivery of care here at NICPM.

In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.
QE Facilities work to their own Terms and Conditions and these are not the same as Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust Terms and Conditions. This is not an Agenda for Change Pay Rate.

Job summary
A CCT Glaucoma Fellow is required, based at Kings College Hospital's Queen Mary's site, Denmark Hill site. The post would suit experienced trainees wishing to consolidate their glaucoma experience and gain further exposure in managing complex glaucoma and undertaking advanced surgical techniques, including Baerveldt and Paul aqueous shunts, glaucoma revision surgery, trabeculectomy, Preserflo Microshunt, and less invasive glaucoma surgery such as iStent implants, Omni canaloplasty/trabeculotomy, excimer laser trabeculostomy, cyclophotocoagulation, and other glaucoma laser procedures. One-to-one consultant surgical training and supervision will be provided, with two dedicated weekly glaucoma theatre sessions.
The appointee must be able to competently undertake cataract surgery independently, as they will be expected to perform cataract surgery in challenging cases and supervise junior trainees.
The tenure of the post is 1 year. Applicants must have MRCOphth or an equivalent qualification. It is expected that the appointee will undertake clinical audits and contribute to clinical research during their training. The appointee will also participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota for the Denmark Hill site and will have a weekly session in the King's Rapid Access Unit (RAU) at Queen Mary's Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Regular clinical duties, based at Queen Mary's Hospital, include the management of out-patients and in-patients, including ward referrals.
The post-holders will be expected to contribute to and participate in the Department's ongoing clinical audit programme and to carry out all necessary administrative duties associated with the care of their patients. The post-holders will also have a general duty of care for the health, safety and well-being of colleagues, visitors, and patients within the hospital, in addition to any specific risk management or clinical governance responsibilities associated with these posts.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Navigators to join our busy, but supportive team at our Accrington sites 30 hours per week.
Main duties to include dealing with incoming telephone calls confidently and signpost patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
To be able to process appointment requests from patients by telephone or by the relevant NHS approved communication tool, following the Care Navigation protocol.
Will need to deal with general enquires, liaising with clinicians and other members of staff.
Involve some administrative duties as required.
Experience within General Practice and the ability to use EMIS Web software would be desirable.
Must demonstrate excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
We are looking to recruit an efficient, and enthusiastic person at least 30 hours per week on a rota basis.
The hours of work will be over 5 days and between 08:00am and 6:30pm per day on a rota which may change at short notice to cover sickness and annual leave. You may be required to cover extended hours from 6.30 pm until 8.30pm one evening per week on a rota basis.
Main duties of the job
The suitable team-worker will need excellent customer service/communication skills and also be flexible for any sickness/holiday cover in a very busy, computerised surgery which is open 8am 6.30pm plus extended hours until 8.30pm.
Previous experience desirable, though not essential as training will be provided.
Clerical and keyboard skills are essential.

Job summary
The Consultant Geriatrician will provide expert medical care for older people in the acute hospital and across community-linked services. The role focuses on caring for frail older adults who have complex medical problems, reduced mobility, memory difficulties and social care needs.
The post holder could work across a range of services including the Frailty Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit, virtual ward, acute geriatric inpatient wards, orthogeriatric services (care of older patients with fractures), perioperative frailty services, falls services, and community geriatrics. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time band 6 rotational post across stroke and neurology. The post will rotate over the Acute Stroke Unit (Derriford Hospital), Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (Mount Gould Hospital),Neurosurgery/ICU (Derriford Hospital),Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team (Livewell South West) and Plym Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (Livewell South West). The post holder will require experience in the speciality of Stroke &Neurology. We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and motivated individual who will rotate across the acute and community services.
The applicant will require excellent communication, time management skills and a flexible approach. You must have good inter-personal skills, work well in a multidisciplinary team environment, and be willing to support the Team Lead to deliver a specialist occupational therapy service.
As a therapy service we are committed to providing regular clinical and non-clinical support andsupervision; conduct yearly appraisal; allocate time for Continued Professional Development (CPD) and involve all grades of staff in the In-Service Training programmes.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder is responsible for the provision of a quality OT service, under the direction of the Team Leader, ensuring high standards of clinical practice are provided.
Carrying out clinical duties including the occupational therapy assessment, treatment and management of stroke and neurological patients, as part of the MDT in inpatient settings and in the community.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
This role supports the financial management of Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Services within the Integrated Care Board. This includes stocks of hand towels, toilet rolls and soap etc. Carry out daily routine and in depth vocational cleaning of patient barrier rooms including patients with MRSA, C Diff, Chicken pox and Gastroenteritis; using Hydrogen Peroxide misting machines / Ultraviolet light decontamination system as directed by Infection Control. Responsibility for the security of cleaning consumables and materials, including controlled chemicals. Follow COSHH (control of substances hazardous to health) guidance and obtain the required knowledge in safe use of cleaning chemicals. Where required to carry out a patient meal service at ward level; Housekeeping Assistants will reheat patient meals, completing all required HACCP control documents. This includes plating and serving of patient meals in accordance with local work instructions, collection and washing of dishes following each meal service, cleaning of the ward kitchen area in accordance with the cleaning schedules, prepare beverages and snack items of patients. All duties will be carried out with due regard to associated processes specified by the Trust's Catering Department.

As a Registered Nurse within Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, you will work as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs and to plan, implement, and evaluate individual programmes of care.
Ainslie Ward is a 26-bedded trauma unit providing care for patients with a wide range of injuries, many of whom require surgical intervention. You will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals, demonstrating autonomy, professionalism, and effective clinical decision-making within the ward environment.

Main duties of the job
- Providing, managing and coordinating your allocated patients care needs
- Liaising and communicating with your patients NOK, family, Carer
