The cardiology department at the University Hospitals of the North Midlands provides diagnostic testing for inpatients and outpatients at both Royal stoke Hospital and County Hospital. These include exercise tolerance testing, head up tilt table testing, echocardiography, pacemaker implant and follow-up, heamodynamic monitoring during invasive coronary angiography, electrophysiological testing and electrocardiography (ECG). Resting electrocardiography and ambulatory ECG monitoring is an essential part of the wider service, the primary focus of this role is to support ECG services and arrhythmia monitoring services at both at the trust and in the community.
Main duties of the job
In addition to ECG, this role involves assisting senior healthcare scientists in the provision of specialist clinics. The successful applicant will join an established team of 15 healthcare science assistants. The cardiology Department has an established training & development programme to provide the practical skills required for providing a range of specialist invasive & non-invasive cardiac investigations.
The main duties for this role will include recording ECG's, assisting in exercise tolerance & tilt testing, arrhythmia monitoring and the provision of community based ECG clinics in Stoke on Trent. Analysis and interpretation of clinical data & providing technical reports will be required.
Services are provided at various community settings across Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire as well as at both Royal Stoke, County Hospital and the new Community Diagnostic Centre. Candidates will need to be able to travel to each of these settings.

To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be required to work within a patient environment and previous experience would be an asset. The main duties of the post include the picking and packing of patient meals to enable Patient feeding at ward level within Prince Charles Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with all cleanliness and legislative requirements that govern the delivery of the Catering Service such as Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene (Wales) Legislation 2006, Food Handling policies and procedures, COSHH and HACCP procedures.
Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernisation. Also the successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites. The successful candidates must observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.

Job summary
Mortuary Services at the Whittington hospital incorporates a busy hospital mortuary as well as a public mortuary for the London Borough of Islington. The mortuary is fully licensed by the Human Tissue Authority, the UK regulatory body that oversees the use, storage and disposal of human tissue. An autopsy service of the highest standard is provided both for the hospital and H.M Coroner, Inner North London District.
The mortuary also offers a CT scan autopsy service to the police and wider community.
An opportunity has arisen within this mortuary for a newly qualified Anatomical Pathology Technician to join our team. The individual must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology or equivalent. They must be motivated, enthusiastic and flexible and able to work in a challenging and sensitive environment with a calm and professional attitude. Frequent exposure to emotional and distressing situations is required to carry out this role.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will also contribute to supporting the hospital Medical Examiner (ME) system. This involves the administration of documentation pertaining to patients that die within the hospital and local community.
The candidate will carry out the technical work of the department with particular reference to the management of the autopsy suite and body handling area as required by the mortuary manager and senior APT. They will assist the mortuary manager and Senior APT in the monitoring and control of work and supervision and training of junior staff.
The candidate will display good organisational skills, whilst carrying out varied and complex tasks.
The candidate will also be required to assist with the arrangement of 'Public Health' funerals' on behalf of London Borough of Islington.
Close liaison with a variety of other professions including Coroner's officers, police, doctors, nursing staff and funeral directors is therefore an essential function, as is communication with bereaved family and friends.
The candidate will be required to participate in the 'Out of Hours' on call system.
The Whittington mortuary is open 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday but these times will be flexible dependent on the autopsy schedule which often begins before 6am.

Main duties of the job
The Paediatric nursing team forms part of the Integrated Children's services at North Middlesex University Hospital and is part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
- The postholder will work under the direction of the Ward Manager - Children's Outpatients with responsibility for the assessment of care needs for all patients, ensuring appropriately planned care is both implemented and evaluated.
- The postholder is expected to work with minimal supervision and will be designated to work as part of the nursing team at North Middlesex University Hospital Trust.
- The postholder will provide care within the Ocean Day Unit without supervision to facilitate the prevention of admission or reduction in hospitalisation, and will act as an effective clinical support for students.
- The postholder will work as part of the Ocean Day Unit Nursing Team with support from the cohort of Band 5/6 Staff Nurses and Band 7 Ward Manager.
- The postholder is expected to contribute to the assessment, planning, and implementation of evidence-based care to children and their families and carers, and work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless service for the children.

We are seeking an experienced and autonomous Urgent Care Practitioner to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced clinician from an ambulance, urgent care, emergency, community or primary care background who is confident in assessing and managing undifferentiated and acute presentations within their professional scope.
A key aspect of the role is providing same-day care through home visits, practice-based assessments and remote consultations. Senior Clinical Fellow in Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy/Reconstruction Surgery
The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications from highly motivated and suitably qualified individuals to the role of Senior Clinical Fellow in Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy/Reconstruction Surgery.
Applicants should have grounding in shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery and have obtained the FRCS or equivalent. The post aims to provide specialist training for individuals who have either completed a UK training program and possess a CCT or equivalent training program.The fellowship will provide exceptional training in current techniques in shoulder and knee reconstruction. The arthroscopy unit consists of 7 arthroscopy surgeons (1 shoulder, 2 knee and 4 shoulder/knee) allowing the fellowship to be tailored to individual needs. The Fellow will gain experience in all aspects of arthroscopic shoulder surgery as well as complex shoulder Arthroplasty. A full spectrum of soft tissue knee reconstruction is undertaken within the unit, including multi ligament reconstruction, cartilage regenerative procedures, corrective osteotomy and patella-femoral realignment/ stabilization. Unicompartment, Patellofemoral, Primary and Revision Knee replacement surgery will also be undertaken.

The successful candidates, dependent on experience will have the opportunity to undertake independent supervised operating lists and attend outpatient clinics. There will be opportunity to undertake research and audit. Involvement in an ongoing or new research project is to be a major part of this post. The post runs in parallel with another Senior Fellow. Ward based cover is provided by junior doctors and an ANP. The department is also supported by a Consultant Physiotherapist, an ESP a Physician Associate and a part-time Theatre Assistant.

This is a whole time radiology post based at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. This post is aimed primarily at post CCT radiologists looking to improve their knowledge and skills in Musculoskeletal Imaging prior to application for a substantive consultant post

Main duties of the job
The fellow will participate in an intensive training program in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging which includes plain film radiographs, MRI, MR arthrography, CT, ultrasound and image guided percutaneous biopsy. There will also be an opportunity to gain experience in image guided spinal intervention including cementoplasties and assist with radiofrequency and cryoablation cases.

An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Day Case Unit to recruit a highly motivated Band 5 staff nurse to join our small dedicated team in order to provide a safe and efficient service to surgical patients
This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-quality, patient-focused surgical service, supporting a range of specialties including podiatric surgery, Gynaecology, urology and trauma and orthopaedics'.
As a day surgery nurse, you will play a key role in the patients day surgery experience delivering safe and effective perioperative care and recovery through to discharge. Ensuring the smooth running of theatre lists and patient flow. Maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety, assist during surgical procedures, and contribute to efficient theatre operations.
Main duties of the job
Candidates need to be flexible, enthusiastic and reliable- working independently and as part of a team.
The unit is predominantly nurse led with input from other members of the multi- disciplinary team in order to provide a high standard of care to patients both pre- operatively and post operatively. You will be involved in the admission process as well as the discharge planning of a small group of patients each shift and be expected to access, plan, implement and evaluate their care needs.
Provide skills in checking setting up and first line maintenance of peri-operative equipment within own competence
