Job summary
The Non-ionising Radiation Physics Section is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Scientist to join our friendly and expanding team. The Medical Physics Department is based at Poole Hospital, providing services throughout Dorset. The department currently comprises of two sections, ionising & non-ionising.
The successful applicant will support the delivery of our NIR equipment quality assurance and optimisation programme, with their focus on optical radiations with the aim of assisting our supported sites in meeting their statutory and professional best practice obligations.
The role will involve acting as Laser Protection Advisor, NIR equipment procurement, commissioning and provision of QC, dosimetry, optimisation & radiation safety. NIR modalities currently include; ultrasound imaging, lasers, UV & blue light phototherapy and other appropriate EMF areas. The role will involve training / teaching other staff and there will be opportunities to develop services. MRI is covered by another post, but collaboration will be welcomed.
Poole & Bournemouth are situated on the south coast, with the beautiful Dorset coastline and countryside on its doorstep. Relocation expenses may be available. Assistance with relocation costs may be available.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will have advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of a wide range of NIR modalities, with sufficient knowledge, skills and experience to act as a laser protection adviser (LPA).
The post holder will provide specialist scientific support and advice to medical, clinical, scientific and technical staff on highly complex issues, primarily in the artificial optical radiation field, but also covering ultrasound.
Interpretation of relevant national and international guidance related to room design, performance testing and safety information.
Engage in optimisation of clinical protocols and in the development of translational techniques and procedures in conjunction with clinical colleagues.
The post holder will be expected to undertake specific research and development activities as required to improve the quality of service to patients, and keep abreast of new developments in their field
To provide training and teaching in NIR Physics for Medical Physics STP trainees, other trainees, other professional groups and students at Bournemouth University.
Support the MRI Physics Lead in the provision of services and training of junior team members.

Postholder must be available to start in post no later than 23rd October 2026.
This is a full time locum consultant appointment to cover unexpected absence in the department. The successful applicant would be part of a team of 6 Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeons for a duration for 3 months.
This postholder will be expected to be proficient in Gastro intestinal surgery and neonatal surgery and is expected to cover the range of paediatric surgical cases during emergency rota, including urology and trauma. We are looking for someone with experience in Neonatal and General Paediatric Surgery and who would be able to undertake the clinical activities without any additional support. We expect the candidate to be appropriately certified for the competence by national body and be on specialist register with GMC. A flexibility in undertaking routine activity is a must due to current resource availability and needs of the department.

The NHS East and South East London Pathology Partnership is an arms-length organisation providing pathology services to Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The Pathology Partnership is hosted by Barts Health.
The Pathology Partnership was formed in May 2021. Between 2021 and 2024 the Partnership undertook a complex transformation programme to establish a single network of laboratories, underpinned by a single Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and single Quality Management System (QMS).

Job summary
This is a 12 month post based at University College Hospital, providing an unique training and experience within a tertiary specialist Nutrition centre with a high volume of patients requiring parenteral and enteral nutritional support. Successful candidates will gain exposure to managing complex patients with intestinal failure (i.e short bowel syndrome, complex IBD, radiation enteropathy) working closely with a highly-skilled multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
Our UCLH Gastroenterology unit is one of the largest in the UK, and the post offer exposure to all aspects of Gastroenterology, covered by the 14 Consultants within the department. Subspecialty areas of expertise include clinical nutrition/intestinal failure, oesophagogastric/laser medicine, inflammatory bowel disease, GI physiology and pancreaticobiliary medicine. There are a number of educational meetings run each week, including a journal club, specialist multidisciplinary meetings, a 'morning report', and seminars with invited speakers. The department has a committed audit programme. The post holder may also take an active role in undergraduate teaching.
The post would ideally suit an experienced Trust Doctor Foundation year 2 intending to apply for a Gastroenterology Specialist training rotation. Terms and conditions are in line with those nationally agreed.

Clinical Fellowship - Neurovascular Neurosurgery
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellowship in Neurovascular Neurosurgery. This is a full time post based at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), which is part of University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).
The NHNN is an internationally renowned hospital for clinical practice and world-class clinical research in neurosciences. It is also closely associated with the Institute of Neurology (ION). Together, the NHNN and ION are regarded as the premier neurosciences centre in the UK. The Victor Horsley Department of Neurosurgery provides a comprehensive elective and emergency neurosurgical service for the UCLH Trust, a large area of North Central and West London and its associated hospitals and the local community/GPs. In addition there are large numbers of National and International referrals to specialist Neurosurgical services.
This post offers a unique opportunity as the successful candidate will be an integral part of the Neurovascular surgical team. The post is fixed term for 1 year which is suitable for a post-CCT (or equivalent) neurosurgical trainee who wishes to develop their skills and gain experience of neurovascular neurosurgery in a major centre of excellence.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities of the post include participation in the neurosurgery clinics, perioperative and post-operative management of neurovascular patients and being an integral member of neurovascular multidisciplinary team. There is an expectation that you would have dedicated time for professional supervision and development of trainee/junior doctors within the department, undertake research, publish in peer reviewed journals and present at National &/or International conferences. The post is an ideal stepping-stone for an experienced trainee to gain further experience in neurovascular surgery.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Clinical Physiologist on the Sir Jules Thorn Telemetry Unit at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. As a Clinical Physiologist you will be responsible for providing high quality Video-EEG Telemetry studies for service users within the Epilepsy surgery program and neurological sleep services.
Our telemetry team provide the full range of video EEG services including:o Diagnostic studieso Pre-surgical studies including ictal SPECTo Invasive studies (with depth (SEEG) electrodes)o Polysomnography, MSLT and Actigraphyo At Home polysomnography and diagnostic video EEG telemetry
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and engaging individual with enthusiasm for the field of Clinical Neurophysiology.
Main duties of the job
Your main responsibilities will be to:o Provide a highly complex, specialist Clinical Neurophysiology service.o Undertake interpretation of results and provision of written factual reports, communicating directly with consultant staff regarding any findings.o Present the findings of the video telemetry studies at the weekly multidisciplinary meeting, and contribute to ward rounds and teaching sessions held on the unit on a regular basis.o Provide assistance with and actively participate in research projects carried out on the telemetry unit.o Education and training of techniques to new members of staff and demonstration of the telemetry unit activity to professional visitors.o Participate in quality assurance and audit within the department and on a regional basis.

The Sir Jules Thorn Telemetry Unit is a self-contained dedicated unit for monitoring patients with a variety of neurological, neurosurgical and neuropsychiatric conditions, performing more than 510 video-EEG telemetry studies and over 150 actigraphy studies per year.
Our dedicated Telemetry Unit consists of a tight knit team of 12 highly motivated Clinical Physiologists, over 15 dedicated nursing staff, 5 consultant Neurologists/Neurophysiologists and an epilepsy fellow. Medical cover is provided by registrars and SHOs attached to Firm 1 (Epilepsy). Together with our specialist administrative team and support facilities staff we are driven by our organisations strategic objectives and organisational values of kindness, safety, teamwork and improving.
This vacancy would strongly suit a qualified individual with experience in Clinical Neurophysiology who aligns with these objectives and values.
There are 7 beds with an additional private patient bed on Bloomsbury Ward. The unit operates over a 7day period, and clinical physiologists work by rota covering the hours of 8am to 6:45pm 7days a week.
NHS patients are seen on the Telemetry Unit with patients being referred from all over the country and occasionally overseas. The majority of patients are referred from consultants based either full or part-time at NHNN, however we accept referrals from consultants across the UK for this specialist service.

Job summary
Consultant non-malignant Adolescent Haematologist with an interest in transplant and cellular therapies
We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Haematologist to join the Children and Young People's Cancer Service (CYPCS) and the adult transplant team. This role offers a unique opportunity to specialise in the care of teenagers and young adults with non-malignant blood disorders, including haemoglobinopathies and immunodeficiency.
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), CAR T-cell therapies, and emerging gene-editing treatments for adult patients with sickle cell disease and transfusion-dependent thalassaemia. They will work closely with the existing team of six adolescent haematologists within CYPCS, collaborating across adolescent and adult services to provide high-quality, integrated care.
The role will include clinical responsibilities within both the CYPCS haematology service and the adult bone marrow transplant (BMT) service.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join the CYPCS adolescent haematology team and play a key role in delivering allogeneic transplant and gene-editing therapies across adolescent and adult services.
Working with patients with sickle cell disease, transfusion-dependent thalassaemia and inborn errors of immunity, the post holder will contribute to a dynamic service spanning red cell, adolescent transplant, BMT and diagnostic clinics.

We are seeking a motivated pharmacist with an interest in cancer services to join our Rotational Band 7 Programme. This is a unique opportunity offering structured development and the chance to gain advanced clinical and aseptic experience across oncology, haematology and technical services.
UHB is a tertiary referral Cancer Centre with 5 outpatient day units, 4 inpatient wards, a specialist BMT and CAR-T service, and dedicated outpatient clinics. Pharmacists are fully integrated across ward services, day units, aseptic units, and pharmacist-led clinics.
You will join a large, supportive, multidisciplinary team with strong collaboration at its core. Previous cancer experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Applicants with 12 months' post-registration hospital experience may be appointed under AfC Annex 21 (75% pay), progressing to full Band 7 on completion of a clinical diploma or NHSE/RPS pathway.
Cross-site working across UHB is expected.

Main duties of the job
Work as part of our pharmacy cancer services team to:
Clinically verify haem/onc prescriptions
Provide inpatient clinical pharmacy service to the haem/onc wards when at QE

We are looking for an experienced Neonatal Clinical Practice Educator band 7 to join our Team.
Our NICU is the Level 3 unit for the North Central London area which provides specialist intensive care for critically ill babies. We also have close links with an on-site fetal medicine unit which is a regional, national and international referral centre for fetal medicine, caring for more than 7,000 patients each year. In addition, they have an internationally recognised multidisciplinary team (MDT) who offers individualised care for pregnant women and their families, when there is a concern for the health of an unborn baby. Job summary
Our NICU is the Level 3 unit for the North Central London area which provides specialist intensive care for critically ill babies. We also have close links with an on-site fetal medicine unit which is a regional, national and international referral centre for fetal medicine, caring for more than 7,000 patients each year. In addition, they have an internationally recognised multidisciplinary team (MDT) who offers individualised care for pregnant women and their families, when there is a concern for the health of an unborn baby. We have a busy tertiary level three neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with close links to the other UCLH specialist hospitals and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Currently we care for 21 intensive / high dependency care babies, 11 special care babies and 12 transitional care cots.
As a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse you should hold a neonatal qualification. We offer an excellent opportunity to consolidate your experience in our busy unit. You will be able to enhance your ITU skills and develop and progress to managing the special care and transitional care areas. You should ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification and demonstrate the ability for and commitment to continue your ongoing development.
