Job summary
Clinical Reviewer for Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews in East of England
We are seeking experienced health and care professionals to join our pool of Clinical Reviewers (Independent Clinical Experts) for Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews (C(E)TRs).
Please note: Previous experience of participating in Care and Treatment Reviews (CTRs) and/or Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews (C(E)TRs) is an desirable requirement for this role.
As a Clinical Reviewer, you will work as part of an independent review panel alongside an Expert by Experience and a delegated Chair to review the care, treatment and, where applicable, education arrangements of children, young people and adults with a learning disability and/or autistic people who are at risk of admission to hospital or are currently receiving inpatient care.
The role involves providing an independent clinical perspective, offering a respectful, professional challenge and scrutiny, and supporting robust, person-centred reviews that ensure people receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place. Reviews aim to improve the quality of care and treatment, reduce unnecessary lengths of stay and support timely discharge planning.
Main duties of the job
You will not have employee status.
Care, (Education) and Treatment Review (C(E)TRs) provide the opportunity that the care and treatment are effective and that they are supported to leave hospital as soon as possible. This is through key lines of enquiry (KLOE) and subsequent recommendations.
C(E)TRs are carried out by an independent panel of people. This includes a commissioner who funds the person's care ('Chair' - or a person delegated on behalf of East of England PC), an expert by experience (EbE), who is an autistic person or a person with a learning disability or a family carer with lived experience of services. The panel also includes a clinical expert who is qualified to work in health & care.
The East of England Provider Collaborative (EoEPC) includes six NHS trusts delivering specialised mental health and learning disability, autism inpatient care.
About us
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is a health and social care organisation dedicated to providing high quality care with compassion to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we care for, as well as supporting and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
Our clinical teams deliver a wide range of NHS services across inpatient, primary care and community settings, including children's, adult and older people's mental health, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care and liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, and research and development.
To achieve our goals, we recruit high calibre candidates who share our vision and values. As an equal opportunities' employer, we welcome applications from all sections of the community, particularly under represented groups including people with long term conditions and members of our ethnic minority and LGBTQ+ communities.
All appointments are subject to the successful completion of a probationary period.
Please note we reserve the right to close adverts early should we receive sufficient applications.
Regrettably, we cannot offer sponsorship for all roles. If you apply for a post that does not attract sponsorship, your application will be withdrawn from the process.

About Us
South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust provides highquality nonemergency patient transport across Hampshire and Milton Keynes. Our NEPTS Contact Centre plays a crucial role in coordinating journeys for hundreds of patients per day with varying clinical needs.
You will be joining a supportive team committed to delivering outstanding patientcentred care.
What We Are Looking For:
We welcome applicants who can demonstrate:
- Excellent communication and customerservice skills
- Confidence in handling multiple tasks and making effective decisions under pressure
- Strong IT, mapping and datahandling skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and build positive working relationships
- A commitment to providing a safe and highquality patient transport service
Experience in dispatching, transport coordination or healthcare settings is desirable but full training will be provided.
Working Pattern:
Our NonEmergency Patient Transport Service operates 365 days a year. Dispatchers work between 05:00am and 01:00am, seven days per week, on a rolling 10week rota. The rota includes varying shift lengths between 6 hours and 11.5 hours; however, the pattern is static and repeats every 10 weeks, meaning your shift pattern is predictable and does not change from cycle to cycle. Your working hours will be averaged of 37.5 hours per week.
Training/Start date for the role:
Interviews for this role are scheduled to take place on the 17th and 19th August 2026 between 1pm and 6pm. Training/start date will begin on the 1st October 2026, which will be classroom based for 5 days from 08:00am until 16:00pm at Southern House, Otterbourne Winchester. This will be followed by a crew day and finally a day for eLearning. You will then move into observation shifts in the live environment before formally joining the rolling rota.
Before interview an electronic type test will need to be completed. You will be sent the link for completion via email.
A Standard DBS check will be required for this role.
Safeguarding, Values and Conduct
SCAS is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk. All staff are expected to promote and uphold the Trusts values and operate in line with policies on equality, diversity, confidentiality, infection prevention and health and safety.

About us
NHS England has a wide range of statutory functions, responsibilities and regulatory powers. These are focused on supporting the wider NHS to deliver high quality care, as well as doing those things that are best done once for the whole NHS.
Our staff bring expertise across clinical, operational, commissioning, technology, data science, cyber security, software engineering, education, and commercial specialisms -- enabling us to design and deliver high-quality NHS services.
In March 2025, the Government announced that NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care will increasingly merge functions, ultimately leading to NHS England being fully integrated into the department.
If you currently work within the NHS and if successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).This retrieves key data from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement.
