An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and motivated doctors to join the Obstetrics & Gynaecology team at Barts Health NHS Trust as Clinical Fellows. These posts are initially offered for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. We welcome applications from candidates available to commence as soon as possible.
Based at Newham University Hospital, these posts provide an excellent opportunity for senior trainees and qualified specialists to further develop their clinical expertise within a supportive and dynamic department.
Although these are non-training posts, fellows will gain extensive experience across the full range of obstetric and gynaecological services, including specialist clinics, theatres, and multidisciplinary care pathways. The department has a strong educational ethos, and successful candidates will be encouraged to participate fully in teaching, research, clinical audit, quality improvement projects, and journal clubs.
Main duties of the job
Independently assess, diagnose and manage obstetric and gynaecological patients within agreed competencies.
Provide senior clinical decision-making during elective and emergency clinical activity.
Lead the management of acute obstetric and gynaecological presentations during on-call periods.
Participate in antenatal, postnatal, labour ward, emergency gynaecology, ambulatory gynaecology and inpatient ward care.
Undertake outpatient clinics and theatre sessions.
Perform obstetric and gynaecological procedures appropriate to registrar level.
Independently perform caesarean sections, instrumental deliveries, manual removal of placenta and surgical management of miscarriage.
Ensure timely escalation of complex or high-risk cases to consultant colleagues.
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical documentation.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a HCPC and RCSLT registered Speech and Language Therapist, with developed skills, working with communication impairments and dysphagia after stroke, as well as experience working with a community caseload including people with dementia and acquired neurological conditions. You will be able to demonstrate leadership skills in developing service provision and clinical pathways relating to these specialisms. You will have a commitment to providing a high standard of patient focussed care and be a strong team player, with the ability to lead and influence others.
You will be employed by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS FT as part of their SLT service and as such have access to a team of colleagues with a range of skills and commitment to providing high standards of evidence based approaches, you will be supported by a SLT team leader.
We are a large and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy service of over 100 staff, working across all service areas in Derbyshire.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our dynamic team, covering both of our Beacon Health sites in Kensington and Mossley Hill. This role offers a unique opportunity to rotate across two different practices, providing exceptional patient care. The role involves the clinical supervision of Resident Doctors, including GP trainees and Foundation Year 2 doctors

Mulberry Ward is a 26-bed mixed gender ward providing specialist mental health inpatient assessment and treatment.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a passion for acute mental health care, development of services and systems, and knowledge of supervision and audit processes. The Pharmacy Technician will play an important role in complementing the Pharmacy Team and other members of the practice. The department delivers a comprehensive range of gastroenterology, hepatology, intestinal failure and advanced endoscopy services, supported by a multidisciplinary team of consultants, specialist nurses, dietitians and allied health professionals.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the management of complex inpatient gastroenterology, hepatology and intestinal failure patients, primarily based on Ward A7 at the University Hospital of Wales. The role also includes outpatient clinics, endoscopy activity, multidisciplinary team working and participation in service development, teaching, audit and clinical governance activities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to demonstrate professional excellence and the ability to deliver effective care.They will need to agree levels of activity and throughput with the Clinical Lead and undertake annual appraisal and job planning as per UHB Policy. An opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant Haematologist to join the team Hywel Dda UHB. We are offering a dynamic and rewarding role located in a beautiful part of Wales. We are looking for a highly committed and motivated individual to join our Haematology team who will be able to bring some subspecialisation into the wider team. The health board operates over four sites in west Wales. This post will be covering Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth while also supporting the wider team.
Our team of 7 consultants provide a comprehensive haematology service in the four hospitals in an area of outstanding beauty. This post will provide support for a wide range of patient groups. This hospital is our smallest of the four and the team are spread between the four sites. Support for the post includes Specialty Doctor, Haematology CNS team and Specialist Haematology pharmacists.
Our staff are at the heart of the quality of our service and are looking to add to our numbers. We are looking for someone to bring additional expertise and a passion to provide excellence.
Main duties of the job
Clinical - The appointee should be able to demonstrate experience in the management of all Haematological conditions. The successful candidate will be able to develop a subspecialty across the health board and working alongside the other consultants to contribute to subspecialisation teams.
Inpatients - The appointee will be expected to consult on all inpatients with the local medical team looking after them. Additional teaching on management of haematology patients will be essential. Liaising with the Acute Oncology Service which covers haematology in-patients
Outpatients - The appointee will be expected to participate in 3-4 clinics per week. Consideration for other subspecialist workload could be considered, depending on applicant's experience to date. There an increasing number of patients returning from the tertiary centres following treatments that return home between treatment cycles that need additional input from the local haematology team. BMA's are currently done weekly. Phone clinics are encouraged given the rural area and inability to travel for our patients.
Laboratory - The appointee will be expected to help out with advice and input on blood films and reporting bone marrow reports
There is a weekly health board wide MDT and opportunities to join other MDTs from all Wales MDTs (Lymphoma, Myeloma, Myeloid).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- The post holder will be a registered nurse or Paramedic who has extensive clinical knowledge. You will have experience at working at a band 6 level and have acute and/or community experience. - The post holder will be providing patient care in patients own homes, and able to travel independently across sites. You will be using technology to support and monitor patients.
