Job summary
Part time care navigator required for our busy multi-sited GP surgery. Experience preferred but full training will be given for the right candidate. This is a varied and interesting role supporting the clinical team to deliver high quality care for our patients. Applicants should be enthusiastic, caring and conscientious and be able to work well as part of a team. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and administration skills. Applicants must understand the principles of confidentiality and be keen to represent the surgery in a sensitive, friendly, efficient and competent manner
Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the post holder however, there may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks.
- Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the Practice
- Answering and care navigating high calls in to the practice and making calls to patients
- Being the first point of contact for all general enquiries that come into the practice
- Administration work to support the practice including letters, referrals, scanning
- Ensure work is completed in a timely manner
- Using your own judgement and communication skills to ensure that patients are dealt with in a logical and non-disruptive manner
- Ensure the building is secure when leaving at the end of the day
- Complete all annual Mandatory training as appropriate
- To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
- To work in accordance with written protocols

Nucleus 7&8 Theatres provides General, Urology, Gynaecology, Plastic and Breast surgical procedures, and is the home of our 2 Davinci Xi Robots. Main duties of the job
We are looking for theatre practitioners with scrub and anaesthetic skills
You will need to be a registered nurse or ODP with a minimum of 3 years theatre experience at band 5.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate that they are motivated, able to work on their own initiative, are a team player with the ability to prioritise workload and support the team leader, theatre Coordinator and team to provide a safe and effective service for our patients.
Following our most recent CQC inspection the division of surgery was rated as Good across the 5 key standards so you would be joining a high performing team and would be expected to support the Team Leader to influence and drive improvement within Nucleus 7&8.

We are looking for a creative, innovative and motivated advanced practitioner to support the delivery of Occupational Therapy (OT) within Long term conditions Neurology team, based at St Woolos Hospital.
Extensive clinical experience of rehabilitation and neurology is essential. Work as part of the neurology team and as the wider OT team across ABUHB, to deliver high quality, evidence-based OT intervention with individuals who have a neurological condition.
The post holder will deliver advanced clinical interventions along with the development of a consultancy model, utilising evidence-based practice, taking an active role in undertaking service/clinical evaluations, audit and research.
The post offers opportunity to deliver a wide variety of assessments and interventions with individuals in their own homes, community locations as well as in clinic settings. The post holder should show commitment to continually developing knowledge, skills and experience in condition management, complex moving and handling, adaptations, specialist seating and support the development of team members and students as part of their clinical leadership role.

Main duties of the job
Professional aspects of the Occupational Therapy role include:
Utilise advanced knowledge and skills from a varied clinical background, including in a neurological setting, to assess, treat and manage a varied caseload.

Join our friendly and dedicated Eating Disorder Intensive Treatment Team (ED-ITT) as a Medical Secretary and play a vital role in supporting a specialist service that is currently expanding through a number of exciting new developments and recruitment opportunities. As a key member of the team, you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support, including diary management, audio typing, appointment coordination, meeting organisation and maintaining accurate patient records.

Previous medical secretary or senior administrative experience is desirable, together with strong IT skills and a commitment to delivering an excellent service. Main duties of the job
As a Medical Secretary within our specialist Eating Disorder Intensive Treatment Team, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient delivery of patient care and ensuring the smooth running of the service. Working closely with clinicians, particularly the new to recruit consultant psychiatrist and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate a range of administrative activities, and help maintain effective communication across the service.
This is a new and varied rewarding role requiring excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage competing demands, and a professional, compassionate approach. You will contribute to a busy specialist service that supports individuals with eating disorders, helping to ensure patients receive timely and well-coordinated care while working as part of a supportive and dedicated team.

Job summary
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated Mental Health Professional to join the Wellbeing Team (Mental Health and Psycho-Social Substance Misuse) at HMP Eastwood Park.

You will be based with our multi-disciplinary team within the prison and will work closely with a variety of other professionals, including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Non-Medical Prescribers, Social Prescriber, Social Workers, Neurodevelopmental Practitioners and Recovery Co-ordinators.
NOTE: This post is open to newly qualified social workers. In line with AWP trust policy all newly qualified social workers (NQSW) will be recruited initially at Band 5 level, regardless of advertised role banding. All NQSW's are expected to successfully complete their ASYE within 2 years of employment, unless there are exceptional circumstances in which case it may be extended for a further 2 years.
If you have been appointed to an advertised Band 6 role this will be an automatic progression, following confirmation of your successful ASYE completion. If you have been appointed to a Band 5 post you will then be eligible to apply for a subsequent Band 6 vacancy upon successful ASYE completion.
Main duties of the job
This role is focused on providing appropriate, effective interventions and treatments to women with a range of mental health needs, and their carers (including friends and relatives) and their supporters in the community, enabling and assisting them to meet daily health, social care and wellbeing needs, in line with personal recovery goals, and facilitating engagement with mainstream services.
The post holder will work autonomously to undertake emergency assessment in a wide range of locations, planning and delivering defined, intensive, specialist interventions in line with the CPA framework to people with severe and enduring mental health needs, who maybe distressed and in crisis. Where appropriate the post holder will work alongside other services to plan, deliver and review effective "wrap around" intensive interventions to manage risk and prevent hospital admission for those with the most complex needs. This rolenecessitates working a shift pattern.
The prison houses up to 442 women. In addition to the specialist unit for substance misuse, the prison offers a Drug Recovery Community, Mother and Baby unit and health care clinic. Bridge and Monkseaton Medical Practice are looking for an experienced medical receptionist to join our friendly team working in a busy reception department. The candidate should possess excellent customer service skills to deliver high quality patient care. You will be based at Monkseaton Medical Centre in Whitley Bay or Bridge Medical, based in Shiremoor.
We are looking for a team player who has excellent customer service skills and who will use these effectively to ensure our service users get the very best experience from Bridge and Monkseaton Medical Practice . You must possess IT skills as this role involves using computers. Our System of Choice is SystmOne. Training will be given to the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
Your will be expected to take an active role within reception (switchboard, desk, prescriptions, home visits, dealing with results, notifications, tasks, dealing with external health professionals and attached staff), setting up consulting rooms, re-stocking trolley's and sweep rooms at the close of business, dealing with all manner of tasks regarding appointments, complete all staff mandatory training (attending staff meetings or e-learning toolkit), first point of contact to deal with general enquiries from patients or general public, be aware of any lab results which are phoned to surgery and ensuring that these are dealt with appropriately. You will be part of our Action Task Group and deal with any outstanding tasks, proactively recruit patients to appointments for LTC reviews and NHS Health checks where appropriate, proactively read and review polices and protocols to ensure efficient running of reception.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for motivated Doctors with an interest in Emergency Medicine to develop their knowledge and skills in an innovative and busy trauma centre. We have upcoming vacancy on our SHO and Junior Clinical fellow rota and are looking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Doctors at ST1/2 level. The posts are suitable for Doctors who have completed Foundation Training [or the equivalent] to join the SHO rota, and at least be post F2, and with some additional Emergency Medicine experience.
The post will include regular teaching and with the opportunity to get involved in audit/research. The department is well supported with middle grades and consultants who work a 24/7 rota. UHCW is a major trauma centre and the Junior doctors have allocated resus shifts in order for them to get involved with acutely unwell patients and trauma. All Doctors are allocated an Education Supervisor on starting a post to support of their educational needs.

Main duties of the job
The post involves working a full shift rota, including nights and weekends
- To ensure a safe and high standard of care of all patients in the Emergency Department & to work within the guidelines and practices of the Department. This includes liaison with colleagues in ED and other departments.
- To assist with the training and supervision of medical students and other allied health professionals in the Emergency Department.
- Attend the organised teaching sessions and participate in departmental audit projects.
- To participate in regular appraisal and mentoring sessions with the designated educational supervisor.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is a pharmacist, who acts within their professional boundaries, supporting and working alongside a team in general practice. In this role they will be supported by a senior clinical pharmacist who will develop, manage and mentor them and by a GP who will provide clinical supervision.
To provide clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement as well as managing aspects of medicines safety and antimicrobial stewardship.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a patient facing role and take responsibility for areas of chronic disease management within the practice and undertake clinical medication reviews to proactively manage patients with complex polypharmacy.
The post holder will provide primary support to general practice staff for prescription and medication queries. They will help support the repeat prescription system and medicines reconciliation on transfer of care and systems for safer prescribing, providing expertise in clinical medicines advice while addressing both public and social care needs of patient in the GP practice (s).
The post holder will ensure that the practice integrates with community and hospital pharmacy to help utilise skill mix, improve patient outcomes, ensure better access to healthcare and help manage workload.
