Job summary
Applications are invited for a 10 PA Locum Consultant Paediatric Surgeon based at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.
The specialty is currently led by Joe Curry and consists of 8 consultants, 4 SpRs, 4 Fellows and 6 ST1/2 equivalents, 2 PA's along with a clinic nurse specialist team.
This post will provide general and specialist paediatric surgery on an elective and emergency basis and will be part of the team providing specialist upper GI services. The general on call will be a 1 in 7 as well as a 1 in 4 Oesophageal atresia rota with support from a senior surgeon. The post would particularly suit a candidate who has recently completed full surgical training and wants to gain sub specialist experience in complex upper GI surgery.
Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust is a postgraduate teaching hospital, linked with the Institute of Child Health (ICH). The Trust has 318 beds and provides a comprehensive range of paediatric specialties for tertiary level care. The patient population consists of over 20,000 inpatients per annum and 84,000 outpatients.
All applicants must either be on the General Medical Council's specialist register or be within six months of obtaining their CCST/CCT award at the time of application.

Main duties of the job
The appointment is for a 10 PA Consultant Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeon. The surgeon, inconjunction with the current team of Specialist Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeons, will beresponsible for delivering a comprehensive surgical service at Great Ormond Street Hospital.The appointee will be expected to deliver the highest possible standards of care for patients.The successful applicant will have a commitment to the use of advanced minimal accesstechniques. They will be expected to take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduateteaching and training of health care professionals. Job summary
The clinical fellow will work on the general obstetrics and gynaecology rota. This involves working a 1 in 8 on call rota on the junior registrar rota (ST3-5) comprising of 1 in 8 weekday days (Monday-Thursday 0830-2100), 1 in 8 weekday nights (Monday to Thursday 2000-0830) and 1 in 8 weekends of days (Saturday and Sunday 0830-2000) and nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday 2000-0830.
Main duties of the job
During the period of time where the fellow is covering the Acute Gynaecology Unit, there may be a weekend where they cover the AGU on call. When not on call, daytime duties will be on the junior registrar rota, providing care to women in the wide range of services offered by the department; these duties will include antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology ward rounds, gynaecology and antenatal clinics, gynaecology theatres and elective caesarean section lists. The daytime delivery suite cover is by a junior registrar (ST3-5) and consultant. The daytime gynaecology cover is provided by acute gynaecology fellows who run the acute gynaecology unit between 0830 and 2100 daily. St George's maternity unit has a strong track record of training in intrapartum fetal monitoring using a fetal physiology and the clinical fellow would be expected to attend weekly training sessions.

- A non-executive director with a clinical background and an in-depth understanding and experience of clinical governance and healthcare regulation.

Crawcrook Medical Centre is a growing Practice of 20,500 patients. We have well managed branch surgeries at Rowlands Gill Medical Centre, Grange Road Medical Practice, and Blaydon GP Led Practice.
Our clinical team have bi-weekly clinical meetings and meet regularly during coffee breaks to support each other.

Our sessional rate is based on full time hours over 4 days.

Each session includes the following:
- 14 face to face 15 min appointments and completion of related clinical administration.
- Fair share of visits when required (normally completed by Nurse Practitioners)
- Fair share of bloods, tasks and medical reports (part-completed by non-clinical staff)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Health and Justice service for the role of Reconnect Navigator based within the Black Country to support the strengthening of the female pathway within the service.
Reconnect supports people leaving prison and immigration centres. We will work with people up to 12 weeks prior to release and up to 6 months after release unless their health needs are met before.
The post will be based in the community however forging strong links with the female prisons will be vital to support the transition for those females being released into the Black Country.
It is expected that the post holder will form a strong working relationship with the female pathway leads from local Reconnect services and with the female pathway champions across Health and Justice within MPFT to develop the pathway and support the development of others within the team.
Reconnect is part of an integrated service with Liaison and Diversion and Mental Health Treatment Requirement services as part of the Health and Justice Service.

The CAMHS directorate in North Yorkshire and York locality of TEWV is comprised of the two York Community CAMHS teams based at Lime Trees, the Selby team based at Selby Cabin, the Harrogate Team based at Dragon Parade, the Scarborough Team based at Lake House and the Northallerton Team based at North Moor House with a peripheral clinic in Colburn.
This post will provide input into Northallerton part of the North Yorkshire and York service. Specifically, this service is commissioned by the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership .
It has a Single Point of Access service staffed by an experienced staff team who triage and provide a telephone consultation service to families and referrers. The SPA responds to all referrals and help young people and their families with the process of navigating through the options to find a service that meets their needs. The service works with a model of brief intervention to empower young people and their families in achieving good mental health and well-being. Staff job plans are designed to deliver services described in the TEWV Clinical Pathways, in order to provide high quality evidence-based care.

Main duties of the job
The Consultant will have responsibility- together with the other Consultant in the team- for the provision of psychiatric services to children and young people living in the Northallerton area. A provisional job plan is set out in section 18
This provision will include:
Clinics at North Moor House and Colburn. The post holder will be allocated a proportion of secondary schools and their feeder primary schools. The aim of this is to enable the development of close working relationships with education staff and Primary care staff in a particular area. .
Liaison with Paediatricians based at the Friarage and James Cook University Hospitals and other nearby hospitals as and when appropriate.
Advice, consultation and supervision to the team.
Involvement in more complex cases using a co-working model, often in partnership with other agencies.

This is a new full-time Consultant Clinical Scientist post in Immunology. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Director of Blood Sciences and Consultant Immunologist to provide expert scientific and clinical input to support high-quality patient care across the Trust and regional network in Immunology.

The post is suitable to those wishing to get additional experience to enter training at ST3 level, gain experience to count towards CESR accreditation, or gain UK based experience. Previous clinical fellows have secured fellowships at major UK institutions and successfully applied for RCO consultant accreditation.
We have an excellent track record in successful CESR applications with previous post holders leaving to enter ST3 Training post. This post offers clinical and surgical experience equivalent to our training posts, including carrying out work based assessments suitable for a Royal College e-portfolio, and opportunities for ocular surgery. Time is also given to attend regular regional post-graduate teaching / educational events.
The post holder will participate in outpatient clinics, operating sessions and primary care session, including on-call.
Medical Practitioners applying for the post should be fully registered with the General Medical Council and will be expected to have had at least two years of experience in ophthalmology.
Main duties of the job
The post offers comprehensive experience in all aspects of ophthalmology in a well-supported and closely supervised environment. Appropriate clinical and educational supervision is provided within the department. Previous post holders have used the post to gain experience towards UK consultant accreditation. In addition, ophthalmologists with limited UK experience but on the GMCs specialist register have used the post to gain supervised training before progressing to further UK fellowships and subsequent consultant employment.
