- Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments.

This is a patient-centred General Practitioner role, delivered from your nominated practice site and supported by a multidisciplinary team.

The Old School Surgery and UWE Healthcentre Frenchay, are looking to appoint a highly motivated Care Navigator to enhance and support our hardworking & friendly reception team.
This is a Part time role and will be made up of a mixture of early shifts (7.00am start), and late shifts (7.00pm Finish) Monday - Friday. You MUST be available to work a blend of these shift times (we'll consider all work pattern requests). This will also include very occasional Saturdays.

Pre-Operative Assessment is a nurse-led service at the heart of the elective surgical pathway, ensuring patients are appropriately assessed and prepared for surgery. Within this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and pathway coordination support, working closely with nursing, medical, operational and administrative colleagues to ensure patients progress safely and efficiently through their pre-operative journey. You will also provide reception cover where required.
You will be responsible for monitoring patient pathways, coordinating appointments, investigations and outstanding clinical requirements, and ensuring service targets are met. The role involves regular communication with patients, waiting list teams, diagnostic departments and clinical staff, acting as a key point of contact throughout the pathway. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills are essential, together with the ability to work independently, prioritise a varied workload and adapt to the demands of a busy but rewarding environment.
Main duties of the job
- Monitor patient pathways using digital systems, identifying outstanding actions, potential delays and ensuring patients progress safely towards surgery.
- Coordinate and book pre-operative assessment appointments, investigations and diagnostic tests within agreed timescales.
- Liaise with patients, nursing teams, waiting list staff, clinicians and diagnostic departments to facilitate timely completion of pathway requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for patients, responding to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries in a professional and supportive manner.

Main duties of the job
We provide a 7 day in reach service to our 53 bedded AMU, with support from the Cardiac Specialist Nurses during the working week. We are exploring new models of working with our primary care colleagues in the community as well as closely integrating services with our regional tertiary referral centre, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. We were proud to receive a favourable review by the GIRFT team in Dec 2019 and our future development plans reflect the suggestions of this report.

Lee Mill Low Secure Unit is a 12-bed male inpatient ward set in the small village of Lee Mill just outside of Plymouth. We provide specialist mental health care for men who have often been involved in the legal system due to their mental health needs. The staff at Lee Mill are passionate about providing the highest level of patient centred care to an often challenging and disadvantaged patient group.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, passionate and committed HCA to join our highly motivated team. You will provide day to day support and care under the supervision of the nurse in charge which will make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable people from the South West region. It is an exciting time to join us as Lee Mill is involved in a variety of projects including the focus on Reducing Restrictive Practice and the Culture of Care.
We will offer access to further training, including essential training for staff working within secure services, and there are good promotional prospects within the team.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Health Care Assistant is to assist the team in delivering physical, social and psychological care to the service user with mental health problems admitted to the Unit and requiring conditions of security.
This may involve contact with relatives, carers and other agencies. They will carry out interventions as part of the care plans and record information using the CPA process.
The post holder will be directed to undertake tasks once adequate instruction has been given by the trained nurse and both parties are confident that the task can be fulfilled competently. This will be a ward based role with a recovery focus and an opportunity to accompany service users into the community with the supervision of other staff.
Due to the nature of the role, all staff are required to attend a physical interventions training session to ensure we can meet the needs of our patients and remain effective in maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all. This post covers a 24/7 shift pattern inclusive of nights.

What is a DBS Check?
A DBS check is a background check that reveals any criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands, or warnings. The level of check required depends on the role:
Standard DBS: Checks for spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and final warnings.
Enhanced DBS: Includes the above, plus any additional information held by local police thats considered relevant to the role.
Enhanced with Barred Lists: Includes all of the above, plus checks against the childrens and/or adults barred lists.
Who Needs a DBS Check

The Costs for a DBS
At Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), roles that require a DBS check are subject to a cost recovery policy. This means that the cost of submitting and processing a DBS application if you are successful and join us, will be deducted from your salary within the first three months of employment. If, however, you withdraw from a conditional offer after the DBS process has begun, you will still be liable for the cost incurred.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacists to join our existing patient focused team of Rotational Clinical Trial Pharmacists. Main duties of the job
In addition to gaining GCP, regulatory and operational Clinical Trials experience, depending on your previous experience, you may join one of two clinical rotational programmes;
- Clinical Trials within a SACT programme, where you will gain experience in Haematology & Oncology, BMT and Advanced Therapy Clinical Trials or
- Clinical Trials within General Medicine, including Neurology, Surgery, Renal, Endocrinology/Metabolic, Gastroenterology, Immunology, Rheumatology and Dermatology.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Haematologist with amyeloma/myeloid interest to join a friendly, enthusiastic team at UHDB. This is an 10 PA replacement post joining a large team of consultants. Additional PAs could be discussed upon successful interview.
In-patient therapies are provided on a dedicated, 18 bedded, haematology ward, providing BSH level 2b care, including induction treatment and salvage therapies for AMLs and high-grade lymphomas. We have our own Acute Unit for unwell patients (CTAU) run by advanced clinical practitioners with medical supervision and shared with Oncology.
Our department currently accommodates 5 specialist Registrars from the East Midlands Deanery and 3 specialty Doctors. We have also an established teaching program for medical students from the University of Nottingham and overseas.
The appointee will have the opportunity to shape the future of the service. This is an exciting time in the evolution of haematology care at UHDB and we would be pleased to hear from any candidate wishing to consider this role and discuss ours and their vision for this.
Main duties of the job
We are currently looking to recruit a myeloma/myeloid consultant to join the team. This is a full-time post based at the Royal Derby Hospital and Queens Hospital Burton but any candidate who wishes to work less than full time will be considered and supported, taking into account service needs. Due to the Trust being a merged organisation there is a requirement to work across other sites.
The successful applicant will, together with consultant colleagues, be responsible for providing a comprehensive service in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology across Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire, and will play an active part in decision making regarding the re-configuration of services in the Region.
The successful candidate will be actively involved in service development through innovation, restructuring and expansion of clinical trials and access to novel therapies.

We are looking for Registered Adult Nurses (Level 1) or Midwives who are passionate about reproductive healthcare, dedicated to giving great patient care & who are able to support women and men through their care journey with BPAS.
Based at home, with visits to the Richmond Telemedical Hub on a bi-monthly basis, you will undertake telephone consultations with BPAS patients to provide abortion and Sexual Health information, discussing their treatment options and assessing their medical needs. Every patient is different, and you will need to adapt your style to meet their requirements.
As a telemedical practitioner you will build a strong rapport with every patient you talk to. Your quick thinking and clinical experience will be essential in determining the next steps for the patient.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 35 hours per week. This will include one late finish and alternate Saturdays. More information can be found in the further information section below.
Main duties of the job
- To obtain a full medical history from the patient, including assessment of gestation from LMP and identify clinical factors which may place the patient at risk.
- To establish that the patient is sure of her decision to request a termination and ensure that the reason complies with the terms of the Abortion Act.
- To discuss and confirm treatment options with the patient if applicable.
- To appropriately complete the patients consent for treatment.
- To discuss, inform, confirm, and consent on the patients future choice of contraception, and provide information regarding access to contraception when relevant.
About you
You will be a registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or registered Midwife (practising) with a valid NMC PIN and at least 12 months clinical practice experience. A competent IT user with the ability to be adaptable and self-motivated, you will work to provide an excellent telephone consultation service to BPAS clients. You'll need to have sound communication and listening skills, whilst also being able to problem solve confidently.
Working on your own initiative, you'll deliver the patients journey of care with empathy and understanding, whilst using your clinical knowledge and skills to provide them with a great understanding of the service that BPAS provides.
