An opportunity has arisen within Sefton CAMHS. We are looking for a highly motivated & flexible individual with good communication, organisational and data input skills to join our friendly team of Receptionists.
Working 30 hours over 4 days (core hours between 8am and 6pm) on a rota basis, the duties include Outpatient clinic reception and admissions. Checking patients in and out of clinic, managing clinic flow and ensuring full cash up of the clinics are performed. The successful applicant must be committed to embracing new working practices in order to provide a continuing effective and efficient service. Excellent keyboard, telephone and communication skills Good interpersonal and team working skills are required, with the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise your workload and meet demanding deadlines.

Main duties of the job
- To work a daily shift pattern with a flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service.
- Receive and book in patients on arrival to appropriate departments, ensuring all patient demographic details are checked and amended on the PAS (Meditech) system.
- Record "Walk in" patients as required ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Ensure attendances are booked out according to instructions to "Admit", "Discharge", "Wait list" or "queue for future appointment" or "make appointment" if falls out of the partial booking criteria.
- Ensure that DNAs are recorded and actioned accurately and promptly.
- To assist the Operational Manger with the housekeeping, including the upkeep of equipment and reporting any faults to the appropriate person/department.
- Undertake general administration duties ie answering the phone line, photocopying, keeping collected data in order.
- Manage complaints / aggressive / abusive member of the public locally if possible and advise families of the Trust's complaints procedure. Escalate to Operational Manager if necessary.
- Liaise with Operational Manager to ensure that they are aware of any potential problems.
- Act at all times as a responsible member of the team, showing respect and consideration for co-workers, patients and visitors.
- Post holder will be expected to provide cover / rotation for other Patient Services staff when required to do so across multiple sites.
- To assist with the ordering of office supplies.

To be responsible for ensuring the MDT meetings within Radiology run effectively, are well structured, all patients discussed and the whole patient journey is accurately recorded on the Radiology Information System (RIS) system The post holder will ensure that there is robust identification of patients under Radiology care, facilitate processes to ensure adequate clinical governance procedures and help identify patients appropriate for non complex appointments and complex general anesthetic appointments. Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical psychologist to join the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team, within Community and Mental Health Division, at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a full time, permanent position. The ND psychology service is a small team consisting of a Lead Clinical Psychologists, 3 Clinical Psychologist, and two assistant clinical psychologists. The wider team consists ofCommunity Paediatricians, Neuro-developmental Practitioners, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners and Administrators.
At Alder Hey we are a commissioned ND Assessment service for Children & Young People aged from 2 years to 18 years who reside in Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley. We are looking for a clinical psychologist with strong clinical skills and experience relevant to working with children and young people. The successful candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and personal qualities which will support them to work with children, young people and families with neurodiversity, may be in acute distress or be from a diverse range of backgrounds. They must be able to communicate effectively with a range of professionals, including the police and social care. Experience of research and facilitating service developments is beneficial.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to undertake specialist assessment and diagnostic activities for children and young people referred to the Neurodevelopmental Service with suspected ASD or ADHD.
The post holder will:
- Work as a member of the Neurodevelopmental (ND) Team, providing a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to patients presenting for diagnostic assessment for Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and support the systemic governance of psychological practice within the ND service for patients and their families.
- Provide supervision to Trainee Clinical Psychologists, clinicians and assistant psychologists within the ND service as required.
- To utilise skills for research, audit, policy and service development as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinician to be Senior Therapeutic Practitioner for the Children and Young People's Gender Service (North West). The Children and Young People's Gender Service is a Phase 1 Provider of Gender Services provided in partnership by Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Working within one of the UK's largest specialist children's hospitals, the post holder will contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of children presenting with a wide range of acute and complex medical conditions.Main duties of the job
The role involves supporting the General Paediatrics service, which provides care for approximately 5,000 admissions annually, alongside extensive outpatient and rapid access clinic activity. The post holder will participate in the management of patients within the Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU), inpatient wards, and specialty services, undertaking clinical assessments, formulating management plans, coordinating investigations, and contributing to patient discharge planning under consultant supervision.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking dietetic team. We are seeking an experienced paediatric dietitian to work within our specialist cardiac service.

CLINICAL FELLOW PLACEMENT IN
PAEDIATRIC RADIOLOGY
This is a great opportunity to work in a world-renowned paediatric centre with internationally recognised Radiologists and Clinicians.
Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is a major teaching hospital of the University of Liverpool and has been approved as a supra-regional centre for cardiac surgery, epilepsy surgery and major trauma amongst others.
It serves not only the local population of children but is the tertiary and quaternary referral centre for children from Merseyside, Cheshire, parts of Lancashire, Shropshire and North Wales for many sub-specialties of paediatrics.
The hospital has approximately 270 beds including day beds for surgery. The paediatric services and expertise within the hospital are considerable and include cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, audiology, nephrology, respiratory medicine, oncology, orthopaedics and trauma, rheumatology, endocrinology, general surgery and general medicine.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for appointment to Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust for subspecialty training in Paediatric Radiology.
The post will be primarily based at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. The post is available for a 12-month period, starting from February 2027, but the start date may be flexible for the successful candidate.
The post is open to trainees who will have completed at least 5 years of a Specialist Registrar Training Programme in Radiology by 1stAugust. This is a fellowship position for a fixed term of one year and only available to international candidates with full GMC registration who can provide confirmation of full funding from their home country. For International trainees it would be desirable to have FRCR qualification for entry to the programme. Equivalent qualifications or experience will only be considered if there are no suitable applicants with FRCR qualification. Post-CCT candidates must have proof of CCT.

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with skills in managing children with long term needs including Long Term Ventilation, neurological and complex medical conditions to work within the Acute Integrated Therapy Team.

ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the clinical coding function within the Trust to support commissioning and data submission processes by ensuring the Trust's coding activity deadlines are routinely met and that staff within the department achieve the highest possible standards.
Responsibility for innovation in delivery of new coding methodologies and approaches, and in mitigating to a more automated approach.
Work with senior clinicians and senior managers across the Trust, analysing complex coding data to answer queries on clinical coding, and to ensure that clinical coding is accurate to support Trust income and all other business and clinical purposes for which the data is used.
Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with consultants and their clinical teams to ensure quality and depth of clinical coding is achieved. Main duties of the job
Manage, plan and organise the assignment of coding workloads to ensure, as far as possible, an even distribution of complexity and volume, ensuring high standards of clinical coding completeness and accuracy within agreed local and national contractual deadlines.
Responsible for daily first line management of the Clinical Coding staff, including attendance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, annual leave, appraisal and performance management.
Promote coding awareness and take part in Trust-wide clinical coding education by liaising with clinicians to validate coded information, attend clinical team meetings and deliver presentations to clinical and non-clinical staff.

Job summary
We are recruiting a B5 community based Occupational Therapist (OT) on a fixed term basis for 12 months, to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will have responsibility to support with the provision of high quality OT service to children with a range of conditions and presentations with a focus on neuro disability/ complex long term conditions and developmental needs in the community for the early years cohort (children of pre-school age). Main duties of the job
To be a team member of Alder Hey's Community Paediatric Occupational Therapyteam and as such, assist in the provision of Occupational Therapy services within Liverpool, working in partnership with parents, carers, education and other service providers to ensure a child centred approach to therapy.

Job summary
An exciting 12 month opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proactive paediatric respiratory physiotherapist (Band 7) to join the community physiotherapy service in Sefton at Alder Hey.
We are a community team of paediatric physiotherapists and occupational therapists who work with and support children and young people across the Sefton. Our respiratory service supports children, young people and their families aged 0-19 who have a complex neuro-disability and associated respiratory compromise.
The service is delivered in a wide variety of community settings including mainstream and special schools, nurseries, homesand clinics.
You will have access to regular clinical and managerial supervision and be supported by our team of experienced band 7 respiratory physiotherapists and our band 8a clinical leads and management team across the physiotherapy and occupational therapy services within the Alder Hey Community Teams.
You will be expected to work closely with our community matrons, acute physiotherapy staff, respiratorycolleaguesand community paediatricians to provide a holistic service to our children and families, working in an integrated way with our colleagues in education and social care.
Alder Hey community physiotherapy service covers Liverpool, South Sefton and North Sefton. This post is primarily based in Sefton, although the post will support all patients across the service. Some travelling to and working from the other bases may, berequired.

Job summary
The Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology service was established in 2005 and provides an outpatient and inpatient consulting service within the Trust and a daily bacteraemia and advice ward round. There are several specialist multidisciplinary team meetings each week and excellent, collaborative relationships across the specialist medical and surgical teams in the hospital.
The team sees approximately 1,000 ward consults, 700 outpatients and 400 day cases or ward attenders per year. We work closely with microbiology, infection prevention & control and allied services each with dedicated nurse specialists in antimicrobial stewardship (AMS), outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT), sepsis and vascular access. Alder Hey is approved as a subspecialty training centre for paediatric infectious diseases and is nationally commissioned for highly specialised services.This job is for an 8 PA Locum Consultant post to join the Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology service in one of the largest children's hospitals in Europe, Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will provide and support an outpatient and inpatient consulting service within the Trust and will work with clinical and laboratory colleagues (NHS and academic) both within the Trust and outside.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will participate in all aspects of the clinical inpatient ID/Immunology consult service and AMS/OPAT service on a rotational basis with consultant colleagues. The successful applicant will be expected to give advice on treating infection in inpatients through ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings. They will also be able to contribute to the TB and HIV services and the inpatient care of immunology patients and the supervision of inpatient immunisations. The candidate will be expected to participate in teaching activities with medical students and trainee doctors and engage in quality improvement activities within the Trust.
