A long-standing, well respected GP practice covering a semi-rural area between Lichfield and Burton on Trent, with easy vehicle access as we are situated just off the A38 close to the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas Surgery aims to offer a welcoming, high quality GP service to all its patients.
Main duties of the job
Working 6x sessions per week, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients and undertaking all clinical duties associated with GP work in line with GMC and RCGP standards and working with our multi-disciplinary team.
As a Salaried GP, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload, dealing with a wide variety of health needs in a primary care setting. They will work both independently and collaboratively as part of our team to deliver a high standard of care for all registered patients, while carrying out the associated clinical and administrative duties.
Patient care will be delivered face-to-face, over the telephone, and through our online dashboard system. The core surgery hours are 8:00am to 6:30pm.
You will also hold Duty Dr on-call responsibilities once per week, undertaking triage and same day needs assessment and response.
You will receive a competitive salary dependent on experience, 30 days annual leave pro rata and an NHS pension.

Located in the village of Alrewas, near the National Memorial Arboretum and close to the eastern Staffordshire/Derbyshire border. Just off A38, easily commutable from Derby/Birmingham.
We have 8000 registered patients and are growing rapidly. There is one dementia specialist care home within our catchment area.
The team currently consists of 3 GPs, 28 Employees consisting of a Practice Pharmacy and Nurse teams, Reception, Secretarial and care coordinator departments and an experienced and supportive management and administrative team.

Job summary
Alrewas Surgery is looking for a experienced Nurse to join our nursing team. The post is for 20-23hours per week. The role will involve all aspects of practice nursing, including cervical screening, baby immunisations, recording immunisations given abroad, family planning and chronic disease management. You willwork alongside our existing Nurse Team and closely with our three GPs to deliver high-quality patient care.
Main duties of the job
Patient Care: Assist & support the nursing team with clinical tasks like wound care, cytology, childhood immunisations, recording immunisations given abroad, medicals, and chaperoning. Conduct pathology requests, & manage LTCs including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, and the other Quality and Outcome Framework Reviews.
Clinical & Admin Duties: Follow protocols, maintain equipment and clinical rooms, ensure stock rotation, and manage vaccine orders. Support flu home visits, keep mandatory check records, input and management of patient vaccination records, and assist with administrative processes.
Confidentiality: Safeguard patient data and uphold practice policies on sensitive information.
Health & Safety: Implement infection control protocols, manage PPE and hand hygiene, handle specimens, and oversee sterile environments. Train on safety measures, monitor equipment, and address hazards.

Job summary
Alrewas Surgery is looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our nursing team. The post is for 22-25hours per week. A long-standing, well respected GP practice covering a semi-rural area between Lichfield and Burton on Trent, with easy vehicle access as we are situated just off the A38 close to the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas Surgery aims to offer a welcoming, high-quality GP service to all its patients.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a candidate that is competent in practice using their expert clinical knowledge and skills and the ability to act and make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
We are looking for an ANP to support our GP in the day-to-day care and management of patients. Providing an opportunity for patients to avoid the need to be referred to a GP, thereby enabling them to receive timely care and negate unnecessary delay in receiving treatment.
This position is an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop close, long-term relationships with their patients and work in partnership with them to achieve optimum health. We are looking for an individual that has attention for detail, well organised and the ability to work autonomous and make decisions based on assessment, diagnosis and the interpretation of test results. To independently prescribe appropriate medication, evaluate or refer to other specialists if necessary.

Alrewas Surgery is a semi-rural practice serving nearly 8000 patients. We are a staff team of 29 including GPs, nurses, HCA, clinical pharmacists and administrative and management staff.
