What you'll be doing

Main duties of the job
- Deliver high-quality clinical, educational and managerial services at Consultant level.

We currently have an opportunity for a senior physiotherapist to join our rotations at Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (ASPH).

Job summary
The fellowship is a clinical and research training position for a period of 12 months. During this time the fellow will work under the supervision of the MRC Lead. You will also availability to cover lists with all four of the consultants that cover arthroplasty and revision knee surgery.
The aim of the fellowship is to prepare the individual for a sub specialist career in complex knee surgery, and it is expected that by the end of the fellowship, the fellow should be able to plan and independently execute knee arthroplasty cases. There will also be exposure to primary and revision arthroplasty surgery, as well as unicompartmental arthroplasty and osteotomy. Fellows also have a commitment to the general orthopaedic trauma on call rota, sharing an on-call position amongst the middle gra
Main duties of the job
The Fellow is responsible for the daily assessment of all in-patients of his/her named Consultant at the EOC and should let the Consultant know if any problems arise.
There is a training Registrar attached to the Unit and ward based junior trainees. The Registrar is given prime responsibility for the daily assessment of trauma in-patients but will also be involved with clinical work on the Knee Unit. When the Fellow is away he/she should liaise closely with the ward doctors and Registrar on the Knee Unit to trouble-shoot problems for all firms and to contact the responsible Consultant in the event that a problem arises

Inpatient trauma surgery is carried out on 2 sites; the William Harvey Hospital (Ashford), and The Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital (Margate). Elective surgery is carried out at the Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC) at Kent and Canterbury Hospital (Canterbury). Day case surgery is performed at all the three of the sites above. Outpatient clinics are held on all the above sites, cottage hospitals and GP Surgery at Folkestone, Dover, Deal and Estuary View, Whitstable. We offer 27 days' annual leave and active support for study, quality improvement and patient safety work as part of our 'We care' improvement journey, and medical education and research. Job summary
The Department of Histology is seeking applicants for this role to work in our busy diagnostics department. Histology is the study of human tissues removed in surgery in order to identify the presence of disease.
The role requires a high attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with scientists and Consultant Pathologists. A friendly and team orientation outlook is required as this role is one of 12 within the department. Responsibilities and duties include specimen receipt, quality checks and data entry, preparation of workstations for dissection, assisting Scientist and Consultants during dissection, administration of laboratory areas, and maintenance of equipment and collation of completed cases for release for diagnosis.
An informal visit to the department prior to application is encouraged
Main duties of the job
Specific scientific training is not required. Experience of laboratory work would be advantageous but not necessary for the right candidate. Full on the job training would be given. For clarity, this is not a Trainee BMS role and applicants are invited and welcomed from a diverse background of training and experience.
Rotation to our satellite departments at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey or Frimley Park Hospital will form part of this role. Be prepared to participate in all rotas as needed to support a 7-day a week service, helping to future-proof the organisation's operational and staffing flexibility

We are looking for an experienced paediatric audiologist to join our dynamic team. The post-holder will provide paediatric assessments (in Tier 2 clinics), participate in paediatric hearing aid fitting and review appointments (in Tier 3 clinics)and electrophysiology testing as part of the newborn hearing screening programme.
The post holder should have experience at senior level in providing the audiological assessment and/or habilitation of children and young people aged 0-18 years.

Job description
Job responsibilities
1. Responsible for effective communication with multi- professional team members/line manager and other support staff2. Report to supervisor any patient problems, issues regarding clinical management of patients, from yourself or other community rehab workers3. Communicate effectively, sensitively and appropriately with patients (and their carers) who may have a variety of medical, psychological and social needs, including those with impaired cognitive function i.e. stroke, deaf patients. This may involve communicating difficult or distressing information to patients about a change in function or ability.4. Answers telephone and responds to patients enquiries, having the ability to problem solve and be the first line of enquiry relays information accurately to Therapists when relevant.5. Complete all necessary records, reports and statistics.6. To support with the allocation and scheduling of ICT visits7. 1. Initiate assessment, treatment and discharge of patients within Urgent Community Care as delegated by Team leads (as appropriate) without direct supervision.2. To facilitate the safe and timely discharge of patients with non -complex needs from the Department/ assessment including comprehensive risk assessment and management.3. To carry out community visits as appropriate to facilitate safe discharge within agreed protocols and guidelines and appropriate to in-patients/community therapy team4. When competent as a delegated task from a registered health care professional (RHCP) to complete a full set of observations/vital signs5. When competent as a delegated task from a registered health care professional (RHCP)to complete a Restore / Soft signs assessment 6. When competent as a delegated task from a registered health care professional to administer medication from a medicine administration record (MAR Chart)7. To use a range of verbal, non verbal and physical skills to plan and deliver physical rehabilitation using evidence based practice. 8. Triage patients to other staff in the team and staff that they line manage ( e.g. assistants and technical instructors)9. To formulate and write a problem list, goals and treatment/discharge plan for each patient according to the department documentation and the unit guidelines. Document all treatments.10. Prioritisation of own patient list and tasks. Responsible for planning and organisation of own patient caseload.11. Attendance at relevant multi professional team meetings reporting on own behalf as appropriate. 12.
