Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Administrative QOF Lead to join our friendly GP practice team.
By taking the lead on the administrative coordination and monitoring of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QoF), you will be working closely with both our Practice Manager and our Nurse Manager as well as the wider practice team (which includes GP's, the nursing team, pharmacy team and our administrative colleagues) to ensure that targets are achieved and our patients receive the best possible healthcare outcomes.
Main duties of the job
You will help ensure that QOF activity is managed proactively throughout the year and patients are recalled appropriately and outstanding work is identified and communicated to the relevant members of the team -
- Monitoring QOF performance throughout the year.
- Running and reviewing clinical searches and reports.
- Identifying outstanding QOF activity and coordinating appropriate follow-up.
- Managing patient recall systems for long-term condition reviews and monitoring.
- Supporting accurate administrative coding and high standards of data quality.
- Monitoring disease registers and highlighting potential discrepancies for clinical review.
- Providing regular QOF performance updates to the management and clinical teams.

The post holder will take responsibility for the administrative coordination, monitoring and delivery of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) within the practice.
This is a non-clinical role. The post holder will not be expected to make clinical decisions but will play a key role in ensuring that the clinical team has accurate and timely information to support high-quality patient care.

- Take day-to-day administrative responsibility for coordinating QOF activity across the practice.

These services may include befriending, weight management, mental health support, smoking cessation, local social groups, leisure centres and volunteering.
To work with partner organisations to support the development and delivery of an integrated care plan for the client so all their needs are met in a holistic way.
To follow up with clients, update their records and support them on an ongoing basis.
To make and maintain contact with local health and wellbeing service providers and build a network and knowledge of referral routes to and from service providers.
To ensure information about providers and voluntary groups is shared locally across neighbouring networks
To undertake regular training to extend and update knowledge of health and wellbeing issues.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a 27 hour part time HCA post to join our nursing team at Bewick Crescent Surgery. We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who is able to provide a high standard of patient care and services such as venepuncture, ECG recording, Blood pressure, and a wide variety of other HCA duties. The role is varied and covers a range of duties, and training can be given if needed to the right candidate. We are a supportive team and actively encourage and support learning and career progression. Hours are negotiable to suit business needs and patient care delivery. Salary scale is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Main duties of the job
We would like the successful candidates to undertake a wide variety of HCA duties which will include:
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure recording
- ECG (including 24 hour monitoring)
- Diabetic foot care assessments.

- Immunisations - Flu and Pneumonia
- IM injections - B12
- Ear irrigation

Bewick Crescent Surgery is a well known large GP practice located within Newton Aycliffe. It provides care to a practice population of approximately 13,500 patients. The wider practice team consists of 4 GP partners and 5 salaried GP's as well as the nursing and admin teams. The nursing team has 2 advanced nurse practitioners and 1 nurse practitioner, 4 practice nurses, 2 nursing associates and 4 healthcare assistants.
We provide a supportive and caring team environment which radiates throughout the whole practice team. We believe in working hard to meet the needs of our patient population, and like to go the extra mile to achieve this where possible.
You will entitled to 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays pro rata to hours worked.

Bewick Crescent Surgery is seeking a highly organised and proactive Rota - Co-ordinator to join our busy practice team to cover maternity leave for a fixed period of 15 months starting November 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator with workforce planning or rota management experience to play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective patient care.
