Job summary
Billericay Medical Practice are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly team of 4 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA and a large administrative team. We are looking for someone to work three days each week.
Working from purpose-built premises, we are an established training practice rated Good with CQC, with the use of SystmOne computer system looking after over 12,000 patients in Billericay.
Main duties of the job
- Practice independently in accordance with the NMC code of conduct, with reference to practice guidelines, referring to GPs as appropriate
- Continuation of personal and professional development
- Provide health screenings (within agreed protocols) with referral to general practitioners as necessary
- Provide Assessment, Screening Treatment Services and Health Education Advice
- Travel vaccinations
- Routine immunisations
- Cervical smears
- Family Planning advice
- Diabetes, Asthma and COPD management
- Support practice to achieve QOF
- Request appropriate pathology tests to support patient care

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Medical Secretary to join our friendly practice team. This will be job share, four days per week Tuesday - Friday, seven hours per day.
