We're looking for an experienced administrator to come and join our fast paced team in our Richmond Telemed hub. As an Admin Assistant you will be responsible for completing all administrative & client support tasks within the hub, supporting clients through their episode of care.

This is a permanent role for 26 hours per week to be worked over Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. More information can be found in the further information section below.

About You

You will have proven experience of working within an office environment, where you've carried out administration duties. You'll be an excellent communicator both internally and externally and will demonstrate a friendly and positive attitude when interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties.

We are also looking for:

• Experience of dealing with patients within a care environment.
• Knowledge of clerical procedures including checking documentation, telephone, and reception duties.

Main duties of the job

• Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with both internal and external colleagues as necessary, and also welcome clients and escorts to the hub directing them as required.
• Accurately check or complete all necessary BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring relevant documentation is available for the client's episode of care.
• Provide all information to clients in a supportive and reassuring manner, to ensure informed choices are made at all stages of their care.
• Monitor, edit and amend appointment list using the booking system, informing clients if changes to their appointment become necessary.
• Provide admin support for safeguarding in the hub.

Job summary

Please note: The successful applicant will be required to spend the majority of the first 8-12 weeks training within the Telemedical Hub in Richmond. We require candidates to live within a 60 minute commute to the hub (TW1 2AR).

Wanting a role where you can work from home, with the flexibility to fit working hours around your everyday life and circumstances?

Love working in Nursing or Midwifery but want to use your skills in a different way?

We are looking for Registered Adult Nurses (Level 1) or Midwives who are passionate about reproductive healthcare, dedicated to giving great patient care & who are able to support women and men through their care journey with BPAS.

Based at home, with visits to the Richmond Telemedical Hub on a bi-monthly basis, you will undertake telephone consultations with BPAS patients to provide abortion and Sexual Health information, discussing their treatment options and assessing their medical needs. Every patient is different, and you will need to adapt your style to meet their requirements.

As a telemedical practitioner you will build a strong rapport with every patient you talk to. Your quick thinking and clinical experience will be essential in determining the next steps for the patient.

This is a permanent, part-time role working 35 hours per week. This will include one late finish and alternate Saturdays. More information can be found in the further information section below.

Main duties of the job

• To obtain a full medical history from the patient, including assessment of gestation from LMP and identify clinical factors which may place the patient at risk.
• To establish that the patient is sure of her decision to request a termination and ensure that the reason complies with the terms of the Abortion Act.
• To discuss and confirm treatment options with the patient if applicable.
• To appropriately complete the patients consent for treatment.
• To discuss, inform, confirm, and consent on the patients future choice of contraception, and provide information regarding access to contraception when relevant.

About you

You will be a registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or registered Midwife (practising) with a valid NMC PIN and at least 12 months clinical practice experience. A competent IT user with the ability to be adaptable and self-motivated, you will work to provide an excellent telephone consultation service to BPAS clients. You'll need to have sound communication and listening skills, whilst also being able to problem solve confidently.

Working on your own initiative, you'll deliver the patients journey of care with empathy and understanding, whilst using your clinical knowledge and skills to provide them with a great understanding of the service that BPAS provides.

Are you an experienced clinical professional with a passion for patient safety and digital innovation?

BPAS is looking for an Interim Clinical Safety Officer to provide clinical safety leadership across our digital health systems, ensuring technology supports safe, effective and patient-centred care.

Working closely with clinical, operational and digital teams, you will lead clinical risk management, provide assurance for existing systems and support the development of our future clinical systems strategy. You will play a key role in ensuring digital innovation improves access, quality and efficiency without compromising patient safety.

About You

You will have current, unrestricted registration with a UK healthcare professional body, appropriate clinical experience and recognised Clinical Safety Officer training covering DCB0129 and DCB0160. You will have experience providing clinical safety assurance for digital health systems, with a strong understanding of clinical risk management, hazard assessments and patient safety.

You will be an analytical, collaborative and confident professional, able to provide independent advice, challenge decisions and escalate risks where necessary. Experience of digital healthcare systems, clinical safety documentation and working across clinical and technical teams is essential.

Are you a sonographer looking for a new role where you can use your specialist knowledge of obstetrics & gynaecology ultrasound?

We're looking for an experienced Sonographer to join our team in our Milton Keynes unit for 30 hours per week over Monday to Friday. A detailed shift pattern can be found below.

As a sonographer at BPAS, you will be performing high-quality obstetric dating scans as well as gynaecological scans to assess for RPOC. The main focus of the role consists of early pregnancy/dating scans but also dating in the second trimester performing HC measurements to determine a gestational age & post-treatment checks.

About you

You will be a qualified sonographer or registered Adult Nurse or Midwife but must possess a minimum Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound qualification. You'll have a minimum of 1 years experience since the completion of your Post Graduate Certification and will be registered with a professional body, either the NMC or HCPC.

You'll be client-focused & someone who considers themselves a team player.
