Posted 1 month(s) ago
Reference: 229-COR-8097235
Job summary
As part of the Trust's Information Management and Technology (IMT) Strategy, the IM&T Clinical Programme will radically alter the way that Trust staff interact and use technology to inform and support the care they provide.
Although Information Technology (IT) provides the opportunity to achieve these changes, the primary aim is to provide more effective and efficient patient care, not just implement new IT/clinical systems. Subject matter expert input is fundamental to the successful completion of these changes, and this role is crucial to the successful and safe implementation of the IM&T Clinical Programme.
The post holder will be one of the project managers for the IM&T Clinical Programme and will act as a role model and expert for all staff.
The core function of this role will be to enable the successful delivery of IM&T systems and functionality within the scope of the Programme and to support change as a result.
Main duties of the job
Use persuasion and negotiation skills to engage key stakeholders with complex and/or sensitive service changes in relation to process and/or service re-design and overcome resistance to change from staff (technical and non-technical) at all levels of the organisation.
Communicate, in the most appropriate manner, technical and non-technical information, and sensitive issues to internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers.
Ensure effective communication of business change plans and the associated benefits to staff and other identified stakeholders.
Lead multiple work streams ensuring projects are supported and delivered in-line with the agreed scope and timescales, delivering the functionality and benefits identified.
Respond to feedback on the IM&T clinical systems, where possible resolving complex problems and dealing with unanticipated issues, escalating to the relevant person(s) where necessary.
Help with communicating sensitive information about project delivery to key stakeholders in routine formal presentations.
Provide advice to Managers with regards to implementing new practice/processes.
Liaise with relevant Managers to report on the progress of the IM&T clinical projects and the effectiveness of the implementation.

Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to support and enhance the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care within our specialist Haematology service at UHD. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse with relevant experience to develop their clinical expertise, leadership skills, and make a real impact on patients living with complex haematological conditions.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haematology, you will act as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing expert clinical advice, care coordination, and psychological support to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. Acting as a clinical resource and advocate for patients, families, and staff
-
Contributing to service improvement, audit, and the development of care pathways
-
Supporting junior staff, student nurses, and the ongoing development of the nursing team
You'll work closely with haematology consultants, advanced nurse practitioners, pharmacy, and allied health professionals to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care
