The 111#2 service in Powys is a 24/7 open access all age service for those experiencing well-being and mental health issues, operating via the national 111 call line. The Service is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to offer advice, clinical triage, and interventions via telephone to individuals in mental health distress and signpost to other well-being, mental health and Third Sector services when required. We are looking to appoint two Senior Practitioners (band 6) to join our team in PTHB.
As Senior Practitioner in 111#2 you will work autonomously, providing high quality complex clinical telephone triage and clinical assessment to individuals presenting with mental health illness/conditions, in mental distress or acute crisis, resulting in a safe and appropriate clinical decision.
You will manage a varied team of staff including Well-being Practitioners, Health Care Support Workers, and Peer Workers, acting as a point of escalation and decision maker for clinical triage and risk management.
Main duties of the job
Use a range of communication methods adaptable to the needs of individuals, families, carers and partner organisations to review mental health telephone enquiries through assessing symptoms and health information, prioritising for urgency.
Provide clinical support and act as a decision maker for team members and work to improve the quality of the telephone triage assessment, to enable the best possible care outcomes for those experiencing mental health distress, families/carers and partner organisations.
Make dynamic triage decisions and connect individuals with local Mental Health and well-being services where appropriate, including liaising with partner organisations such as Primary Care, GP's, WAST, A&E, Police and Third Sector.
Provide specific mental health advice, relating to clinical risk, Mental Health Act or Mental Capacity Act.
Work with the Service to contribute to a reduction in the numbers of calls and the duration of calls made by people in Mental Health distress through:
Identifying and defining frequent callers.
Improving signposting to appropriate alternative care pathways.
Identifying a proactive plan of care to MH frequent callers.
Recognise potential crisis situations and act responsively and responsibly, to resolve the situation seeking assistance if required.

Main duties of the job
Decontamination Services Department (DSD) is responsible for providing sterile services to five of the hospitals that comprise the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The Department is run to the highest standards and is accredited to Medical Device European Directive 93/42/EEC, ISO 13485:2016. DSD is located in a large, state of the art, purpose built facility on the Oxford Road Site.
As a DSD Technician you'll undertake the decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation and distribution of medical devices (surgical instruments) for operating theatres and departments across the Oxford Road site, as well as to its outside customers. You'll also ensure that the service is provided efficiently and in accordance with the Department's policies, procedures and Quality Management System.
Whilst no specific qualifications are required, a background in sterile services would be useful, but is not essential as we provide a comprehensive induction and ongoing training programme. Rotational Occupational Therapist Band 5, Carlisle - 37.5 hours per week
We are looking to recruit a flexible and dynamic Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our exciting rotation at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and Carlisle and District ICC.
The occupational therapy team works 7 days per week and all staff participate in a weekend rota.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our internationally recognised Neuropsychiatry Service as a Consultant. The post holder will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and individualised treatment or management plans for adults aged 18 and over with a range of neuropsychiatric conditions, with a particular focus on General Neuropsychiatry and Non-Epileptic Attack Disorders.
Working closely with existing consultants and a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide clinical leadership and support the continued development of specialist care pathways. The wider team includes clinical nurse specialists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and access to high-quality investigative services.
The successful candidate will also play an active role in service development, clinical governance, audit and research. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing regional service with a strong national and international reputation for high-quality clinical care, innovation and research.
Main duties of the job
Providing clinical leadership and clinical expertise to support the work of multi-disciplinary teams, liaising with other agencies and contributing to the teaching and training of all professionals coming into contact with this patient group in relation to neuropsychiatry across the region.
The role will also include developing risk assessment and management plans in conjunction with the Multidisciplinary team, service user, carers and other involved agencies and facilitate maximum empowerment of the service user and carer in developing informed choice of treatment interventions.
The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and be willing to undertake training to obtain section 12(2) MHA to undertake Mental Health Act assessments where appropriate.

Job summary
North Cumbria Integrated Care is looking for a dynamic and motivated Consultant gastroenterologist to join our team of consultant gastroenterologists and gastrointestinal surgeons to provide an integrated digestive diseases service across north Cumbria. The North Cumbria GI Service is a new, cohesive and integrated department, combining the services of gastroenterology and endoscopy, upper gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, colorectal, emergency GI surgery.
The successful candidate will join a team of gastroenterologists supported by nurse specialists in IBD & hepatology across the Trust. Associated with the transformation of all our services across the Trust, and in conjunction with the introduction of our model for acute medical care, it is envisaged that future configurations will focus complex in patient work at the Carlisle site, and elective outpatient services (endoscopy and outpatient clinics) will be provided by all of the team across the Trust. Sub specialty interest will be encouraged where this contributes to and complements the department and Trusts' service needs.

Main duties of the job
The department has two dedicated GI wards within the Cumberland Infirmary at Carlisle for the treatment of inpatients. The plan in the near future is to have all GI areas co-located. There is a dedicated 4-room endoscopy unit at The Cumberland Infirmary and the new endoscopy unit at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven has 2 dedicated rooms in a new, state of the art facility. There is a specialist GI physiology lab on both sites.
We currently provide a consultant of the week service for our in patients, a 24/7 GI bleed rota as well as specialist services in IBD, Hepatology, HPB, Bowel Cancer screening and complex polypectomy. Endoscopy services, are provided across our two acute sites in Carlisle and Whitehaven. A full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ERCP, are available. Our new £15M, 5 room, State of the Art, JAG accredited Endoscopy Suite opened in March 2025.

We are currently recruiting Band 5 Recovery Practitioners (Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner) to work in our Recovery Suite which provides perioperative care for both adults and children in the following specialities:
Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Urology, Upper GI and Colorectal, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Vascular and breast surgery.
We provide exemplary planned one to one care for patients who have had general or regional anaesthetic. This care varies from patients following the day surgery pathway to patients following enhanced care pathways for major surgery.
This post is not only suitable for experienced Registered Nurses/Operating Department Practitioners, but it is an exciting start to any newly qualified RN/ODPs career. A preceptorship period is offered to all successful applicants, but our Trust has a dedicated one year preceptorship programme offering ten study days during this period to enhance any newly qualified RN/ODPs knowledge and skills.
Main duties of the job
The main role of this post is to provide excellent safe post-operative/anaesthetic care following the NCIC values and policies for all patients undergoing surgery within the Theatre Department.
To assess, plan implement and evaluate programs of care in partnership with the patient and the multidisciplinary team.
The Recovery Practitioner will carry out post-operative care in our recovery area and the Maternity Unit.
The post holder will demonstrate the compassionate values and behaviours need for dignified care.

We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity for current Healthcare Assistants/Assistant Practitioners/ Nursing Associates to develop their skills and train to be a Registered Nurse with the Open University.

- Healthcare Assistants/Assistant Practitioners/Nursing Associates who work for NCIC with at least 12 months experience or minimum 500 hours working for NCIC within the last year.
- Assistant Practitioners/Nursing Associates with a foundation degree gained within the last 5 years.
Main duties of the job
Applicants MUST possess GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent functional skills level 2 and the certificates to evidence this along with the Care Certificate.You will be required to provide these prior to interview.
You must be able to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week and be willing to work across North Cumbria for placements. This apprenticeship will commence in February 2027 and will last 3 years, on a secondment from your existing post. You must have the support of your current manager as you will be required to undertake placements outside your own ward/department. You will be paid Annex 21 of a Band 5 which is 65% of the top of the pay band 5 in year 1, 70% in year 2 and 75% in year 3. Your current hourly rate will be protected if higher than Annex 21.
Annual leave will need to be planned and allocated around University modules and placements as dates are compulsory

Job summary
This is a permanent post within the Psychological and Mental Health Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The post holder will have a specific focus on providing input into our Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Units and the Cardiac/ Respiratory teams. The post sits within the Long Term Health conditions cluster, which covers cancer, cardiology, respiratory, HIV, infectious diseases and intensive care services.
The post holder will ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality clinical service to inpatients and outpatients and their families within the above services. This will include evidence-based psychological and developmental assessment, complex formulation, and individual and family-based interventions. The role also requires a high level of multidisciplinary working supporting parents when their child is acutely and often severely unwell. The post holder will also be expected to provide recommendations and extensive consultation to professional colleagues and other agencies involved in the child's care, including facilitating staff support and reflective practice.
There are opportunities for supervision of both psychology and non-psychology staff as agreed with the consultant psychologists for their group.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to the flexible delivery of psychology services across the Trust, in response to new developments and organisational changes.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will predominantly provide a specialist psychology service to the NICU, PICU and cardiac/respiratory teams. They will ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality clinical psychology service to patients and families within the above services, across all sectors of care, including specialist assessment, complex formulation and evidence-based interventions. The post holder has a high proportion of direct clinical work, meeting with children and their parents both as inpatients, when the child or young person is acutely and often severely unwell, through to more long-term outpatient work (the outpatient work covers a range of clinical areas). They have responsibility for covering the ICU psychosocial meetings which ensures that the psychological needs of all children are discussed within the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). This fits with the service priorities and recommended standards to ensure that we meet the psychological needs of all babies and children.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an unregistered member of staff to join the Ophthalmology Nursing team at CTM.

We work closely with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams, including GP's, Palliative Care Nurses, Therapy Teams, and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.

Main duties of the job
Our aim is to provide treatment and support to patients in their own homes. Whilst undertaking a holistic nursing assessment, we aim to encourage patients to remain as independent as possible, in order to prevent hospital admissions.
Due to the nature of this role, the ability to meet the travel requirements of the post are essential.
The Golden Valley cover one of the largest areas within the service, this post will include a high amount of travel.
