The role involves cleaning in Clinical and non-clinical areas providing and maintaining the highest standard of cleaning to all areas in all wards and departments, ensuring at all times the highest degree of cleanliness, safety and care.
Main duties of the job

Cleaning experience is desirable though full training will be given. Responsibilities will include deep cleaning tasks such as hard floors, fixtures and fittings including sanitary areas of toilets, bath/shower areas. Replenishment of disposable commodities, i.e., soap, gel and hand towels as required and the removal of waste from all areas to designated collection points.

Job responsibilities
Ensure a timely and accurate response to all cleaning requests.
Work in partnership with the Ward Team, Facilities Team Leader/Assistant Facilities Manager.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards and infection control practices in the department as appropriate.
Maintain the integrity and reputation of the department by effective communication and harmonious attitudes with patients, staff and visitors.
Ensure patient dignity and privacy is respected at all times and report where you feel this has been breached.
Safe use of cleaning equipment/assemble and dismantle cleaning equipment; order stock.
Use effective and efficient cleansing/decontamination techniques across a range of skills.
Suction clean/dry mop floors, spot clean floors and remove spillages.
High dusting, damp dusting furniture, fixtures, fittings and ledges.
Spot clean internal glass as necessary.
Cleansing of wash hand basins, sinks, showers, WCs and fittings. Replenish supplies.
Cleansing of beds, bedside lockers.
Cleanse and refill soap dispensers and paper towel holders.
Removal of waste from wards and departments to designated collection points.
Use of polishing/scrubbing machines for maintenance of hard floors.
Use of extraction machine for carpet/upholstery cleaning.
Routine curtain changes (bed/window/screen curtains).
Making up of on-call and relatives overnight stay beds.
Use of ride on cleaning equipment; sweeper, scrubber dryer and burnishing equipment.
Undertaking any other relevant duties which are delegated from time to time.
Safe handling of cleaning agents and dilution ratios. Hazardous chemicals to be kept securely in storage areas when not in use.
All cleaning equipment must be decontaminated daily and maintained in a safe usable condition - faults must be reported to a Facilities Team Leader immediately.
Attend training courses including on the job training and training in the use of specific machinery as required.
Cleansing cupboards are to be decontaminated and kept tidy at all times.
Cleansing of infected room/bays in accordance with NUH Infection Control & Prevention Policy.
Close liaison with the cleaning services and team leader and ward manager in identifying additional cleans, such as isolation rooms and bed space terminal.
To act as a buddy to new starters (after training).

Job summary
The successful candidate will work within a large hub laboratory utilising cutting edge technology, serving both Leeds Teaching Hospitals and the wider community. This includes the regional Oncology centre and the Leeds Children's Hospital, which is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to gain wide ranging experience within the discipline. To be considered for this Specialist Biomedical Scientist (AFC Band 6) position in Biochemistry, you must be registered with the HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist and have experience working as a band 6 in Biochemistry or working towards completion of a Specialist portfolio in an NHS laboratory. If registering with the HCPC on or after 2006, a completed IBMS Specialist Portfolio is a requirement of this post. Full and part-time candidates are encouraged to apply. We encourage all candidates to contact us to discuss the role(s) and we can offer informal visits to our laboratories for interested candidates. Interview will be held in person, due to practical elements of the interview process. Full/Part-time Hours available. If appointed at Annex 21 the successful candidate will need to complete Specialist Portfolio in Biochemistry within 24/36 months of being appointed. Candidates undertaking a Specialist Portfolio will also be considered on AFC Annex 21 Band 6, providing it is clear from the application what progress has been made, and what support is required.
Main duties of the job
As a specialist biomedical scientist, you will be a fully competent member of the department. Normally working as part of a team, you will be expected to perform a wide range of specialist clinical technical investigations. At other times you may be required to work alone and independently, for example when working on-call. Working in different sections of the department you will have the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute towards the provision of an accurate and timely service for patients. You will be expected to apply professional judgements and specialist skills to technically complex and sometimes difficult situations. Within the team you may be required to organize the tasks of support workers. You will be required to communicate highly complex information, often related to patient management and care, to colleagues, healthcare staff and other organizations. You will be required to attend MDT and other user meetings where appropriate. Post holders will be involved in R&D and may lead projects, under supervision, where appropriate. The post holder will assist in the day to day running of the laboratory or a particular section of the laboratory, under supervision/delegation of the advanced biomedical scientist. This will involve QC and EQA authorisation, training, risk and incident assessment and investigation and HR procedures. oTo complete independent assessments for review clients or for walking aid and small equipment provision.

Within the caseload, and as delegated by the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse the post holder will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of the 0-19 service.
You will be based within the locality (neighbourhood) and will work with the 0-19 teams in that locality and supporting county wide work where needed for children aged 0-8 years. The role involves working in partnership with children, young people, families, primary care, schools and statutory and voluntary services and other partner agencies to facilitate health-enhancing activities and improve health outcomes.

We are seeking an organised and professional Receptionist to join our team at Marlborough House, a 28-bed male medium secure unit located on the Milton Keynes University Hospital site. This role is part-time working 22.5 hours per week.
The service comprises two wards. Watling Ward is a 20-bed acute admissions ward, including an Intensive Care Unit and de-escalation lounge. Whilst Chaffron Ward is an 8-bed ward supporting men who are progressing in their recovery but continue to require medium secure services. Referrals are accepted from adult and forensic mental health services, prisons, and high secure hospitals.

This key role within our urgent community response service supports provision of high quality care for people experiencing immediate health and care crisis and needing intervention at home to prevent hospital admission (where safe to do so).
The role provides the successful clinician with an opportunity to work within our community same day care services and help test, inform and finesse their continued development within the community.
Our same day care services currently operate on a shift basis working over seven (7) days a week 8am to 8pm, so flexible working into the evenings, over some weekends and bank holidays will be required. We are open to flexible and part time hours and the post is available part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) or full-time (37.5 hours per week).

Main duties of the job
Working with a high degree of autonomy to:

Job summary
Although this position is a 24 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 24 months.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain a fully funded qualification and step into the rewarding world of Midwifery--all while earning a Band 5 salary. University fees are also fully paid for this course, allowing you to gain a qualification and earn a salary at the same time with reduced financial pressures.
The two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery aims to produce competent, caring, autonomous and evidenced-based midwives, capable of delivering effective personalised quality care for mothers, birthing people and their families in any context.
During the two-year course, time will be spent 50% with London South Bank University Southwark and 50% on placement at Whipps Cross Hospital.

Main duties of the job
To be eligible for this programme applicants will need to meet the following entry criteria:
A registered Adult nurse (level 1) with current registration with the NMC;
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2:2: with a minimum qualification of Diploma in Higher Education with evidence of study at Level 6;
At least 6 months post qualification clinical working experience as an adult nurse on the NMC register in the UK;
For applicants whom English is not their first language, they must achieve a minimum score of 7.0 overall or equivalent, with not less than 7.0 in the listening, speaking and reading sections and not less than 6.5 in the writing section for the International English Language Test Score (IELTS) at the time of application OR for the Occupational English Test (OET), they must achieve a minimum grade of B overall or equivalent, with not less than a B in listening, reading and speaking and a C+ in writing.
The following is the alternative to the IELTS or OET? You have completed a pre-registration nurse, midwife or nursing associateprogramme that was taught and examined in English. During thatprogramme you must have spent at least half of your time interacting withpatients, service users, their families and other healthcare professionals,and at least three-quarters of these interactions must have been in English.
