This is fixed term until 01/09/2027
The Trust is seeking to appoint part-time, fixed-term and maternity-cover locally employed ST3-level doctors to join the Emergency Department (ED) at Peterborough City Hospital.
The post is designed to provide support to the Consultant staff and to enhance the clinical supervision of junior doctors (FY2 and ST1-2's). The post holder will join middle grade rota and make a significant contribution to the service delivered to patients within ED.
The applicants should have at least 6 years post registration experience, of which 24 months will have been spent in an Emergency Medicine setting at ST3 level equivalent or higher with a commitment to a career in Emergency Medicine, demonstrated by completing parts of MRCEM/ FRCEM.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be part of the ST3 rota providing 24/7 on site cover within Peterborough Emergency Department.
- The post holder will work across the full range of emergency services delivering patient care.
- Initial assessment and treatment of adult & paediatric patients arriving in the department by ambulance or other means.
- To carry out manipulation of fractures and dislocations, together with other minor procedures such as suturing and regional block anaesthesia
- An integral part of in-service training for resident doctors.
- Supervision of FY2 and ST1-2 doctors. In addition we have medical students from Cambridge, ACPs and EP trainees who are provided supervision and shop floor teaching.
- Participation in the department's teaching programme and appraisal.
- Audit and administrative roles, e.g. Police Statements, Clinical Audits and service development (6hrs per week on average will be allocated for CPD, teaching and administrative work)
- Cover for colleagues during annual and study leave will be integrated in the rota.
- The post holders will work with the audit lead supervising the audit projects of the resident Doctors and will be required to conduct their own independent audits together with producing action plans as required.

We are looking for an experienced Nurse with a background in frailty to join our innovative Ageing Well Team across the PCN. The post holder will provide proactive, person-centered care for people living with moderate and severe frailty, including undertaking and coordinating Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments (CGA) to identify medical, functional, psychological and social needs and agree individualised care plans.

The model was introduced to emulate community care for individuals with complex needs in robust, spacious accommodation.
The services are staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurses and Support Workers.

Job description Job responsibilities Join the team at Beck House in Darlington as an experienced Registered Manager, where you will lead and develop the services to deliver specialist care. You will be working 37.5 hours a week at Beck House, a 6-bedded service, residential service for adults under 65 years with a learning disability, autism and sensory and communication differences. In this role, you will have overall leadership and management of the service, developing close working relationships with the community multi-disciplinary teams, and other external stakeholders and be responsible for the delivery of excellent care and operational performance, whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers. You will have previous experience from the NHS or private care as a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) or a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with an excellent record of leadership and management responsibilities. Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs.
These could include mental health conditions such as mood disorders and acute psychosis. Additionally young people may have co-existing additional needs such as neurodevelopmental disorders, including mild learning disabilities or autism. We are a GOOD rated hospital following CQC inspection and are looking to employ a highly skilled, forward thinking, dynamic individual as a clinical specialist Physiotherapist working in pelvic health and maternity.
The post is suitable for an experienced physiotherapist with past leadership and service development experience. The post will be operating across the Outpatient Physiotherapy department and, working with individuals with a variety of complex needs.
The successful applicant will have extensive NHS pelvic health and maternity experience and possess excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment and teaching skills.
There is a possibility this role could be offered as a Band 7 Advanced Practice Training post, dependent upon applicant qualifications. This would be determined at interview stage.
Main duties of the job
To oversee and provide clinical leadership for the pelvic health and maternity physiotherapy team with implementation of the perinatal pelvic health services.
To undertake an Advanced Practitioner clinical and leadership role within the pelvic health/maternity department at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
To provide highly specialised physiotherapy assessment and management to a highly specialised clinical caseload that frequently have complex and/or chronic or life limiting conditions, without supervision.
Interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical data to form accurate diagnoses and prognoses informing complex decision making, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-focused care.
To act as an expert Advanced Practitioner and leader within the wider musculoskeletal therapies team.
To act as the lead clinical representative on agreed clinical and service development groups and boards.
To provide highly specialist care of complex patients including Advanced Clinical interventions and management as appropriate.
To provide expert training, advice and clinical education to service providers, service users and service commissioners.
To lead and support audit and research projects and identify opportunities for research in relation to Pelvic Health services, in order to evaluate service delivery.

Job summary
The post has arisen following a major review of vascular services which has led to the designation of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a major Vascular Intervention Centre for Lancashire and South Cumbria. The new Vascular Centre serves the populations of neighbouring hospitals in Wigan, Blackpool and Morecambe Bay, a population of approximately 1.5 million.
Out-patient, day-case and diagnostic work continues in these local trusts, with Vascular Consultants bringing all elective inpatient cases to the centre, as well as participating in an emergency vascular on-call rota, all emergencies coming to the centre. This model conforms to the "hub and spoke" network recommended by the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
The new appointee will have duties in the hub. The network has a total of twelve Vascular Consultants, and the successful candidate will be part of the team, that includes 9 Middle Grades as well, working across the four trusts, participating in a "Surgeon of the Week" and a separate night / weekend rota.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work primarily on the ward, supporting elective and non-elective activities. The surgeon of the week (SOTW), whose routine duties are cancelled for the week, is responsible for daily ward rounds, assisting assessment of emergency admissions and assisting emergency interventions.
The post holder will:-Specifically adopt, in conjunction with colleagues, an active role in planning, development and delivery of the vascular service at a time when the organisation of vascular services is undergoing great change.Participate in the weekly network MDT meetings with colleagues from all disciplines involved in the care of vascular patients.Provide activity support in the non-intervention centre hospital trusts.The final detail will be negotiated and agreed with the successful applicant.
This post will be part of the 1 in 16 on-call general surgery rota at FY2-CT1/JCF grade level covering Preston and Chorley Hospitals.
