Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic full-time Band 3 Supervisor to join our team in Outpatients at Good Hope, with a focus on the Trauma & Orthopaedic and Ophthalmology departments.
The applicant will be responsible to support the team leader in the day-to-day management of staff in the outpatient department
This role will be pivotal in managing the training and development of staff in an efficient and proactive manner.
The role requires a friendly individual who can work as part of a team, effectively communicate with staff and visitors at all levels, and to manage a highly detailed and varied workload
Main duties of the job
To provide daily support to the team leader
To assist colleagues as directed by the team leader in times of pressure of work
To exercise initiative and judgement based on acquired knowledge and experience when dealing with enquiries
Co-operate in the induction of new staff and new working practices to ensure the smooth running of the department
Use Trust systems to input electronic data as required
Create documents / spreadsheets / reports as required using IT Systems
Receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries as appropriate
Monitoring shared inboxes, unoutcomed appointments and being responsible for PBWLs.
Candidates should have experience undertaking a range of administrative duties and have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and able to multi-task.
You must possess excellent keyboard and IT skills and be able to manage and prioritise your own workload and respond well under pressure.
Knowledge of Outpatients is essential as well as being fully trained on Oceano, Optims and having a good understanding of partial booking.
Knowledge of HR procedures, Allocate, annual leave & sickness management is an advantage.

Job summary
We are seeking applications for the role of the Lead Designated Nurse for Safeguarding in Black Country ICB until the end of March 2028. This post will be open to staff on a fixed term contract or secondment basis. There may be scope to extend but this will not be known until closer to March 2028.
The postholder will be responsible for strategic and operational management of the ICB designated safeguarding functions and ensuring the ICB fulfils all statutory safeguarding duties. As such they will be knowledgeable and able to demonstrate considerable experience in all aspects of safeguarding relating to adults and children.
The post holder must be familiar with all aspects of safeguarding legislation and best practice.
The postholder will work alongside other Lead Designated colleagues and provide safeguarding system leadership for a defined area (s), managing the local safeguarding team and workstream including the related strategic plan for their area(s) of activity. They will work with partners across the sector in the delivery of strategic priorities.
Work will be varied including provision of advice to strategic commissioners and specialist advise relating to individual cases, oversight and management of team members and deputising for the Associate Director for Safeguarding and Partnerships.
Main duties of the job
- Ensuring the ICB can demonstrate fulfilment of all Statutory Safeguarding functions as outlined in the Safeguarding Accountability and Assurance Framework.
- Work closely with ICB colleagues in contracting and commissioning to ensure that all commissioned and contracted services adhere to the safeguarding requirements.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Health Economy providing specialist advice and safeguarding leadership in the delivery of key improvements.
- Ensure learning is disseminated and implemented and demonstrate the impact on children, adults and families.
- Work closely with local Safeguarding Boards and Safeguarding Partnerships in the delivery of their multi-agency safeguarding arrangements and improvement plans, leading and coordinating key pieces of work supporting the LSP and DSP
- Identify, escalate and mitigate safeguarding risk
- Utilise the ICB safeguarding reporting and governance infrastructure fully to ensure that the effectiveness of safeguarding arrangements is understood.

The successful post holder will:
- Support Lead the Designated Nurses for Safeguarding children and adults in fulfilling the functions associated with the post as detailed in statutory / national guidance.

Main duties of the job
Providing comprehensive clinical assessments and management for patients requiring urgent care outside of normal surgery hours across home visitations. Managing a varied caseload including acute minor illnesses, injuries, and chronic condition exacerbations. Utilizing the Adastra clinical system to accurately record consultations and clinical notes. Working collaboratively with healthcare colleagues, including nurses, paramedics, and administrative staff, to ensure continuity and quality of patient care. Making appropriate referrals, liaising with secondary care services, and ensuring patient safety through effective clinical decision-making. Participating in clinical audits, governance activities, and continuous professional development.

The successful applicant(s) will join a large and enthusiastic neurosurgical team, offering a comprehensive neurosurgical service to the people of West Yorkshire and beyond. The role sits exclusively within the neurosurgical department which has three inpatient wards, a neuro HDU and dedicated neuro ICU. The successful candidate will work on the neurosurgical wards (including neuro critical care) and will, alongside the ACPs, provide the daily medical cover to the neurosurgical inpatients. Neurosurgical JCFs also contribute to a full shift pattern of on-call cover, including nights and weekends. This will include the assessment and treatment of acutely admitted neurosurgical patients. There will be opportunity to attend neurosurgical clinics, MDTs and theatre lists (acute and elective). Formal and informal teaching is provided; in theatre and outside of theatre. There are numerous research opportunities within the Department. A study leave budget is available, to assist with career progression. Many previous post-holders have gone on to successfully secure NTN training posts, both in neurosurgery and elsewhere.

We have opportunities for a staff nurse within our endoscopy nursing team at Stepping Hill Hospital. You will be a diligent nurse and be ready to partake in the on call service.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will have excellent communication and decision making and reflect the Trust vision and values in their daily working lives. Staff will be required to work flexibly over the working week and you will be required to participate in the 24 hour on call rota. Therapy Technical Instructor (T&O): Permanent (37.5 hours) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Therapy Technical Instructor within the T&O Integrated Therapy team.
You must have significant experience as a Band 2 or 3 Therapy Assistant or currently be working as a Band 4 Technical Instructor. You must be well motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering high quality care and service delivery to patients who have a wide range of orthopaedic conditions.
You will be working under the guidance of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists carrying out a range of assessments/reviews of patients both on the In - Patient wards and in the Pre - operative Education Groups for elective joint replacements. You will be undertaking a range of tasks independently within a supported environment. You will be able to work flexibly depending on the needs of the service.

- Lead on the provision of high quality care to the service users admitted to Crocus Ward

You will work as a Children’s Support Assistant providing a high quality of care to children/young people and their families, considering the individualised needs for each child based within your allocated Rehabilitation or Residential House.
You will work within a holistic model to ensure care; education & therapy needs are met twenty-four hours a day.

- Commitment to complete the Regulated Qualifications Framework Level 3 (Residential Childcare) within two years of commencing employment within The Childrens Trust.
Desirable
- National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) / Regulated Qualifications Framework (formerly QCF) Level 2.
Experience

- Previous experience of working with children/young people with disabilities and complex health needs.
