Job summary
Join Optimised Care as a Medical Secretary and become part of a growing, consultant-led private healthcare provider focused on delivering excellent patient care.
We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary with an ASMPAR qualification to provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to our consultants and clinical teams. This is a hybrid role, combining time onsite at The Bromsgrove Hospital with the flexibility to work remotely.
Youll play an important role in keeping consultant clinics, patient correspondence, referrals, appointments and clinical administration running smoothly. Youll work closely with consultants, patients, GPs and our wider team, making sure information is accurate, timely and handled with complete confidentiality.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Secretary who enjoys working independently, takes pride in getting the detail right and wants the flexibility of a hybrid working environment.
With a negotiable salary, flexible part-time/bank working options and the opportunity to work within a growing private healthcare organisation, this could be an ideal role for someone looking for greater flexibility without stepping away from a professional clinical environment.
ASMPAR qualification is essential.
Main duties of the job
As a Medical Secretary, you will provide reliable and efficient support to consultants and the wider clinical team, helping to ensure patients receive a smooth and professional service.
You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day medical administration, keeping consultants organised and ensuring important information reaches the right people at the right time.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting consultants with their day-to-day administrative requirements.
Managing correspondence, reports and clinical documentation.
Coordinating patient appointments, clinics and follow-up activity.
Communicating with patients, GPs, consultants and other healthcare professionals.
Handling telephone and email enquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
Maintaining accurate patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Helping to ensure clinics and patient pathways run efficiently.
Working independently when required while maintaining close communication with the wider Optimised Care team.
The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment, with excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to providing a high standard of patient service.
