Job summary
Are you an HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist seeking a new challenge?
We are looking for a an HCPC registered Psychologist who enjoys working as a fully integrated member of the MDT in adult of working age acute inpatient wards.
You would work as part of an adult acute male inpatient ward situated at Littlemore Mental Health Centre in Oxford. There will be a full time assistant psychologist working with you. There would be opportunity to offer placements to trainees.
We welcome applications from newly qualified psychologists and we have a successful preceptorship programme to aid development.
You would have a clear co-created job plan that is varied and flexible with a supportive and visible consultant psychologist. There would also be allocated time to pursue a special interest or develop skills that would be in line with the service.
This role is recognised as crucial in ensuring that patients get access to high quality psychological treatments within the adult inpatient wards. You will be a valued member of the team.
We are a fast growing service that encourages innovation. There are exciting plans for the service to be part of research trials.

Main duties of the job
- Psychological assessments and time limited psychological interventions within an inpatient setting. Opportunities to work with a wide range of presentations on a 1:1 and with families.
- Facilitating team formulation sessions,
- Facilitating team reflective practice groups
- Offering CPD workshops to multi-disciplinary staff.
- Consultation and encouraging staff teams to think psychologically.
- Attending and offering a psychological perspective in ward reviews and professional meetings
- Developing and facilitating groups on acute inpatient wards.
- Experience of supervising therapists and other clinical staff

The Abingdon Team is part of the South Oxfordshire Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT), a busy and dynamic service that places patient-centred care at the heart of everything we do. We are a highly motivated multidisciplinary team, committed to delivering high-quality assessment, treatment, and recovery-focused interventions to adults experiencing mental health difficulties.
We are currently seeking a qualified Mental Health Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team on a full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, support workers, and other partner agencies to provide holistic care to our local population.
You will be based within Abingdon Community Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Assessment of new patients referred into the AMHT
- Brief follow-up work with patients who require that work following assessment
- When working with people who have been admitted to hospital, actively working alongside inpatient services to support good quality discharge planning
- Holding a caseload of patients who require longer-term follow-up from the AMHT
- Multi-professional and multi-agency liaison with other services in the local community

We are looking for an RMN to join our Older Adults Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based in the South of Oxfordshire. This will be a full time post with some flexible working considered at point of request.

The team works closely with a wide range of internal and external partner's including GPs, district nursing, therapy services, ambulatory care, social care and physical and mental health inpatient providers. Our team covers a wide geographical area bordering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire and so is ideally placed for staff commuting from Swindon, Reading and Aylesbury. Our main office is in Abingdon, but we have a base in Wallingford and hot desking space for staff covering those areas.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of our multi-disciplinary team you will be expected to:
- Offer assessments and interventions to our patient group of older adults with mental health needs.
- Manage a caseload of patients with a variety of mental health conditions both functional and organic as well as supporting our duty and triage function.
The MDT is made up of Medical, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Psychology colleagues and we highly regard one another's professional background and contribution to the care of our patients. We view supervision as fundamental to the functioning of the team both clinically and in terms of the well being of our staff.
You will need to be organised, flexible and committed to delivering the highest possible care to our client group. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good lT skills are essential.
Ideally you will have experience of working in older adult mental health services and understand the challenges that working with this client group brings. However, if you have transferable skills and are motivated to learn about our client group we would encourage you to apply.

The R&D Finance team provides pre and post award financial support to researchers undertaking or applying to undertake research activity within the OUH.

2. To submit, negotiate and agree funding proposals with commercial and non-commercial funders withinkey performance timelines and in particular meets the national 150-day metrics for study set up.

Job summary
The Thames Valley wide program for children and young people with complex needs is centred around the implementation of practice framework known as the framework for integrated care. It is designed to improve outcomes for a cohort of vulnerable children and young people with complex needs who experience some of the highest levels of health inequalities in society.
The framework focuses on trauma informed practice, agency working and achievement of consensus across professionals and Family by clinical formulation and support for professionals and others who are directly involved with young people.
Clinicians working within the new development will be involved in direct clinical work, interprofessional liaison and training. The scope of work and understanding of intervention will broader than that encountered within most existing CAMHS provisions.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of the flexibility and adaptability required from a service working with this group of children and young people. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal liaison skills and strong background experience in working with young people with mental health and neurodevelopmental needs in a range of different environments and settings.
The successful applicant will be expected to support in every aspect of the service to ensure high-quality service delivery to children, families and professionals. This will include contributing to, and writing up, multi agency consultation and specialist assessments, supporting the clinical lead in service development and ongoing research, and will lead in the collection of outcome data for research and service evaluation.

Our mission is to create a large and diverse Cellular Pathology department providing individuals with personalised and flexible working patterns to support their professional interests and development.
Main duties of the job
You will be supported by strong and experienced specialist reporting teams. Opportunities exist to work in a range of subspecialties. The department is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and is proactive in developing and adopting solutions to maintain high quality sustainable reporting including an expanding scientist reporting strategy, automated laboratory processes and use of PACS based digital image reporting.
We advocate "lean principles" and have recently moved to 7 day working in the laboratory. Our plans for digital pathology will further underpin successful and efficient flexible working, teaching and research.
NMCPS cellular pathology processes more than 85,000 surgical cases, 5500 non-gynaecological cytology cases and 800 autopsies (the majority for H M Coroner) per annum. The laboratory is modern, well equipped and has excellent facilities including those for immunohistochemistry and rapid processing as well as FISH and Molecular services.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will work within a large hub laboratory utilising cutting edge technology, serving both Leeds Teaching Hospitals and the wider community. This includes the regional Oncology centre and the Leeds Children's Hospital, which is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to gain wide ranging experience within the discipline.
To be considered for this Specialist Biomedical Scientist (AFC Band 6) position in Biochemistry, you must be registered with the HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist and have experience working as a band 6 in Biochemistry or working towards completion of a Specialist portfolio in an NHS laboratory. If registering with the HCPC on or after 2006, a completed IBMS Specialist Portfolio is a requirement of this post.

What you will bring to the role
As a specialist biomedical scientist, you will be a fully competent member of the department. Normally working as part of a team, you will be expected to perform a wide range of specialist clinical technical investigations. At other times you may be required to work alone and independently, for example when working on-call. Working in different sections of the department you will have the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute towards the provision of an accurate and timely service for patients. You will be expected to apply professional judgements and specialist skills to technically complex and sometimes difficult situations. With a reputation for excellence, our service provides a stepped model of care tailored to the individual's needs for stabilisation and recovery. Within this post, you will provide specialist eating disorder assessment and treatment for adults with eating disorders, in a community setting across Wiltshire and Swindon.

Main duties of the job
oTo work alone in a variety of community settings with clients and carers, eg: home environment, sports centre, hospital clinic.
oTo complete independent assessments for review clients or for walking aid and small equipment provision.
oTo deliver effective physiotherapeutic intervention following management/ treatment plans prepared by the physiotherapist.
oTo organise and independently deliver exercise sessions/gymnasium sessions for clients in community settings or online in conjunction with the physiotherapist.
oTo demonstrate a clear understanding and apply the principles of self- management and personalised care within long-term disability management.
oTo show due regard for the client's physical and psychosocial needs and recognise change in the client's condition.
oTo accept responsibility for a clinical caseload, and to organise this effectively with due regard for clinical priorities and the geographical area covered.

Are you an experienced clinician with a passion for working with young people and their families? We are looking for a skilled and motivated clinician to take a lead role in the delivery of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A) across Buckinghamshire.
You will provide expert clinical care, spending your time working directly with patients, while leading the development and delivery of the DBT-A programme. You will be responsible for maintaining the programme and its clinical governance, as well as providing professional leadership and clinical consultancy to colleagues.

Main duties of the job
This is a varied role and you will play a vital role within the team, being first point of contact for our patients and providing administrative support for the clinicians across the team. You key responsibilities will include:
- Process and resolve face-to-face enquiries and telephone calls/emails from patients, relatives, staff, and other professionals, promptly and sensitively making autonomous decisions to signpost to appropriate clinician or alternative service, ensuring messages are dealt with or passed on quickly and efficiently.
- Work closely with team members, providing a flexible service and being willing to assist staff with a variety of development work as and when required.
