Job summary

The task will be varied, engaging, and difficult, necessitating creativity, good communication skills, and attentiveness.
The postholder will be part of a dynamic and multifunctional team that is responsible for providing great customer service to all stakeholders of the Trust.
Operator Leads will be responsible for working on the new system, i.e., call console attendants, which is an integrated application within MS Teams, as well as a call handling console, monitoring emergency response systems, and other activities to support communications throughout the Trust.
Maintain effective working relationships with various customers, both internal and external to the Trust. Team members are also expected to respond by the Trust's EPRR, as well as to implement the business contingency plan and coordinate with all sites.
Operators are also known for lone working due to shift patterns being out of normal working hours and weekends. This includes ensuring adequate levels of cover for annual leave and sickness, having a degree of flexibility, and being willing to cover shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends to maintain service continuity.

Job summary
This post forms part of the new Community Eating Disorders Service. The role will involve direct clinical care and supporting a multi-disciplinary team which includes specialist nurses, nurse therapists, clinical psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists, social workers, and peer support workers. The work is outpatient based and will include assessment and follow-up work and management of psychiatric and physical co-morbidity.
The ratio of new patients to follow-up is expected to be 1:5.
Protected time will be allocated within the job plan for CPD and audit. Training will be available and there will be opportunities to be involved in research.
It is envisaged that the post holder will work 10 programmed activities over 5 days. Following appointment, a meeting will take place no later than three months from appointment with the Lead Consultant and Medical Lead to review and revise the job plan and objectives of the post holder.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of this post will be to support the consultants in providing high quality services to patients with eating disorders. The post-holder will assist the consultants in all aspects of the service, including the provision of emergency care.
The post-holder will be expected to assess and manage patients suffering from a range of eating disorders; this will include both psychiatric and general medical care. Management will include both pharmacological and psychological treatments. The post-holder will be expected to carry out a full medical assessment, perform a mental state examination and perform a physical examination when appropriate.
The post-holder will assess patients referred for both outpatient and inpatient treatment and liaise with referrers.
The post-holder will support non-medical members of the multidisciplinary team and review patients as required at their request.
The post-holder will be expected to attend team meetings and clinical reviews, leading such events if required.The post-holder will conduct, and regularly review, assessments of risk with patients and determine/agree management strategies to reduce risks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 Orthoptist to lead the inpatient and outpatient Orthoptic Stroke Service at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust.
The Royal Eye Unit at Kingston Hospital is a large, modern ophthalmology department providing a comprehensive range of specialist services. The department comprises 16 Consultant Ophthalmologists, an Acute Referral Clinic and a dedicated imaging team, offering a varied and rewarding caseload.
The successful candidate will join a supportive multidisciplinary team of Orthoptists, Optometrists and Consultant Ophthalmologists. You will play a key role in the delivery, development and continual improvement of the Orthoptic Stroke Service, working closely with the wider stroke multidisciplinary team across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
In addition to providing highly specialised clinical care, you will contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audit, teaching and training.
You will act as Clinical Tutor for Orthoptic students, supporting their clinical education and development, and will share responsibility for deputising for the Head Orthoptist when required.
Main duties of the job
To assess, diagnose and develop treatment plans for children and adults presenting to the Orthoptic Department, in accordance with the professional standards and guidelines of the British and Irish Orthoptic Society (BIOS).
To work autonomously while also contributing as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team.
To support Consultant Ophthalmologists by undertaking comprehensive orthoptic assessments of patients before and after squint surgery and Botulinum Toxin treatment.
To lead the Orthoptic Stroke Service across inpatient and outpatient settings, providing specialist expertise and supporting colleagues in the assessment and management of patients with visual difficulties following stroke.
To support the education, training and development of undergraduate Orthoptic students in the role of Clinical Tutor, and to contribute to the teaching and development of other healthcare professionals and students.
To act as a mentor and role model for junior members of staff, providing professional support, supervision and guidance as required.
To contribute to service development, clinical audit, quality improvement and governance activities within the department.
To deputise for the Head Orthoptist when required, supporting the operational leadership and management of the Orthoptic Service.

The post will include working with elective orthopaedic inpatients, the elective surgery pre-assessment team, elective patients from other surgical specialties, and our developing prehabilitation service for elective joint replacements, including delivering education sessions pre-operatively. This post will be primarily based out of our accredited elective hub at the King George Hospital site, however there is opportunity to work cross site at Queens Hospital if required.
You will be able to assess and discharge patients independently, as well as provide advice and support to patients and family members. You will need excellent communication and reasoning skills. The post involves close working with the MDT to provide evidence-based patient-centred care. You will provide specialist mental health assessment, intervention and risk management for children and young people experiencing a mental health crisis. You will undertake comprehensive assessments across community, emergency department and acute hospital settings, gathering information from young people, families and partner agencies to inform clinical decision-making and care planning.
You will develop and deliver collaborative crisis, safety and risk management plans, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based, person-centred and focused on achieving positive outcomes for young people and their families. The role requires autonomous practice, sound clinical judgement and the ability to respond effectively to complex and high-risk presentations.

Job summary
The post holder will participate in the dissection of categories A-E histopathology specimens as per RCPath guidelines and departmental SOPs and be included in the resident doctor dissection rota.
The post holder will work with the Head BMS in the development of the Digital Pathology system, working to introduce AI algorithms and digital MDT's.
The post holder will oversee the Special Stains section, participating in the creation of training and creation of training materials.
Additional duties may include routine BMS Band 7 duties
Main duties of the job
Participate in the dissection of categories A-E histopathology specimens as per RCPath
Macroscopically examine, describe and photograph specimens where necessary
Dissect and select relevant material for histological processing to enable accurate diagnosis of disease in the subsequent histology sections.
Select appropriate preparatory procedures to aid diagnostic interpretation e.g. decalcification etc.
Mentor or teach lower grade staff via tutorials, slide sessions and lectures
Participate in the planning, production and delivery of lectures required for the in-house training
Assesses the knowledge and proficiency of staff working in area of responsibility, highlighting training needs to the manager as necessary.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Wellbeing Practitioner to join the established Mental Health Support Team in Warrington, delivering mental health support to children and young people across education settings in Warrington.

Main duties of the job
Provide assessment and low intensity interventions, such as psycho-educationalinterventions, one-to-one psychological therapies and parenting interventions.
