Job summary
This varied role will provide support across HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, governance, patient safety, facilities management and IT administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Practice.

Leadership and Operational Management
- Provide day-to-day leadership, support and supervision to the Reception and Administration teams, promoting a positive, patient-focused culture.
- Support workforce planning and rota management to ensure appropriate staffing levels across both practice sites.

As a Patient Services Advisor at Churchmere Medical Group, you are able to manage, assist and direct patients in accessing the most appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
You will provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued, you will work over our two sites in Ellesmere and Whitchurch and you will enjoy a range of roles and responsibilities during your working week.
We can offer either full time or art time positions:
Full Time - 38hrs a week over four days
Part Time 28.5hrs a week over three days
Main duties of the job
The following are core responsibilities:
- Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the Practice.
- Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system.
- Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments.
- Contact patients to book follow-up care/appointments (including appointment for family planning and minor surgery) and pass on messages from other members of the practice.
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately.
- Signpost patients to the correct service.
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies.
- Clinically code data on EMIS.
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Input data into patients healthcare records as necessary.
- Direct requests for information, i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team.
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times.
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.
