This is a vital role for the London Ambulance Service, receiving and taking charge of all incoming emergency calls. You are the first point of contact for our callers and patients, some of whom will be distressed, anxious or panicking. Using effective communication, interpersonal and persuasive skills, you will deal with all callers in a professional manner in order to obtain the required essential patient information.
Using the Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS), you will obtain an initial assessment of both the patient and the scene in an efficient manner. You will also be responsible for accurately recording essential patient information in a precise and timely manner.
Please note you must hold:
- Relevant English & Maths Qualification
As apart of role requirements for the job you will need to provide evidence of a minimum of 3 GCSE's or equivalent at grade C / 5 or above (including Maths and English, NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent).You will need to evidence these qualifications at the conditional offer stage.Failure to provide this recruitment team could lead to your conditional offer being withdrawn.
Main duties of the job

You must be able to remain calm in an emergency. When people are panicking, your role is to be clear and assertive where required to ensure the caller remains focused. You will need to be able to follow a script and reassure the caller, but also to be firm where necessary about what they need to do.
Our staff are on the end of the line while new life is born into the world and we helped to deliver them. We provide support and reassuring words for someone alone with no one else to turn to. We stay on the line with those who are vulnerable having engaging conversations to find out more information. We are the voice that comforts those who have lost a family member and we are there, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Following a shift you will need to be able to switch off, which can be hard, especially after dealing with difficult calls. As part of a team, your colleagues are there for you and will help, support and enable you to realise the difference that you have made.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit three Support Secretaries on a 12-month fixed term or secondment basis. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated candidates who can provide a high-quality, efficient secretarial support service. Applicants should ideally have a broad range of secretarial and administrative skills and experience.
The department is fast paced, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively within team.
This role is part of a team of three Secretary vacancies, and the successful candidates will work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the service. They must be able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage their own workload effectively.
As the role involves regular contact with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals via telephone and email, applicants must have excellent communication skills and a courteous, professional, and empathetic manner.
The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and experience of proofreading and editing documents.
This is a 12-month secondment opportunity. Please note that if the secondment ends earlier than anticipated, or the substantive postholder returns to their role before the end of the secondment period, this appointment may be terminated early in line with the appropriate notice provisions.
Main duties of the job
- To support the Senior Medical Secretaries on a day-to-day basis with admin, typing of letters and overseeing of basic tasks
- To liaise with and act as a point of contact for clinical and non-clinical staff via telephone and email
- To act as a point of contact for patients, relatives and carers. The post holder should be polite and empathetic to the patient's needs at all times and be able to communicate effectively when dealing with difficult situations/conversations
- Returning calls promptly and keeping callers updated with information in an effective and efficient way
- Escalate patient queries, capacity problems and general issues to the role's line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriate
- To show a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives and carers. This may require acting with resilience to deal with sometimes distressed patients and relatives in a professional and empathetic manner

We are looking for a motivated, detail-focused Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This role would suit someone with an interest in NHS capital and charity accounting who is keen to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the timely and accurate production of monthly and annual capital accounts to include:- Recording capital transactions accurately.
- Monthly processing of depreciation, amortisation and Accruals in line with Trust policy.

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Band 5 School Nurse to join our expanding School Health Plus Service. The School Health Plus service is directly aligned to the goals and aspirations of the school or academy. The School Health Plus nurse can work with the school or academy to target both individual and specific underlying community issues that may be creating barriers to success.
The post holder will work closely with and in school to meet the health needs of the school community. The post holder will be expected to manage a workload of children under the supervision of the Band 6 SCPHN within various schools and develop relationships with the school family and partner agencies to improve health outcomes for children, young people and families.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will develop links with the wider public health nursing team to ensure continuity of care and to safeguard the children. The school nurse will provide clinical expertise to the multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams and act as a source of advice to parents/carers, children, young people and other health care professionals. The post holder will contribute to public health initiatives and activity in the school and health promotion activities which support the school population, as well as the school community.
Please note this post is for a full time all year contract (and not annualised/term-time hours). This will allow the post holder to work during some school breaks alongside other staff in supporting children and their families during these times

Main duties of the job
You will join a supportive and developing Inventory and Logistics Team that is focused on delivering innovation, continuous improvement and best practice across inventory management and supply chain services. Our busy, fully computerised Pathology Laboratory at Peterborough City Hospital requires staff members to join our team that supports analytical and diagnostic procedures performed in the Pathology Laboratories.

We are seeking an organised and compassionate Immigration & Redeployment Coordinator to join our Recruitment Team.

We care for patients with acute surgical conditions, who are admitted either to the Surgical Admissions Unit or the Same Day Emergency Clinic. We admit patients under the following specialities: Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal, Urology, Vascular, Renal, Plastics and occasionally Breast.
The post holder will be responsible for assessment, planning, provision, maintenance, and evaluation of patient care, rotating between both clinical areas.

Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist patient focused advice and support to inpatients within case load.

Employed by GMMH, the team holds commissioning and quality responsibility on behalf of the GM ICB/NHS England for the 4 GM Adult Secure Provider organisations (GMMH, PCFT, Elysium Spinney & Cygnet Bury).

Based at Harrop House, Prestwich Hospital, but offers a combination of office, home and remote working across the Provider Collaborative footprint as required. Main duties of the job
The Case Manager provides expert forensic pathway oversight and acts as a key contributor to the Provider Collaborative's quality assurance arrangements, working operationally under the Senior Case Manager and professionally alongside the Head of Quality.
The role supports the team in driving transformation as well as best value in planning, quality oversight and the commissioning of adult secure mental health and LD/A services.
The role is designed to build a combination of forensic expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery, and to promote pathway advice for secure/specialised services.
Responsible for the development and implementation of service improvements in secure and specialised mental health, learning disability and autism services.

Health and Justice Services are looking to recruit a Senior Assistant psychologist to work within the integrated mental healthand well-beingteam at HMPRisleyand HMPThorncross.
We are seeking a full-time Band 5 Assistant psychologist to support the delivery of the psychological provision, utilising a stepped care approach. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Recovery Worker to join the Trafford Neighbourhood Mental Health Service.
The service aims to provide timely access to mental health support, particularly for individuals who may not meet the threshold for specialist services. It focuses on delivering goal-based, time-limited interventions, promoting independence, recovery, and community integration through a trauma-informed and person-centred approach.
The service is delivered through multidisciplinary teams, including mental health practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, recovery workers, wellbeing practitioners, pharmacists and peer support workers. It adopts a holistic model, considering psychological, social and physical needs, and works collaboratively with local partners to provide coordinated care.
Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
Main duties of the job
As a recovery worker you will be working intensively with service users, enabling them to live their lives and achieve their own goals - with support from a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, social workers, psychologists, and medical staff.
The post holder will support individuals in their recovery through using a variety of interventions to promote independence, functioning and social inclusion.
Interventions may involve activities of daily living, vocational and educational aspirations, development of family and social relationships, attending appointments, accessing meaningful activities.
The post holder will support services users in a variety of setting, but they will be encouraged to come into the community setting.
The role currently operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

Nottingham is the Primary Treatment Centre for the East Midlands (population 4.5 million) and treats 120 new patients with malignant disease a year. The department has 17 designated in-patient beds including a 5 bedded TYA unit, 3 day-care beds and access to beds on the neuro-sciences ward.
This is a varied and interesting post in paediatric oncology and haematology. Experience will be provided at Nottingham Children's Hospital (Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust) in general paediatric oncology, paediatric neuro-oncology, paediatric haematology, TYA oncology, neuro-rehabilitation and clinical trials.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will rotate through three different clinical areas: oncology and haematology inpatients (including neuro-oncology, leukaemia and non-malignant haematology), day care and outpatients. Trainee supervision includes twice weekly consultant-led ward rounds; solid tumour, neuro-oncology, haematology, psychosocial, neuro-rehabilitation and TYA MDTs; an 'attending consultant' system for in-patient care and new patient referrals; and a weekly supervised chemotherapy prescribing session. Induction includes supervision in bone marrow sampling, safe chemotherapy prescribing and handling and accredited training in prescription and administration of intrathecal chemotherapy. Out-patient clinics include general and neuro-oncology, leukaemia, non-malignant haematology, combined neuro-oncology / endocrine and neuro-oncology / ophthalmology and late effects / long term follow up. Depending on experience and training the successful applicant will be expected to run their own outpatient clinics with consultant supervision. Occasional participation at regional shared care clinics is encouraged.
