This provides a potential total support package of up to £13,000.Demand for Gastroenterology outpatient and Endoscopy services continues to grow across East and North Hertfordshire NHS Teaching Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our established team and help deliver high-quality care across the Trust.This substantive post is based at Lister Hospital, Stevenage, comprising 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) and participation in the 1 in 12 GI bleeding and emergency endoscopy on-call rota. The successful applicant will join a team of 12 Gastroenterologists and 4 Hepatologists, providing comprehensive Gastroenterology services across Lister Hospital, New QEII Hospital, and Hertford County Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and community partners to provide outstanding patient care and contribute to the ongoing development of Gastroenterology services across the Trust.We are proud of both our reputation for delivering high standards of care and our friendly, supportive working environment.It is expected that the applicant will complement an existing department offering gastroenterology and liver services, please see job plan. Across the Trust the care of GI and liver inpatients is centralised at the Lister site with consultants involved in a 1 in 12 GI bleeding rota which incorporates a 24/7 bleed service and some routine endoscopy at weekends whilst on-call. The post does not include a commitment to the general medical on call rota.

At Birmingham Hospice our teams are committed to improving the quality of life for people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families and loved ones during one of the most challenging periods they will ever face.
Our 24/7 Specialist Palliative Urgent Response (SPUR) service support patients with a palliative diagnosis and those that are reaching end of life in the patients own setting providing rapid, compassionate palliative care support across Birmingham and Solihull. This service ensures that patients and families receive expert help when they need it most - day or night.
We are looking for an experienced, innovative, patient-centred, compassionate and motivated HCA to join this fantastic professional team working overnight. You will be working alongside dedicated urgent response nurses and clinical nurse specialists caring for palliative patients within their own homes. You will be required to deliver personal care and adapt to the changing needs of a patient and their families whilst being sensitive to their spiritual, psychological and social needs.
Main duties of the job
Our requirements:
Level 3 NVQ in health or social care or show a willingness to work towards.
Experience of working in a care role in the health care sector and/or other care related experience
Competent in English and Maths (up to GCSE level or equivalent)
The ability to work nights and flexibly
The ability to use your initiative and prioritise your workload
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Competent IT skills including use of databases, email, and Word
You will need to be a car owner/driver with access to your own vehicle and hold a current full UK driving licence or have access to a driver.

Hepatology has become a key specialty within the Trust, and its acute inpatient care has improved patient outcomes. The liver unit, duties of the post and opportunitiesThe hepatology teamThe hepatology unit sits within the department of gastroenterology and hepatology. The hepatology clinical team comprises 2 consultants, 4 band 7 clinical nurse specialists and a band 4 Fibroscan technician. We have level II training accreditation, which brings with it a dedicated hepatology training registrar.Inpatient hepatologySupported by a hepatology registrar, we provide hepatology in-reach across the hospital, with particular focus in ED, AMU and ITU. This allows for hepatology support to be provided for the patient's entire inpatient admission.Outpatient hepatologyWe provide general hepatology outpatient services in addition to specialist clinics including viral hepatitis clinics, post-transplant clinics (with colleagues from the Royal Free), and ex-ward 'hot' clinics with a focus on registrar training. We have established CNS-led clinics for MASLD, stable cirrhosis and viral hepatitis. Fibroscan clinics operate at all three hospital sites

Main duties of the job
- To provide a high standard of podiatric care to maintain tissue viability, mobility, and independence for high-risk patients or those who have an acute infection. This will be delivered through assessment, diagnosis, and development of care plans, including specialist care plans for patients with specialist care needs such as acute and chronic neuropathies, vascular, neurological, tissue viability and wound care management, diabetes, musculoskeletal and rheumatological problems

Job summary
This post will join the team of consultants responsible for the provision of acute and elective services to the Local Health Board in Cwm Taf. The post will be part of the Urology team and provide support to the Urology on-call rota for daytime cover 7 days a week. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who wish to gain wider experience in urology specialty in an acute setting and help prepare them for higher training in urology. The post holder will be required to work on the junior doctor on-call rota for Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
A wide range of general experience is a requirement, and special interests, which compliment existing services, will be supported.

You will be the source of expert pharmaceutical advice for the MDT and undertake patient-centered medicines discussions. This is an on-site opportunity offering strong in-person collaboration with the team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work with the Clinical Lead/Lead Pharmacist to develop clinical pharmacy services within the Tower Hamlets directorates. They will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the Trust's clinical pharmacy standards as well as ensuring the clinical service is of high quality and patient-focused. They will identify gaps and problem areas in the service and will use Quality Improvement methodology to make positive changes. The postholder will be required to work closely with the clinical lead ensuring that stock control of medicines on the wards is accurate and that cost effective measures are taken to improve medicine use across the inpatient wards. The post holder will also be expected to manage clozapine supply for inpatient and service users in the community.
You will also need to have the skills to be able to work effectively within the wider multi-disciplinary team of nurses and doctors and other allied healthcare professionals and managers. You will want to develop and improve the reliability and quality of our clinical pharmacy service and partake in Quality Improvement projects.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed Pharmacy Technician to join the Luton and Bedford Inpatient pharmacy team. The post holder will lead on a full range of clinical & dispensing activities, using their enthusiasm to motivate the team to meet department deadlines, as well as participating in the line management of junior staff. You will use pharmacy computer systems to co-ordinate and maintain the supply of medicines.
You should have great communication and interpersonal skills; be flexible and adaptable; and be able to work in a dynamic environment.
You will be expected to develop good working relationships with other staff within pharmacy and with the directorate multidisciplinary team.
All applicants must have completed a BTEC / NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent and be registered as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will possess an accreditation in medicines management training (AIMMS/MOPs) and have completed accredited checking technician training (ACPT),

Main duties of the job
-
- To assist with the provision of a high quality clinical pharmacy service to patients of the Trust and work closely with all pharmacy staff and maintain a close working relationship with other members of the multidisciplinary team
- To undertake general dispensary, stores and procurement activities as required
- To take a lead in the day-to-day running of the team/department
- To maintain the ACPT qualification
- To line manage, train and support junior staff
- To work in a number of different environments including mental health in-patient wards, PICU, Home Treatment Teams and the Luton Satellite pharmacy dispensary.

Job summary
You will be responsible for providing a clinical pharmacy service to designated mental health inpatient teams and delivering on all aspects of medicines optimisation. You will be the source of expert pharmaceutical advice for the MDT and undertake patient-centered medicines discussions. The succesfull candidate will also be expected to supervise junior staff and contribute to workforce development and staff training alongside leads of the service.
We will be supporting newly qualified pharmacist into the specialty of mental health hospital pharmacy and will be encouraging them to undertake a post graduate certificate. During your progression role you will have the opportunity to rotate through a number of mental specialisms such as CAMHS, Forensics, Older Adults, PICU, General adult and also be able to participate in a rotation with our acute trust provider.
You will also need to have the skills to be able to work effectively within the wider multi-disciplinary team of nurses and doctors and other allied healthcare professionals and managers. You will want to develop and improve the reliability and quality of our clinical pharmacy service and partake in Quality Improvement projects.
It is imperative that the successful candidate is able to show compassion and respect for people with mental health illness and be driven to improve their care through the safe and effective use of medicines.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work with the Clinical Lead/Lead Pharmacist to develop clinical pharmacy services within the Luton and Bedford directorate. They will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the Trust's clinical pharmacy standards as well as ensuring the clinical service is of high quality and patient-focused. They will identify gaps and problem areas in the service and will use Quality Improvement methodology to make positive changes. The postholder will be required to work closely with the clinical lead ensuring that stock control of medicines on the wards is accurate and that cost effective measures are taken to improve medicine use across the inpatient wards.

The posts are ideally suited to those looking to expand their expertise in a specific area of anaesthesia whilst working within a busy tertiary hospital.
Successful applicants will join a busy, supportive department, providing anaesthesia for a broad range of specialties, and will participate in 2nd on anaesthetic rotas covering Anaesthesia, Enhanced Perioperative Care (EPOC), Obstetrics, and Critical Care as required
Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities
The posts offer both subspecialty training and development in a range of clinical areas and opportunities for non-clinical professional development. Clinical duties will include those normally expected of an anaesthetic ST6+.
Of the available Fellowships, Thoracics/Upper GI and Neuro/Spines are based solely on the City and QMC campus respectively, with the remainder delivered flexibly across both locations. The work schedule is 48hrs per week on average, and it includes a contribution to resident on-call and out-of-hours activity at a frequency of up to 1 in 7. The available Fellowships are as follows:

Job summary
Clinical Engineering are looking for a Porter - Stores person to cover their spares parts and consumables stores. Based at the Northern General Hospital (NGH), but working across the city, the successful applicant will be responsible for booking deliveries into the stores using the departments database and also ensuring any parts ordered for jobs are delivered to the engineers.
They will be the the face of the department for visitors entering the NGH and will ensure that all visitors sign in and out of the department.
They will also cover the Porter when required retrieving and delivering medical devices around the hospital. In addition when required they will cover driving duties between sites in Sheffield delivering parts and medical devices. Training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with a full clean driving licence and level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
They must be happy working within a team as well as under their own initiative.
The applicant must be able to follow written standard operating procedures as well as verbal instruction.
They will be expected to participate in the annual stock check as well as stock and ordering audits within the department s ISO9001 Quality Management System.
They will be working with engineers of differing grades, managers, admin staff, couriers and nursing and ward staff.
The applicant will also have an annual appraisal as well as annual mandatory training.
The successful applicant will have good communication and people skills.

Clinical Engineering sits in the Directorate of Medical Imaging and Medical Physics (MIMP). The department has two sections, Medical Device Management and Medical Device Innovation.
There are over 70 staff in the department working in all the cities hospitals and community settings. There are a number of stores in the department the two largest being at the Northern General and Royal Hallamshire Hospitals. The department is responsible for the servicing and management of over 50,000 medical devices.

Prepare and co-ordinate meeting agendas, papers, rooms, and facilities for project or programme meetings, workshops, engagement meetings or other sessions. This will include virtual as well as face to face meetings;
Attend project or programme meetings and accurately capture minutes and/or actions where required. The post holder will be expected to keep action trackers updated which may involve following up with colleagues internally;
To support the QI programme by arranging the training sessions, maintaining the database and coordination;
Work collaboratively with Executive Assistants, senior leaders and improvement leads to coordinate, schedule and support the delivery of the Trust's Morning Improvement Huddles, including identifying speakers, managing forward plans and ensuring appropriate leadership representation and content for each session;
Support the meeting holder by assisting with meeting facilitation for the participation of the attending group members;
To create and maintain project documentation for a number of projects including project plans, GANTT charts, risk registers and action trackers;
Work with members of the team and key stakeholders to investigate the causes of any variance from plan/ delivery of targets and contribute to the implementation solutions;
Support Transformation and Improvement Managers, Leads and Officers with updating the Trust risk registers and raising any concerns with risk management;
Assist Transformation and Improvement Managers, Leads, and Officers with financial management by updating financial trackers;
Produce/draft other documents as required, including reports, narratives, template documents, spreadsheets and presentations using MS Office, ensuring work is of a high quality;
Collect, collate, analyse and evaluate data and information relating to projects and/or programmes. The post holder is expected to present such information in a clear and understandable way;
Escalate issues or barriers to project delivery to Transformation and Improvement Managers, Leads and Officers with resolutions where required;
Liaise between the Transformation and Improvement Managers, Leads and Officers with the Trust Communications Team when necessary. For example, communicating major disruptions or system changes;
Assist system administrators with the access requests and training of users.
Undertake and maintain Loggist training and competency to support the Trust's Major Incident and Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) arrangements, acting as a Loggist during incidents, exercises and business continuity events as required.
