We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will will support the lead pharmacist to deliver Clinical Pharmacy in General Practice, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver medication optimisation initiatives and contribute to improving the quality of care for patients. The candidate will help patients to get the most from their medicines through effective medicines reconciliation, optimising use of electronic repeat dispensing, assurance of monitoring of high risk medication, audit and quality improvement schemes
Main duties of the job
- Conduct medication reviews and medicines reconciliation to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues.
- Provide patient education and counselling on medication use, including but not limited to inhaler technique, side effects, and storage.
- Support medication adherence initiatives, such as dose administration aids and reminder systems.
- Participate in medication review clinics and other patient-centred activities.
- Support achievement of QOF
- Provide training and support to prescription clerks/administration staff
- Process prescriptions efficiently and accurately
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services within the practice and PCN.
- Stay informed about current best practices and developments in medicines optimisation.

Job summary
The main chemotherapy unit plus our teenage/young adult area are based within the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. We also offer a community based service at two satellite centres in Bristol - one in South Bristol Community Hospital in Hengrove, and the other in Concord Medical Centre in Bradley Stoke. Staff will be expected to work between the main unit at BHOC and at least one of the satellite units.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and experienced candidate to join our team as a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse. We open 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday across all of our sites. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals receiving systemic anti-cancer treatments in a busy outpatient setting.
Main duties of the job
As a senior member of the nursing team you will be responsible for coordinating the day to day running of the unit, ensuring the safe delivery of SACT in line with national and local policies. You will act as a clinical role model, providing leadership, support and supervision to junior staff while promoting a culture of continuous learning, quality improvement and compassionate care. You will deliver complex patient care, manage unwell patients and treatment-related toxicities, provide patient education and support, and contribute to service expansion and development.
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with post-registration experience in oncology/haematology or chemotherapy services, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding care. UK SACT competency and experience in mentoring or supervising staff are essential for this role.
