Job summary
The post holder deputises for the Senior Nurse, ensuring the effective running of the department in his/her absence. Working closely with the Senior Nurse and the Associate Director of Nursing, the Junior Sister/charge nurse is responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care to meet patient needs according to the standard agreed in the Performance Management Framework and the Nursing Strategy.
In addition, the post holder is responsible for providing clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff, facilitating practice development within the clinical area. The post holder will also be involved in developing services related to area of practice such as nurse led sedation services, IV access and out of hours' service provision.
To provide and maintain the highest standard of individualised and holistic patient care within the Interventional radiology department and in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
To assist in the delivery of patient care, pre, peri-op and post procedure of diagnostics and/or interventional procedures.

Main duties of the job
- To ensure that the care delivered to patients is a result of individual assessment of their need using an appropriate assessment framework and actively seek consent in the delivery of such care.
- Collaborating with the Senior Sister and ADN, develop care pathways, clinical practice guidelines and protocols in line with National Service Frameworks, Department of Health guidance and the National Institute of Clinical Excellence to facilitate delivery of care which is best practice.
- To actively encourage application of Essence of Care (DOH 2001) benchmarks to daily practice and in the delivery of care to patients.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise by regularly practicing alongside the nursing team delivering hands on care, using highly developed physical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- To encourage creative, innovative practice that positively impacts on patient care.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Promote the mental, physical and emotional and social health of individuals, families and groups.
2. Provide a high standard of care to individuals and families.

4. Be an effective member of a Nursing Team working within the community directorate .
5. To be responsible for the caseload management and supervision of the nursing team, in the absenceof the District Nurse/ Caseload Holder.

We require a part time Receptionist/Clerical Officer for 16 hours per week as follows:Shirley Clinic - All day Mondays & Tuesdays - 8.30 - 5pm.
The post holder will be required to contribute to the smooth running of the base by providing clerical support to the Service Administrator and clinical services within the building.
The post is part of a broader clerical team; therefore, the successful candidate will be required to work at other Croydon clinics to cover staff absences. Flexibility and a helpful can do attitude are therefore essential.
Main duties of the job
The reception/clerical team is the first point of contact for patients and members of the public, contractors and staff. You will be responsible for accurately support and checking of 'mechanical medical devices' e.g patient trollies, medical gas appliances and further low level equipment but with a view for development. Job summary
This is a locum appointment for 12 months that contains 10 Programmed Activities per week, delivering a fixed weekly timetable across two sites (Croydon University hospital and Kings College hospital/Denmark Hill), including catheter laboratory EP & Devices lists, EP clinics arrhythmia MDTs and ward cover. There will be an average of 8.5 Programmed Activities of Direct Clinical Care with the remainder being allocated for Supporting Professional Activities (3 PAs at KCH and 7 PAs at CUH).
The successful applicant will be asked to participate in the EP on-call rota for Kings College Hospital (currently 1:6) and will also take part in consultant of the week inpatient ward cover in Croydon University Hospital (1:10weeks).
The post holder will be a fully trained and independent Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist. The individual will be able to perform outpatient clinics independently, run catheter laboratory electrophysiology and device lists for investigation and treatment of patients with arrhythmias and participate in the consultant of the week (at CUH) and arrhythmia on call (KCH) rotas. The proposed job plan is attached.

Job summary
Croydon University Hospital (CUH) plans to appoint a Upper GI Surgery Registrar in General Surgery. This post is a middle-grade fixed term position for an initial period of 12 months.
The postholder will participate in a resident full shift pattern 1-in-12 middle-grade on-call rota covering General Surgery, including 12-hour day and night shifts, and including the provision of care for ambulatory surgical patients.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will be expected to integrate within and work alongside the team of existing consultants in the General Surgery departments, as well as work within multidisciplinary teams including healthcare professionals. The candidate will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of day-to-day General Surgery services. These include daily ward rounds, review of inpatient referrals, outpatient clinics and theatre lists under the supervision of the General Surgery Consultants.
Essential criteria for the post include full GMC registration, MRCS qualification and previous experience of working within the NHS. This does not include clinical attachments. Applicants without these criteria will not be considered and need not apply. Previous experience in General Surgery and working at middle-grade level are desirable.
This post is not an approved postgraduate training programme under the auspices of Health Education England (HEE). However, post-holders can be supported with aspirations for both CESR qualification and FRCS examination on request.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Patient Pathway Coordinator to join the Gastroenterology and Hepatology team within POD 3.
As our services continue to evolve, with new and innovative pathways being introduced across Hepatology and Liver services, we are seeking a motivated and organised individual to play a key role in supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey.
The successful post holder will work predominantly with the Hepatology and Liver team, while also providing administrative support across the wider Gastroenterology service as required.

The Acute Paediatric Liaison Health Visitor is a Registered Nurse with Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visitor) qualification who works within the acute hospital setting at Croydon University Hospital.

There is an automated Serology track system and a specialised Molecular service including high throughput analysers.

Main duties of the job
Demonstrate clinical expertise by delivering hands on care, using highly developed physical, analytical and problem-solving skills, in line with research and evidence based practice.
The post holder will liaise with the nursing staff on the Acute Stroke Unit at Croydon University Hospital and the local hyper acute stroke units to ensure appropriate and timely transfer of care into the Community.
The post holder will be expected to work unsupervised in a variety of settings including the patient's own home, Croydon University Hospital and other community settings as required.
To ensure that the care delivered to patients is a result of individual assessment of their need using an appropriate assessment framework and actively seek consent in the delivery of such care.
In conjunction with the MDT, be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of care for patients with multiple needs who require complex case management
