Operating Department Orderly - Band 2
We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and compassionate Operating Department Orderly to join our friendly and dynamic theatre department at Croydon University Hospital. We care for a diverse patient population, and this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly-skilled, multi-disciplinary team within our modern theatre complex. This comprises of 12 theatre Elective Unit, a 4-theatre emergency unit and 3 Recovery units. As an operating department orderly, you will play a key role in supporting the safe, effective, and high-quality care we provide, assisting the clinical team and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the theatre environment. Main duties of the job
1. Collecting and returning patients between wards, associated departments and theatres,ensuring their safety and dignity is maintained.2. Assisting in the lifting and transferring of patients, ensuring their safety and dignity ismaintained.3. Assisting in the positioning of patients in theatre and the anaesthetic rooms as appropriate,ensuring their safety and dignity is maintained.4. Collection, transportation and scanning of routine and emergency blood units into and outof theatre.5. Transportation and delivery of routine and emergency blood gas specimens.6. Transportation and delivery of routine and urgent histopathology specimens, includingurgent frozen sections.7. Collection and delivery of equipment and operating sets between departments ensuring nodamage or de-sterilization occurs.8. Collection and delivery of property boxes from various departments.9. Checking and changing of cylinders used for patient transfer, on patient trolleys and ontheatre equipment.10.Cleaning and preparation of theatre trolleys, checking they are in good working order.11.Cleaning theatre and anaesthetic room floors as required.12.Cleaning of high areas within theatres, anaesthetic rooms and associated areas to ensuremeeting of Infection Control and Health & Safety standards.13.Cleaning and inspection of allocated corridors and associated areas to ensure meeting ofInfection Control and Health and Safety standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Occupational Therapy Neuro Rehab rotation, within the wider Integrated Neuro therapy services at Croydon Healthcare services NHS Trust.
We are looking for an individual with neuro experience and a keen interest in Neuro rehabilitation to join the Integrated neuro therapy team in Croydon.
The successful candidate will provide a range of specialised OT interventions to patients with neurological conditions, enabling them to maximise their independence. The post holder is an autonomous practitioner but will work under the supervision of a Band 7 Occupational therapist and will be expected to work in a variety of settings including Broad Green Centre, the patient's own home, other community settings and Croydon University Hospital, as required within the rotations.
Croydon provides a unique experience to work as part of an Integrated care organisation. The Integrated Neuro Therapy Service provides high quality rehabilitation for patients across the whole pathway and we are constantly looking to see how we can improve the patient experience.

Main duties of the job
The rotations are:
Stroke unit : Working on the 26 bedded Acute Stroke unit at Croydon University Hospital(CUH) as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing in-patient rehabilitation for people who have had a stroke
Community Stroke Rehab Team: This multidisciplinary team is based at the Broad Green Centre and facilitates the discharge of patients from Croydon University Hospital and local Hyper Acute Stroke Units, who have had a Stroke. Rehabilitation is provided in the patients' home for up to 6 weeks, enabling them to achieve their rehabilitation potential.
Community Neuro Rehab Team: This multidisciplinary team is based at the Broad Green Centre, providing centre based or home/work based therapy. You will be supporting adults with a wide variety of neurological conditions, including Stroke, MS and Brain Injury. Therapy is provided in individual and group sessions.
Croydon Acute Neuro Service: This team provides in patient rehabilitation for people who have been admitted to Croydon university hospital, with neurological problems, other than stroke.
The successful candidate will be supervised and supported by an experienced Band 7 OT in each rotation and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in neurorehabilitation. We have an exciting opportunity for Health Visitor ANS/OR School Nurse SCPHN to be part of the new integrated Public Health Nursing 0-19 Service.
The SCPHN practitioner will work as part of a Team in one of the three localities across Croydondelivering the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) to either the 0-5's or the 5-19's. This will include working in partnership with all the Public Health 0-19 Nursing team, service users, professional networks and stake holders to provide Commissioned Services to meet Key Performance Indicators

1. To promote expert, individualised patient centred clinical care for clients with compromised skin integrity and pressure ulcers by using evidence based practice for the population of Croydon Health Services (CHS). Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Chief Nurse, the Deputy Chief Nurse (DCN)/Director of Nursing will support the development and delivery of the Trust's Nursing and Midwifery Strategy, working with the Chief Nurse and other deputies to ensure delivery of agreed objectives, quality standards and resource controls.
The post holder will provide strategic and professional leadership across nursing and midwifery, driving excellence in clinical practice, professional standards, leadership development and workforce capacity. They will provide expert advice on nursing matters to the Chief Nurse and contribute to the delivery of Clinical Board and Trust-wide priorities.
The Director of Nursing will be accountable for ensuring consistently high and safe standards of nursing care across all clinical services, including community nursing. Working with the Deputy Director of Nursing and Assistant Directors of Nursing, they will develop and implement strategies, policies and improvement programmes, using performance and outcome measures to assure quality, safety and effectiveness.
The post holder will lead the development of nursing clinical practice and monitor nursing outcomes through established performance management processes, driving continuous improvement in patient safety, quality and experience.
The Director of Nursing will deputise for the Chief Nurse as required, providing senior leadership and support to the wider nursing leadership team with a high degree of autonomy.

This will include protected time for training in the implantation and follow-up of simple and complex cardiac devices. (Pacemakers including conduction system pacing, ICDs, subcutaneous ICDs, CRTs). It is anticipated that the post-holder will become independent in cardiac device implantation after undertaking this post.
The Complex Cardiac Devices Service commenced 14 years ago and has grown significantly in that time into an established service with a dedicated "Devices Team" comprising doctors, cardiac physiologists and specialist arrhythmia nurses. The post holder will be integral to delivering and supporting the ongoing expansion and development of the devices and arrhythmia services working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy department. Of the five Devices Fellow post-holders since inception of the service, two have gone on to acquire a Consultant Post and all others have been successful in acquiring a SpR NTN in Cardiology.
Main duties of the job
Inpatient care: Participating in the general cardiology on call rota. Managing the care of CCU and cardiac zone patients. Reviewing inpatient referrals. The on-call Consultant performs a daily ward round and is always available for advice and to review patients.
Outpatient care: General arrhythmia and electrophysiology outpatient clinics under Consultant supervision. As part of the Devices Team the post-holder will also be expected to support the Cardiac Physiologists and Arrhythmia Specialist Nurses in troubleshooting/resolving any technical or clinical problems.
Catheterisation lab: Simple and Complex Device implantation is currently undertaken by 5 consultant operators. The dedicated days for simple and complex device implantation in the main Cath Lab are every Thursday and most Wednesdays. There is also an additional Pacing Theatre within the Cath Lab Suite where ILR implantation.
Multidisciplinary team meetings: To contribute to the weekly arrhythmia multidisciplinary clinical meeting.
Audit and Clinical Governance.: The post-holder will be expected to participate in clinical audit and comply with Clinical Governance.
Teaching and Research: The post holder may wish to participate in both formal and informal teaching. Since 2017, we have established a Cardiac Devices Research programme at CUH and we are actively recruiting patients into ongoing cardiac device trials. The post holder will have the opportunity to initiate and carry out research.

The RTT Service Manager is the Trust's senior operational lead for the delivery of all 18-week Referral-to-Treatment (RTT) standards and associated elective access performance. Main duties of the job
