We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable clinicians to join us as CAMHS Community High Intensity CBT Practitioner Trainees. This is a unique opportunity to undertake a fully funded Postgraduate Diploma in Evidence Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (CBT Route) while gaining valuable clinical experience within a progressive and forward-thinking mental health service. The role is designed to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills required to deliver evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions to children, young people and their families.

CYPMH Dorset: A Service in Transformation

Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH) Dorset is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation. Through significant new investment, we are developing and expanding our services in line with the i-THRIVE Framework, creating more responsive, accessible and needs-led support for children, young people and families across Dorset.

As our transformation programme progresses, this role will evolve alongside the service. Successful candidates will initially support existing teams from a temporary base during the transition period, before becoming part of our future service model. All posts are pan-Dorset, and candidates should be prepared to work flexibly as services continue to expand, including the introduction of extended operational hours in the future.

Main duties of the job

About the Training Programme

Successful candidates will undertake a 12-month Postgraduate Diploma in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (CBT Route) at the University of Exeter. The programme combines academic study with supervised clinical practice, preparing trainees to deliver High Intensity CBT for children and young people experiencing anxiety, depression and related mental health difficulties. Trainees will usually spend two days per week in university teaching and three days working within CYPMH services, developing a supervised clinical caseload and applying their learning in practice. Some teaching may be delivered online. Throughout the programme, trainees will provide evidence-based interventions within a stepped-care model and receive regular clinical supervision and support. The course is BABCP Level 2 accredited and, on successful completion, trainees will be eligible to apply for BABCP Provisional Accreditation.

Following qualification, there may be opportunities to progress into a structured Preceptorship Programme, offering enhanced supervision, peer support, protected development opportunities and a managed caseload to support the transition into autonomous practice. Subject to successful completion and organisational requirements, this would typically lead to progression into a permanent Band 7 CBT Therapist role.

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced mental health professionals to join our Core CAMHS teams as Duty Practitioners on an 18-month fixed-term contract. Full-time opportunities (37.5 hours per week) are available within our teams in Bournemouth, Poole, and North and East Dorset.

As a CAMHS Duty Practitioner, you will provide timely assessment, risk management and support for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties. We are seeking a Clinical Team leader to join Harbour Ward at St Ann's Hospital. This is a leadership role with great opportunities to demonstrate your knowledge and abilities, whilst continually improving services and providing hands on care to service users.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Team Leaders undertake a dual clinical and leadership role, acting as a deputy for the Ward Manager.

They play a key role in the day-to-day management of ward; are a main point of contact for advice/decisions and will support, supervise and manage staff.

Job summary

You will be working within Bournemouth East Collaborative Primary Care Network (PCN) as a first contact Mental Health Triage Practitioner, to triage Patients who contact their Practice with Mental Health as a primary concern.

The purpose is to offer a focused telephone triage assessment to determine the next steps for the patient and provide facilitated access to the relevant service and, where relevant, connect the patient to valued community resources.

You will work as an integral part of the PCN Mental Health team alongside the Mental Health Practitioners and MH lead GPs and develop close working relationships with Reception teams, GP's and other staff within the PCN, and be a valued member of the primary care team.

The aim of the role is to reduce response times for the patient, to reduce inappropriate referrals and to reduce pressures on GPs. You will accurately and efficiently manage all administrative processes in a timely manner, using PCN systems.

We would consider part time working from 24 hours per week up to fulltime 37.5 hours per week.

This role is based at Southbourne Surgery . However, you may be required to travel between PCN/DHC sites.

Main duties of the job

To act as a 'first contact mental health triage worker', using a person centred approach, undertake focused assessments, where appropriate, and utilising the PCN Mental Health pathway. This is a telephone based role.

To support people in primary care settings, working in a collaborative and multi-agency way to meet the needs of people with a range of mental health needs.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, both internal to, and external from, the PCN where appropriate.

To offer mental health signposting for people presenting to their practices with a range of mild to moderate mental health needs.

To offer navigation to a range of specialist mental health support across the community system to ensure that, once assessed, each person receives the best possible care in the right place at the right time by the right supporting service (Access Wellbeing, Help and Care, Steps2wellbeing, Dorset Mind services, Counselling, GP, etc).

Ensure that patients have high quality information and are signposted to interventions and appropriate clinicians/organisations to support them in their health and wellbeing and to motivate them to engage with their recovery.

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to work nights only? Join our Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service Community Night Nursing team!

As a community night nurse, you will be delivering face to face care to adults who have been referred to the team by patients and their relatives/carers or Health Care professionals.

Main duties of the job

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our service as a part-time (6 PA) Consultant Psychiatrist in Learning Disability Psychiatry, as part of the reconfiguration of Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability (Learning Disability) provision within the Community Learning Disability Teams in Dorset.

As the consultant psychiatrist you'll provide a community psychiatry service for adults with learning disabilities across the Purbeck and Ferndown areas. The role does not include epilepsy management, which is provided by the specialist Dorset Epilepsy Service within the Neurology service.

You will be supported by experienced colleagues in Learning Disability Psychiatry and will work as part of a well-established, integrated Community Learning Disability Team, with additional support from the Intensive Support Team. You'll contribute to weekly IST review meetings and the wider development of community-based Learning Disability services.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of community-based Learning Disability services, working collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities across Dorset.

Main duties of the job

You'll provide psychiatric leadership, assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with learning disabilities, alongside psychiatric input to patients supported by the IST. Clinical work will be a combination of clinics and home visits. The role includes medical cross-cover for annual, study and emergency sick leave with Consultant colleagues across the adult Learning Disability service.

We offer a £10,000 Recruitment & Retention Payment, paid monthly during your first year in post, alongside a relocation package of up to £10,000if you are relocating to Dorset. You'll also benefit from flexible working, excellent NHS benefits, 10 days' study leave and an annual study budget of up to £1,000 - supporting you both professionally and personally.

You'll be offered the opportunity to participate in the county-wide senior on-call rota, which attracts a 3% on call availability supplement plus 0.75 APA per week. The on-call frequency is approximately 1 in 21.

You will have a keen interest for Older Persons inpatient medical and rehab along with stroke neuro rehabilitation.

In return you will have access to our network of ACP's who are available to support you. The Trust is also implementing a programme of comprehensive changes relating to advance practice including supervision and ongoing development. This ACP post is a full-time role, which will cover weekdays and bank holidays which can be discussed further at interview.

This is a full time post of 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job are to plan and manage complete episodes of care; undertake independent comprehensive assessment, formulate an impression / diagnosis and management plan for service users to incorporate pharmacological considerations; making complex clinical decisions regarding service user management and clinical outcomes.

Undertake comprehensive specialist holistic assessment of patients and carers where needs are highly complex. This involves planning, implementing and evaluating the care delivery according to changing healthcare needs and varying degrees of clinical risk.

Advise and communicate as appropriate with acute hospitals, primary and social care and community teams thus ensuring seamless continuity and transfer (if appropriate) of care for patients between other relevant health, social and third sector agencies, professionals and care settings.

Undertake audits and service evaluations to inform service improvement using evidence-based approaches to draw on best practice.

Job summary

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker? The Dorchester Psychiatric Liaison service are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Liaison Psychiatry Practitioner to join their well-established supportive team.

As a Practitioner you will assess patients referred from a variety of sources including the Emergency Department and wards within the hospital. Patients seen may present with mental health problems, self harm, or a psychiatric crisis. You will also work with patients presenting with psychosomatic disorders as well as a variety of psychological issues relating to a physical disorder.

You will need to be confident in your risk assessment skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the legislation, polices and guidance which underpin our clinical practice. You will be required to work autonomously, therefore clinical skills and experience relating to crisis management and assessment are essential.

You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be required to work affectively with both the multidisciplinary team, our acute colleagues based in the general hospital, other mental health services and external supporting agencies.

This post is a full-time role, we would accept part time applications and can be flexible. The service is 24/7 with shift patterns which include weekends, nights, and public holidays.

By joining Liaison Psychiatry as a Practitioner you will be offered a comprehensive induction period before starting in the role and be part of a continued developing service. We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Specialist Mental Health Nurse, to work in the Boscombe East Collaborative Primary Care Network which comprises of GP Practices based in Bournemouth. Main duties of the job

This practitioner role will provide targeted care according to the needs of the population by supporting the PCN clinical strategy, including prescribing medication inline with your scope of practice and primary care guidance.

The practitioner will facilitate onward access to other secondary care-based services, third sector services and link in with existing support services via the Primary Care Network.

Are you an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who is looking to work in a dedicated team? An opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Psychology Service within Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. The job is based with Bournemouth East CMHT, Kings Park Hospital.

As a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist you will be solely accountable and responsible for the direct delivery of psychological services to adults with significant mental illness/disorder. The Community Vaccination Service is looking for a team player and experienced Nurse to deliver the Covid vaccination program to housebound patients and care homes Pan Dorset, whilst also providing support to the School Age Immunisation team as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Immunisation Nurse to support the management of the Community Vaccination Service (CVS).The CVS team is part of the Integrated Vaccination Service and provides all school age children in Dorset their immunisations as per theUK Health Security Agency schedule, alongside this the service also provides Covid vaccines to the housebound and care home residents ofDorset.

Vaccinations are the safest and most effective way of protecting individuals and communities from vaccine preventable diseases. Working for the Community Vaccination Service allows for you to work as part of a team supporting and promoting the importance of vaccines who arepassionate to protect this age group and offering support to the Integrated Vaccination Service across the Trust.

You will be supporting the management of a team of nurses and administrators on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all clinics and sessions are staffed appropriately and safely. The role will be based pan Dorset, with a base of Kings Park Hospital, Bournemouth.

Main duties of the job

A Part Time vacancy of 22.5 hours per week, Term time only. The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Job summary

This post is a fixed contract is designed for newly qualified GPHC registrants to gain hands on clinical experience across mental health and community hospitals.

The post will initially be based at St Ann's but providing clinical service to other hospital sites will follow on experience.

This is a part time post of 18.75 hours per week on a fixed term contract.

Main duties of the job

To be part of the Dorset HealthCare Medicines Team (DHMT) providing clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation support to patients in the inpatient and patient home setting.

Provide clinical pharmacy support to community and mental health inpatient beds within Dorset HealthCare working closely with the clinicians covering these beds.

Using pharmaceutical expertise, to clinically review all prescription charts following admission of patients to the post-holder's allocated wards/units, ensuring patients are prescribed safe and effective medication. This includes monitoring all prescription charts (paper and electronic) to ensure safe, legal and evidence based prescribing takes place - and safe accurate administration - including clinical screening for drug interactions, overdoses or inappropriate prescribing e.g. renal, liver, cardiac impaired or pregnant patients.

To support the pharmacy technicians and ward/unit staff to ensure that adequate ward/unit pharmacy stock levels are maintained on allocated wards and to regularly review and adjust levels if necessary depending on prescribing trends.

To compile a drug history where possible from patients admitted to Trust services to ensure continuity of their medication and records relevant information in order to facilitate the discharge process.

CYPMH Dorset is entering an exciting period of growth and development, supported by new investment and a strong commitment to transforming how children and young people access mental health support.

As the Team Manager you will provide operational leadership within CAMHS I-Thrive services, delivering care across Getting Help, Getting More Help, and the Integrated Front Door. We are offering a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapy role within the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy service; this role will be based at Weymouth Community Hospital, covering Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Bridport and surrounding areas. The post holder will be responsible for providing a community clinical service. You will be supported by Band 6 and Band 7 therapists and there will be opportunity to work with SLT assistants and other therapists within our service.

There is potentially the opportunity to work collaboratively with the Dorset Stroke and Neuro speech and language therapy team.

We offer plenty of CPD opportunities, and regular supervision, including peer supervision with other Band 5's across the county.

Main duties of the job

The service sees patients in their own home, video call appointments, in clinics and in Community Hospital settings. As a member of the Team you will be expected to work collaboratively with the other team members to manage the locality caseload as needed.
