The Westminster Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cook/Head Chef who is passionate about food and wants to make a difference.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye on detail.

As Senior Cook/Head Chef, you will have full operational and financial responsibility for the hospitals catering facility, leading the team to deliver the highest quality of food and service to 26 in-patients, as well as our staff and members of the public in our friendly hospital caf.

You must be able to work flexibly as part of a rota including working weekends and bank holidays.

Two week working rota 27 hours per week

week 1 Sunday 7am to 3pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 7am to 2pm

week 2

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7am to 2pm and Saturday 7am to 3pm

Dorset Healthcare Estates and Facilities Directorate are looking to appoint two conscientious and self-motivated Estates Maintenance Mechanical Technical Specialists.

The team, which are based at our new office and workshop facilities in Wareham, deliver pre-planned maintenance and repair services to a variety of Trust premises across Dorset, including Community Hospitals, Health Centres, Mental Health Units and Administrative Buildings.

Working closely with colleagues in the building and electrical operational teams, as well as the Estates Leadership, Compliance, and Minor New Works teams, the Estates Maintenance Mechanical Technical Specialists will apply installation, maintenance, technical diagnosis and fault-finding skills to a range of equipment.

The work is varied, physical, and often challenging, and candidates should ideally have previous experience in a demanding maintenance environment and can be flexible in their approach to work.

A programme of professional development training is in place, that will support a person's progression toward reaching a Competent Person qualification in one or more mechanical disciplines.

The Estates Maintenance Mechanical Technical Specialist post comes with an on-call allowance currently at 4.5%, NHS Pension, 27 days leave per year plus bank holidays, flexible working arrangements, overtime paid at premium rates, a tracked vehicle (for business use only), work wear and all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Provide a technical diagnostic and fault-finding service on plant and equipment.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide exceptional care to young people aged between 13 and 18 years experiencing complex mental health. You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your engagement that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post. This is a five-day course and must be passed to work within our in-patient settings.

You will be part of an innovative and forward-thinking team and make a real impact on the lives of young people.

You will have the opportunity to attend training courses and participate in personal development training as identified by the line manager.

Make accurate records of patient observations, including data entry to the RiO patient records computer system. You will report any complaints by young people, families and carers to the trained staff on duty.

Other duties appropriate to the role which may be requested from time to time by the nurse in charge.

Job summary

Join our dedicated Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team and help transform the lives of young people experiencing a first episode of psychosis. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and recovery-focused Practitioner to provide high-quality assessment, care coordination, and therapeutic support within a specialist multidisciplinary community mental health service.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and partner agencies to deliver evidence-based interventions that promote recovery, social inclusion, and improved wellbeing. You will manage a caseload, contribute to risk assessment and care planning, and support individuals to achieve their personal goals in education, employment, relationships, and independent living.

The successful candidate will have experience working within mental health services, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of recovery-oriented practice. You may come from a nursing, social work, occupational therapy background and will be committed to delivering person-centred care in line with national EIP standards.

You will be provided with excellent individual and team supervision and support.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for a defined caseload of patients, age 14-65 years with regular supervision and guidance from a designated supervisor.

You will ensure compliance with approved Trust clinical nursing policies/procedures and the Trust's supervision policy and with the Mental Health Act (1983) and Mental Capacity Act regulations/procedures and Code of Practice.

You will be personally responsible and professionally accountable for a service user caseload within the community, focusing on service users with or suspected of having a First Episode Psychosis (FEP). To provide high quality care and treatment in conjunction with other professionals through the Trust's agreed multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment care programmes.

You will participate as an active member of the multi-disciplinary Early Intervention Service team in developing high quality and innovative services to service users with First Episode Psychosis.

Job summary

As the Transfer of Care Hub Clinician, you will provide a consistent presence within the acute settings, Poole and Bournemouth Hospital on behalf of Dorset HealthCare for the Transfer of Care hub.

You will be responsible for clinically triaging referrals sent to single point of access (SPA) within Dorset Healthcare Trust and liaising with all teams involved in planning discharges and agreeing patient pathways.Although you will not be delivering clinical duties you will be vital in decision making to ensure safe, effective discharges across Dorset.

This is a Full-Time post of 37.5 hours. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

Your role will involve liaising with patients and families on the ward when needed to expedite discharges and support the multi-disciplinary team as part of complex discharge planning

You will work closely with the pathway leads, acute hospital teams, social workers and community providers to ensure patients have a smooth transition onto the correct pathway contributing towards discharge and flow across the system.

To be the consistent presence within the acute hospital for the Transfer of care hub and be responsible for liaising with the acute hospital teams, providers and other services in planning discharges and agreeing patient pathways.

To triage referrals sent to SPA working with the central SPA team and liaise with Patients and Families on the wards where needed to expedite discharges.
