As a School Nurse within the Essex Child & Family Wellbeing Service youll join a team who are focused on clinical excellence and who recently received a Good CQC rating.
Main Responsibility
As a School Nurse, youll join a Healthy Family Team who are focused on clinical excellence. Your days will be rewarding and variedand include offering support to children and families and empowering them to reach their full potential.
- There is a Healthy Family Team located within every District of Essex and is made up of a Multi-disciplinary team, including Health Visitors, School Nurses, Family Wellbeing Nurses and additional colleagues who work together to provide family support.
- As a School Nurse, you will work alongside SCPHN School Nurses and be responsible for the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, including assessment of health needs, development, implementation, and evaluation of packages of care.
- You will work as a team to offer every family a universal School Nursing services to support aspects of a child/Young persons development and health from Transition into School up to the age of 19 (25 for SEND).
- You will provide leadership and act as positive role model by supporting colleagues and demonstrating excellent standards of care.
- You will undertake mentorship responsibilities for pre-registration students whilst on placement within the service and provide preceptorship to support new staff members.
- You will be supported to do this by our Practice Education team. SCPHN training is available after 1 year in post.Regular safeguarding supervision will be provided along with opportunities for continued professional development.
Ideal Candidate
- You will have aNursing or Midwifery qualification and experience of working with children and young people, along with a passion and drive to help ensure that children have the best possible start in life.

Job summary
As part of the Provide's multi-disciplinary children and family services, we provide a comprehensive paediatric physiotherapy service for children from birth to 25 years of age who present with developmental concerns.

Completing holistic assessments that include all housing factors impacting on the individual and their household.

Essex Sexual Health Service (ESHS) is the sexual health provider in Essex, led by Provide Community and commissioned by Essex County Council.
The post holder will work as part of the outreach and education team, with a focus on the delivery of relationship, sex and health education. This includes the delivery of education directly to young people through tailored support and small group work as well as training to upskill educational staff and other professionals supporting young people.

Main duties of the job
