Job summary
Are you organised, enthusiastic and motivated, with a passion for delivering excellent patient care? We are looking for a dedicated Medical Secretary to join our friendly practice team.
This is a varied and rewarding role, working closely with our clinical and Administration team to provide essential secretarial and administrative support and help ensure the smooth running of our practice.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating patient referrals, completing Advice and Guidance requests, maintaining referral records and processing correspondence. You will also provide administrative support across the practice, working closely with colleagues to deliver a professional and efficient service.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will be a positive team player who is approachable, flexible, respects confidentiality and is keen to learn and develop.

Main duties of the job
- Deal with all aspects of referrals, working with the clinicians and Administration teams
- Ensure all referrals are sent within the timeline the referral is requested.
- To complete all Advice and Guidance for clinicians
- Maintain a referral data base and support audits on referrals.
- To provide administrative support and services to all members of the practice team including reception.
- Follows the company standards for ethical business conduct
- Conducts self as a positive role model and team member
- Supports the company ideology, mission, goals, and objectives
- Performs in accordance with the company policies and procedures
- Recognises patients rights and responsibilities
- Participates in company, meetings, in training and other activities

Job responsibilities
To work closely with the clinical and Administration Team, providing secretarial and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of patient referrals, ensuring they are processed within the required timescales.
- Complete Advice and Guidance requests on behalf of clinicians.
- Maintain referral databases and support referral audits.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to all members of the practice team.
