The Radiology Directorate is part of the Diagnostic and Clinical Support Services Division. The directorate provides a diagnostic imaging service to inpatients and outpatient services across two sites: Countess of Chester Hospital and Ellesmere Port Hospital. In addition, the department provides a GP direct access service for plain film, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. The Trust is also the South of Mersey Vascular centre (SMart Centre) providing a networked vascular service for Chester, Warrington and Wirral patients.
The Countess of Chester Hospital has consistently invested within the Radiology department and has ensured that the environment and the equipment meet the needs of a modern, changing diagnostic service. Our latest developments being, our replacement Interventional Radiology suite with built in floor space for future expansion and our new state of the art cardiac CT scanner.
The Countess of Chester site has 3 CT scanners (1 cardiac scanner) and 2 1.5T MRI scanners. The department has a suite of ultrasound scanners. The general department is fully digital, including wireless portable equipment. The department performs approximately 15,500 MRI scans, 30,000 CT scans, 2,000 Interventional procedures and 31,000 ultrasound scans per year.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to integrate into the team of existing Consultants to provide a complete diagnostic service including the reporting of MSK, CT, MRI, ultrasound and plain films.
This is a full-time position but candidates wishing to work part-time or in a job share are encouraged to apply. If a part-time or job share person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed with the appointee on a personal basis to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

As an ENT Nurse Practitioner with InHealth, you will provide expert, patient-centred care within our community ENT service across Greater Manchester. We are seeking a highly motivated cardiac physiologist specialising in echocardiography to join our friendly and dynamic team, providing high standards of care and support to patients in Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Our echo services deliver both transthoracic echocardiography and complex echocardiography techniques such as transoesophageal echo, dobutamine and exercise stress echocardiography and contrast echo.
The work schedule is varied providing services to inpatients, outpatients, GP direct access and one stop cardiac clinics. We also run valve surveillance clinics, host adult congenital heart disease clinics and support training of our future echocardiographers and medical training grades. We also offer a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations including pacemaker services, exercise testing, angiography, and ambulatory monitoring.
Main duties of the job
This job suits a competent and autonomous echocardiographer holding BSE adult transthoracic accreditation. The main duties are to perform and report echo's for the range of patients seen in the diagnostic service. We pride ourselves in having a supportive multidisciplinary team. - Accredited degree relevant to the role (e.g., BSc in Audiology, Cardiac Physiology, Clinical Engineering, Neurophysiology, Medical Physics, Respiratory Physiology) and Registration with AHCS or RCT within 3 months of appointment. OR Equivalent knowledge and experience at BSc level (with or without a related degree) and Progression through AHCS/RCT Practitioner Training Programme equivalence scheme (PTPE) and Registration within 24 months of appointment.
