Job summary
SDH Developments Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, provides pharmacy services to patients and visitors attending the Outpatients Department at Torbay Hospital. These services continue to develop, and we are now looking for a pharmacy technician who is qualified or prepared to train as an accuracy checking technician to join our team.
In this role you will dispense medicines for patients. In addition, you will undertake related duties including ordering and receipt of stock, and be involved in the provision of an efficient and effective 'front of house' service for customers, including the sale of medicines. Accuracy Checking Technicians will also be required to undertake a final accuracy check on prescriptions.
You will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills, and be an effective team player.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is recognised at a national level as a progressive and successful organisation. The primary objectives of this outpatient pharmacy are to improve patient safety, improve the patient experience, and to allow further investment in healthcare facilities in South Devon.
Main duties of the job
- As an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician you will dispense medicines for patients.
- In addition, you will undertake related duties including ordering and receipt of stock, and be involved in the provision of an efficient and effective 'front of house' service for customers, including the sale of medicines. You will also need to provide support in the day to day operation of the pharmacy.
- Accuracy Checking Technicians will also be required to undertake a final accuracy check on prescriptions.

Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking pharmacist with experience in Neurosurgery to join our pharmacy team. You will work as part of the neurosciences pharmacy team to provide pharmacy services to The Walton Centre, a specialist Trust which provides tertiary neurology, neurosurgery, spinal and pain management services to a wide catchment area.
The Pharmacy Department in LUHFT delivers a full pharmacy service to The Walton Centre (WCFT; based on the same site). This post will be based within WCFT but work closely with colleagues within other Trusts to standardise services relating to medicines management where appropriate, and to maximise quality, safety, productivity and efficiency.
This will include a commitment to Neuro ITU, developing/updating policies, clinical guidelines, and involvement in quality improvement projects relating to medicines within the Trust.
The role includes representing supporting the WCFT at Cheshire and Mersey Area Prescribing Group subgroups when required and the North Wales Medicines Management Group, and participation in the Walton Centre Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.
You will also participate in in the well established pharmacist prescribing service for patients newly admitted on the morning of their elective neurosurgery.
Experiential learning along with experience of medicines management or governance roles, and current (or imminent) registration as a prescriber. Experiences working in a tertiary centre would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
Assist the WCFT Operational and Clinical Lead Pharmacist in the development of pharmacy services and medicines management within The Walton Centre.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join North London NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 5 Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician (MMPT), working at the heart of our inpatient pharmacy service.
This is a varied, patient-facing role where you will work directly with patients and multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines safety and optimise treatment. You will have the opportunity to use and develop your skills in medicines reconciliation, patient consultation and counselling, discharge planning and medicines optimisation.
The post is a cross-site role working across St Ann's Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital, with an initial indicative allocation of 60% St Ann's Hospital and 40% Chase Farm Hospital. You will be expected to work flexibly across NLFT sites according to service need, and the balance between sites may change in response to operational requirements and future service developments. The role may also develop into a rotational post across medicines management services and/or Trust sites as the service evolves.

Main duties of the job

We provide pharmacy and medicines optimisation services to all of our mental health, learning disability and neuro-rehabilitation inpatient areas, as well as to community and crisis teams. Our Pharmacy staff are highly regarded as valued members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will be:
o Medicines reconciliation and review on admission.
o Providing support and information to patients and carers to assist with the management of their medicines.
o Optimising medicines, taking a holistic view of both mental and physical healthcare needs.
o Working in off-site community teams co-ordinating the process of medicines optimisation.
o Working in Clozapine clinics providing medicines management support, patient reviews and physical health monitoring including capillary blood sampling.
o Providing physical health and wellbeing advice to patients and staff.
o Discharge planning, liaison with patients, community teams and pharmacies.
Operational support to the dispensaries at SNH by performing regular accuracy checking slots.

Would you like to work as an Authorised Pharmacist for a brand-new state of the art Section 10 Aseptic Services Unit? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist to join us as a Senior Aseptic Services Pharmacist.
At Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (GWH) we have a clear commitment to transform our aseptic service provision into a patient centered, resilient and reactive service which will support the national agenda for Aseptic Services Transformation. Currently in the initial stages of opening, one new Section 10 cleanrooms has recently opened with a second to open soon to support the delivery of high cost, short expiry, agile chemotherapy provision, clinical trials and future unmet patient need.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of implementing a new aseptic service from the ground up.
Progression roles from band 6 to band 7 will be considered for pharmacists with an interest in aseptic services where all criteria are not met.
Main duties of the job
Act as an Authorised Pharmacist for the day-to-day supervision of the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit (PASU) to ensure all products prepared and released are in compliance with Department Standards, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
Work with the Accountable pharmacist to ensure, maintain and develop facilities, equipment and work practices to achieve the highest technical standards
To work closely with the pharmacy aseptic services technical team and pharmacy cancer team to co-ordinate treatment provision to the Day Therapy Unit, haematology inpatient unit and other medical wards requiring high risk injectable medicines.

The Pharmacy Technician will play an important role in complementing the Pharmacy Team and other members of the practice. Job summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist who is keen to develop their clinical skills to join our team at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust.
You will be a GPhC Registered Pharmacist who is organised, enthusiastic and motivated. You will work closely with nursing staff and prescribers as part of the MDT, as well as our experienced pharmacy technicians, therefore, great communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
This would be an ideal role for a community pharmacist looking to change direction. Working in community pharmacy is challenging and so, we know you will have exceptional prioritisation skills.
Full training will be provided, and you will shadow another pharmacist as part of your induction. Once trained, you will be working alongside one of our experienced pharmacy technicians. All our medicines are externally sourced; this means there is very little on site dispensing which allows you the time to undertake clinical work to ensure patient safety is maintained.
You must be able to travel to and having access to your own car is recommended. All hospital sites have access to free parking.
This is a part-time position and the post holder will be covering two of the community hospitals
There is no weekend, bank holiday or on call commitment within this role, and in addition, we can offer you 27 days annual leave entitlement at joining, increasing with length of service to a maximum of 33 days, plus 8 bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
Full training will be given, and you will shadow another Pharmacist as part of your induction, Once trained, you will be work alongside one of our experienced Pharmacy Technicians. All of our medicines are externally sourced, this means there is very little on site dispensing required, this allows you the time you need to undertake clinical checks to ensure patient safety is maintained.
- To support the delivery of an effective and efficient medicines management service to the Community Hospitals and other clinical teams by working closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team across SCHT.
- To ensure service compliance with medicines legislation, in particular controlled drugs legislation.
- To provide input into policy, procedures, audit and research affecting the use of pharmaceuticals at SCHT sites where appropriate.
- To liaise with our out-sourced pharmacy supply function, to ensure provision of an effective dispensing and supply service.
- To support the training and development agenda for clinical practitioners and non-medical prescribing practitioners at SCHT where appropriate.
- To provide holiday or study leave cover for other pharmacists and deputise for them at meetings.
- To provide clinical supervision of pharmacy technicians.

Join our friendly team for this 2 year fixed term contract and train to become a Pharmacy Technician. On successful completion of the course and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) you could apply for roles in medicines optimisation, clinical trials, procurement, aseptic dispensing, medicines safety, education and training and more.
The successful candidate will enrol onto an Apprenticeship Pharmacy Technician Training Programme to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to become a pharmacy technician whilst working.
Minimum entry requirements are 4 GCSE's at grade 4 or grade C (or equivalent), which must include English, mathematics and at least one science subject.
Main duties of the job
You will need to work with healthcare professionals, patients and carers to provide a pharmacy service under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician and therefore must demonstrate excellent communication skills.

We are seeking a motivated pharmacist with an interest in cancer services to join our Rotational Band 7 Programme. This is a unique opportunity offering structured development and the chance to gain advanced clinical and aseptic experience across oncology, haematology and technical services.
UHB is a tertiary referral Cancer Centre with 5 outpatient day units, 4 inpatient wards, a specialist BMT and CAR-T service, and dedicated outpatient clinics. Pharmacists are fully integrated across ward services, day units, aseptic units, and pharmacist-led clinics.
You will join a large, supportive, multidisciplinary team with strong collaboration at its core. Previous cancer experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Applicants with 12 months' post-registration hospital experience may be appointed under AfC Annex 21 (75% pay), progressing to full Band 7 on completion of a clinical diploma or NHSE/RPS pathway.

Main duties of the job
Work as part of our pharmacy cancer services team to:
Clinically verify haem/onc prescriptions
Provide inpatient clinical pharmacy service to the haem/onc wards when at QE
Ensure oral SACT patients receive appropriate counselling and support with their medication
Support aseptic services with final release of chemotherapy products
Support the introduction of new medicines into the services, this may include preparing prescriptions for inclusion on the electronic prescribing system
Support service development initiatives
Contribute to audit programmes as needed.

We are currently recruiting Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians to work at the Worcester Royal Hospital.
We are looking for one individual with an aspiration to provide patient care by ensuring that our patients get the right medicine at the right time. These full time posts will start in March 2027.
The role will involve working in an acute hospital setting within multi-disciplinary teams.
You will have the opportunity to complete a 2-year,day release college course to gain a Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.
You will gain experience in all aspects of pharmacy services including ward based pharmacy where you will be interviewing patients about their medications on admission, work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure all medications are available for the patient, including the provision of discharge medication. You will be trained in dispensing, preparation of sterile products, stock management and procurement. This experience will enable you to play an integral part in own Trust values, and Putting the Patient first.

You will have the support of Practice Supervisors, who will provide the practical training and supported learning you need throughout the two-year training course
The salary is 70% of top of Band 4 pay band year 1 and 75% of top of a Band 4 pay band Year 2(Annex 21/U).For existing NHS staff pay preservation will be available(Annex 30). Minimum wage may be applied dependent on pay awards. This can discussed further at interview.
Upon successful completion of the two-year training programme, you will be eligible for registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician with all the benefits & opportunities that the profession has to offer.
Eligibility for this apprenticeship is based on candidates meeting the full right to work employer checks as well as meeting the eligibility requirements for an Apprenticeship as set out in the UK Government Apprenticeship Rules: Apprenticeship funding rules 2025 to 2026.

Job summary
The Pharmacy Support Worker is responsible for supporting the safe and accurate dispensing of oral cytotoxic medicines, supportive cancer treatments, and outsourced pre-prepared medications using the JAC pharmacy system. The post holder will assist in receiving and checking deliveries of outsourced medicines, ensuring accuracy against delivery documentation and reporting any discrepancies promptly.
Working under the supervision of registered pharmacy professionals and the Accountable Pharmacist, the post holder will adhere to all legal, professional, and departmental requirements, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), COSHH regulations, manual handling requirements, and Trust policies. The role contributes to maintaining high standards of patient care, pharmaceutical services, and professional practice in line with the standards set by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties
Support the provision of a safe and effective aseptic pharmacy service by processing prescriptions, maintaining accurate documentation, and complying with all relevant legislation, quality standards, and procedures. Undertake stock management activities, including receipt, storage, stock checks, stock rotation (FEFO), date checks, and reporting discrepancies. Assist in the safe handling, storage, and disposal of medicines, including cytotoxic products.
Maintain accurate records, support filing and archiving processes, and monitor environmental and equipment parameters to ensure compliance with quality standards. Participate in environmental monitoring, cleaning schedules, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities within the aseptic unit.
Assist with aseptic preparation activities, including assembly of materials and basic calculations where required. Adhere to aseptic techniques, infection prevention requirements, and validated hand hygiene procedures. Maintain stock levels, replenish consumables, and support general housekeeping duties.
Communicate effectively, respond to enquiries, escalate concerns appropriately, and seek guidance from senior staff when required. Participate in departmental rotas, mandatory training, performance reviews, and continuing professional development. Work flexibly across pharmacy services to support operational needs and continuity of patient care.
