We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our friendly, hardworking and forward-thinking team. The role is full-time and will be located in one of our Liverpool-based surgeries along with the opportunity to operate on a cross-site basis.

Job Summary:
To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team.

Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by and GPs
Such tasks may include:
Undertaking Chronic Disease Reviews: Asthma, COPD, CHD, Diabetes, Hypertension New Patient Medicals
Peak Flow Readings
Venepuncture
Cervical cytology testing
Blood pressure measurements
Routine immunisations
Child immunisations
Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
Requesting basic pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
