Job summary
Vita Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic and committed Salaried GPs to join our growing clinical team.
We provide primary care to approximately 55,000 patients across our practices in Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham and Bexhill, supported by a well-established multidisciplinary team and experienced operational management.
We are looking for clinicians who enjoy working collaboratively, are confident managing a varied workload and are keen to contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will undertake the full range of duties expected of a Salaried GP, including:
- Routine face-to-face and telephone consultations
- Same-day and urgent care clinics
- Clinical triage using our total triage model
- Duty doctor sessions
- Home visits where clinically appropriate
- Reviewing pathology, correspondence and clinical results
- Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, ACPs, pharmacists, paramedics and other allied healthcare professionals
- Supporting safe and effective clinical decision-making across the practice
- Participating in clinical meetings and quality improvement activities
Experience of working within a total triage model or confidence in clinical triage would be advantageous, although support can be provided.

Job summary
Grove Road Surgery has an opportunity for a part-time position within our busy reception team. Experience of general practice is essential. We are looking for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday working shifts consisting of 08:00-18:30 to cover maternity leave
Main duties of the job
Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
Signpost patients to the correct service
Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
Read code data on EMIS
Photocopy documentation as required
Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary
Direct requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
Carry out system searches as requested
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
About us
Grove Road Surgery is a GP practice on the Wirral, Merseyside. We have 2 GP Partners and 2 Salaried GPs. We maintain a list size of approximately 3,000 patients. We have a dedicated nursing team, comprising of ANP, Practice Nurse, Pharmacist, Physician's Associate and HCAs
The practice is part of the North Coast Alliance PCN, As part of the PCN, we have access to Pharmacists (prescribing and non-prescribing), pharmacy technicians, social prescribers, paramedics and Health Coaches
The practice has a continuous improvement culture. It supports staff to develop and learn new skills as desired and encourages ideas and innovative thinking to improve the experience of the patients and staff alike.
