We're looking for a passionate and dynamic Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our exciting Rapid Response and Intermediate Care Team to work in the community and in-patient rehabilitation unit. The Physiotherapist would be working closelywith the team of Physiotherapists as well as working collaboratively with ourOccupational Therapy, Nursing and Support Worker colleagues.

The service operates 7 days a week 8am - 8pm, and so includes weekend and bank holiday working.

Within this role, you will:

• Undertake 6-month rotations intoIntermediate Care, Rapid Response and on the In-patient Rehabilitation Unit
• Complete holistic initial assessments with patients
• Devise treatment plans in line with patient's goals
• Liaise with family members/relatives and carers
• Implement and deliver treatment interventions
• Complete follow up review visits with patients
• Delegate to support worker colleagues
• Attend and participating in clinical meetings, team meetings and in-service training

This is an opportunity to put yourDegree in Physiotherapyto great use.You will have a full driving license with access to a car, you will bemotivating, innovative and adaptable, with the ability to work flexibly across specialities as need arises, holding the HCPC (Physiotherapist) registration. With strong communication and organisation skills, and a flexible approach you will ensure delivery of positive experiences to patients at every stage of theirhealthcare journey.

If you are a final year student due to qualify, we can also look to support you with our preceptorship scheme that we offer where we support you into the team within the first year of your qualification.

You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.

Job Summary

Join us as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, in our exciting SEND Therapy Service in West Essex.

We are looking for a Childrens Speech and Language Therapist to work with early years and school aged children, in their educational settings and their home, as part of our Special Educational Needs (SEND) Therapies team.

You will have the opportunity to work hybrid between visits to local schools and completing virtual sessions from home on a full or part time basis. The role has core hours during school times (with the occasional out of hours for meetings with school staff or parents) with the option to complete your additional hours flexibly.

As you will be visiting local schools as part of your role, a driving license and access to a vehicle is essential

Bulk of core clinical delivery to take place within school hours and education term dates, however service needs not to be exclusively term time only, with clinical and administrative work for school holiday periods to be discussed and agreed with SEND Therapies Manager. Post holder may be required to support Community Therapy service, if appropriate.

Caseload agreed with SEND Therapies manager, with time allocated for clinical delivery, training, travel, CPD, meetings and supervision, appropriate to role and geographical team.

• To manage own delegated caseload of SEND children independently across a variety of predominantly educational settings.
• To work with parents/carers, education colleagues, the multidisciplinary team and the wider childrens workforce to provide a co-ordinated approach to childrens speech, language and communication needs, as part of their EHCP provision.
• To assess and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with parents, carers, schools and other professionals, write assessment reports, provide appropriate intervention and evaluate treatment outcomes
• To support the service to meet key performance targets and contribute to agreed service development.
• To work in partnership with other agencies in order to meet local and national objectives as agreed with commissioners and SEND Therapies Manager.
• To supervise and allocate work to assistants, SLT students and less experienced therapists, when required.

As the first point of contact for Surrey Childrens Community Services, the Single Point of Access (SPA) Administrator plays a vital role in delivering a professional, responsive and customer-focused service to patients, families, healthcare professionals and partner organisations. Job Introduction

The Healthcare Support Worker is an essential member of the multi-disciplinary team providing high standard of care for patients as well as support and comfort to family members, friends and carers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a paediatric dysphagia-trained speech and language therapist to join the existing B7 dysphagia therapist.

Our Service

The dysphagia service supports a diverse population of infants, children and young people 0 -18 with dysphagia associated with complex medical needs, congenital and neurodevelopmental differences. The role offers the opportunity to apply advanced dysphagia skills within a holistic framework, working closely with families and carers to support safe, functional, and meaningful eating and drinking in everyday environments.

We serve children and families across the West Essex area (Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forest), working in partnership with local communities, schools, and services to deliver responsive and accessible care.

As part of an integrated service, we work closely with a wide multidisciplinary team. We routinely liaise with consultant paediatricians, community nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, health visitors. The role also involves liaison with external services. We are a supportive and collaborative team who value clinical excellence, curiosity, and reflective practice. We strive to create an environment where clinicians feel supported, valued, and able to develop their specialist skills while maintaining a healthy worklife balance.

Job Responsibilities

This is a community-based post, with the majority of clinical work taking place in service users homes and across mainstream and specialist educational settings. It is essential that you hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.

The post holder will be responsible for:

• Providing highly specialist assessment, management, and intervention tailored to each child and familys needs, supporting parents/carers, service users and all other professionals in all issues related to client management. Liaison with the MDT is an essential part of the role;
• writing reports, including initial/progress/discharge reports, mealtime mats, EHCNAs;
• supporting in the training and development of junior dysphagia therapists in the team;
• delivering training/courses to other teams within the integrated service (e.g. Health visitors, family support workers);
• contributing to developments within the dysphagia team/pathway and the wider service, and attending team meetings.

Ideal Candidate

• Have a degree qualification or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
• Have post qualification training and experience in dysphagia.

• Recognise and celebrate clinical excellence steered by evidence-based practice.
