Job summary
As part of Hertfordshire CYPMHS transformation, our priority is simple: to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people.
Driven by this goal and in line with NHS long term plans, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practitioner with extensive experience delivering mental health interventions to children and young people. You will be based in the Watford area and will work at the forefront of innovation in Children and Young Peoples Mental Health and play an instrumental role in a forward-thinking service delivering interventions in schools and other settings in South Hertfordshire.
This role is a chance to make a difference in young lives, and as such duties will include elements of operational management in support of the team leader and clinical activity.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with schools in and around the Watford area delivering early intervention mental health interventions and support. You will also be expected to:
- Support the Team Leader in the operational and clinical leadership of the team and deputise where appropriate in the Team Leaders absence.
- Facilitate case management, clinical skills and line management supervision.
- Complete initial assessments and risk assessments
- Deliver CBT based group and 1:1 interventions in school as well as other clinical activity.
To be eligible for this role, you will need to have:
- Completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Education Mental Health Practice or Psychological Wellbeing Practice for children and young people or have some level of formal CBT training e.g., CYP IAPT
- Consolidated postgraduate experience of working with children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties,
- You will have extensive experience in delivering evidenced-based CBT interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties such as anxiety, low mood and behaviours that challenge to CYP both individually and in groups.
- Have completed or willing to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Supervision of EMHPs/CWPs or the Senior Wellbeing Practitioner training including the supervision year.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join this innovative service as a Band 6 clinician working alongside social care colleagues at Cherry Tree Cottage. As part of an MDT, the candidate will work collaboratively with the Registered Manager, Team Leader, HPFT Clinical Lead, Consultant Psychiatrist, and other clinicians in the team with the planning, development, provision and review of an excellent, service-user focused service providing crisis containment and therapeutic support to children and young people with social and co-morbid mental health difficulties.
The home uses the ARC theoretical framework (Attachment, Regulation and Competency) and Non-violent resistance interventions and ethos in the provision to create a warm and nurturing environment to enhance wellbeing of the CYP. Training is provided and all workers are expected to work within this framework. The post-holder will work within professional guidelines and under the clinical and professional supervision of a Team Leader alongside the Registered Manager.

We are currently seeking an experienced Community Mental Health Nurse, at Band 6 to work via a Bank Contract, based in Hemel. You will be joining our Temporary Staffing Team within HPFT - Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
The post-holder will be responsible for the clinical and operational day to day service delivery, ensuring that an individualised comprehensive assessment, and Care Management service, is effectively delivered.

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated clinical pharmacist to join our pharmacy team as a Division Lead Pharmacist (Band 8a).
Our Division Lead Pharmacists provide senior clinical leadership across the following divisions: Adult Acute and Urgent Care Services; Specialist Services (Children and Young People and Older People); Learning Disabilities and Forensic Services; and Adult Community Services. The current vacancy is within Adult Acute and Urgent Care Division.
The role is suited to a forward-thinking pharmacist keen to influence practice, develop services and progress as a senior clinical leader. Experience in mental health or learning disabilities is desirable but not essential, and applicants with strong transferable clinical and leadership skills are encouraged to apply.
Working closely with the pharmacy management team, senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, you will lead the safe, effective and person-centred use of medicines across the Division. You will provide specialist clinical expertise, influence prescribing practice and support delivery of the Trust's Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Strategy.
You will join a supportive and progressive pharmacy team with strong links to multidisciplinary colleagues, senior Trust leaders and academic partners, offering opportunities to develop leadership, research and advanced practice aligned with national credentialling frameworks.
Main duties of the job
As a Division Lead Pharmacist, you will provide highly specialist clinical pharmacy expertise in mental health, learning disabilities and forensic services
You will lead and develop pharmacy services across the assigned division, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based and cost-effective medicines use
- Influence prescribing practice and contribute to Trust-wide medicines optimisation strategy and governance
- Use Independent Prescribing skills (where qualified) within agreed scopes and Trust policy

NHS Talking Therapies in Hertfordshire is seeking a motivated and creative Assistant Psychologist (AP) to join our well-established, dynamic and supportive service. We were one of the first Talking Therapies services in the UK to receive APPTS accreditation.

Main duties of the job
You will play a key role in a creative environment where evidence-based practice, fresh ideas, and new ways of working are embraced to improve outcomes for children and young people.
In this role, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of evidence-based interventions across Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) within schools and colleges. You will also provide supervision, guidance, and operational support to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality service delivery. You will inspire, empower, and support your colleagues, helping to foster a positive team culture and drive high standards of care that make a difference to young lives.
Supervisors will play a key role in:
- Forming strong working relations with a variety of stakeholders

We are currently seeking an experienced Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) Clinician, at Band 7 to work via a Bank Contract, based in Welwyn for our CAMHS Services. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be able to undertake assessments of the need of service users who meet the service eligibility criteria, and their family. You will be expected to identify and respond to acute presentations in order to manage risk and promote the safety and well-being of the service user.
The role is based in Hemel Hempstead and possibly St Albans. Travelling within the local area and across Hertfordshire when required, so you will need to be a car driver.

We are looking for a band five social worker to join our adult community mental health service in Bishops Stortford.
As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality social care to adults facing mental health challenges.
