Main duties of the job
As a Directorate Medical Lead your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Provide professional and medical leadership across Health in Justice services.
- Support and develop medical, clinical, and governance teams.
- Develop medical leadership capability across the organisation.
- Ensure services are safe, effective, responsive and well-led.
- Lead on clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework and Continuous Quality Review processes.
- Oversee patient safety incident management, including deaths in custody.
- Investigate complaints, incidents, inquests and legal cases where required.
- Ensure lessons learned are implemented and shared across services.
- Contribute to business development, service mobilisation and new healthcare service offerings.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and growth.
- Maintain awareness of national healthcare developments and secure-environment policy changes.
- Build relationships with NHS England, commissioners, HMPPS, Ministry of Justice and other external partners.
- Represent Health in Justice at national meetings, conferences and working groups.
- Navigate a complex stakeholder environment effectively.
- Escalate and address concerns relating to professional conduct or patient safety.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Full current GMC registration and on the NHS England Performers List, or on the Specialist Register in a relevant specialty.

- Experience improving patient experience and patient outcomes.

Job summary
Working within Professional guidelines and accountability, the post-holder will have responsibility for the management of a defined community caseload (via Nursing, mental health, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy interventions) for a group of GP Practices as part of the Integrated Care Team.
The post holders will have responsibility for managing co-ordinating and delegating work ensuring referrals are dealt with according to clinical need, holistic assessments and care plans are recorded in line with Trust and Professional record keeping standards and clinical care at all times meets acceptable standards of patient safety and quality outcomes.
The post holders will be required to work with a high degree of autonomy and professional accountability. A primary aim of the role is to prevent unnecessary admission of patients to an acute hospital and support timely discharge into the community. The post holder will also have a responsibility for re-enablement, rehabilitation, health protection and promotion programmes that improve and reduce inequalities.
Main duties of the job
Act at all times with compassion, to be committed to delivering high-quality care, use effective communication, be competent and have courage when needed.
Participate in the holistic assessment, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and therapy for patients in the home, without direct supervision. This includes those with chronic disease, terminal illness who wish to die at home and complex care needs.
Provide safe medicines management in your area, according to professional and organisational guidelines to ensure safety and efficacy.
Develop and maintain constructive working relationships and liaise effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team so that patients' needs are met.
Act as a role model in the promotion of person-centred practice, and challenge practice, which is not person-centred, so that a person-centred culture is maintained.
Keep updated with relevant clinical developments and use knowledge to enhance standards of care.
Practice and promote safe and effective skills in all aspects of clinical practice.
Practice and promote safe and effective record keeping in line with trust policies and professional standards.
Demonstrate competence and confidence in clinical practice: this includes all clinical procedures that are relevant/specialist to the area.
Recognises own limitations in the provision of clinical care and urgency of patient's needs, referring to other healthcare professionals accordingly and is accountable for his/her own action.

Main duties of the job
As a Patient Engagement Manager your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Lead and support site-based Patient Engagement Leads across the directorate.

Job summary
The service is run by a friendly team of 19 sonographers who rotate through General and Obstetrics departments with 12 cross-site Ultrasound Radiology Assistants. The services are run over 3, accessible sites, Eastbourne District General Hospital, Conquest Hospital and a brand-new state of the art Community Diagnostic Centre in Bexhill.
We run a range of out-patient appointment lists, in-patient services on the acute sites, and a range of one stop clinics including Early Pregnancy Assessment, Gynae, Breast Triple Assessment and Obstetric clinics, using 18 high-end ultrasound machines, which the Trust supports a timely machine replacement scheme for. We have two new reporting systems in the department, recently upgrading SECTRA PACS and ViewPoint 6 for reporting.
The ultrasound team work closely with our friendly, and supportive Radiologists and Obstetricians who promote specialist training in: Breast (including breast intervention), Head & Neck, Paediatrics (including baby hips and cranial), MSK (including interventional procedures), orbits and small parts. At ESHT we encourage and support our team to advance their ultrasound skills to include these areas. The department also actively supports training of registrars, sonographer and radiographer students.
Additionally, the ultrasound department provides opportunities for CPD, external courses and extension of administrative roles including QA, clinical audits, education officer, H&S, and managerial duties.
Main duties of the job

The ultrasound department provides opportunities for CPD, external courses and extension of administrative roles including QA, clinical audits, education officer, H&S, and managerial duties.
The successful candidates would be expected to participate in the weekend and evening rota; however, a degree of flexibility is possible with many of our Sonographers working compressed hours to allow a 3- or 4-day working week.
You should be able to perform a comprehensive range of examinations including general abdominal, obstetrics (including Nuchal Translucency scanning) and gynaecology. Vascular (including Carotids and DVT scanning) and small parts.
You will be expected to work independently and issue your own reports. We welcome applications from obstetric only sonographers. CPD is actively encouraged.

- A recognised Post Graduate CASE Accredited Ultrasound

The Haematology Laboratory at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a well-organised and highly motivated Biomedical Scientist to join our friendly and dedicated Haematology & Blood Transfusion team. Our services are based over two acute hospital sites at Conquest Hospital, Hastings and Eastbourne District General Hospital - you will be based at Eastbourne District General Hospital, although some cross-site working is required.
In return, the Trust is committed to the personal and professional development of its staff at all levels.
The Department is fully automated in its analytical platform for Blood Transfusion (Ortho Vision), Coagulation (Sysmex CN6000), Special Haematology (BioRad Variant II) and Haematology (Sysmex XN1000/2000), and uses the iLab/Apex Laboratory Information system. LIMS is due to be replaced in 2027 with Winpath Enterprise.
Full 24/ hour, 7 days a week acute services are operated at both acute hospital sites. Candidates will be required to participate in the full shift rota, covering weekdays, nights and weekends after suitable training and assessment.

Main duties of the job
QualifiedBiomedical Scientists, who have (or are close to achieving) HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist with experience in Haematology/Transfusion Science within an NHS setting, or within a laboratory with IBMS training approval, are encouraged to apply.

You will be required to rotate through Haematology, Coagulation, and Blood Transfusion sections of the department. You must be keen to embrace new ways of working and develop your knowledge and skills. We are moving towards a Blood Sciences structure to take advantage of common skills across Haematology and Biochemistry whilst continuing to recognise specialist discipline requirements. Opportunities for cross-discipline training will be available as we progress this project.
Our laboratories are accredited to UKAS 15189 standards and we promote a quality approach to working with all staff contributing towards maintenance of the Quality Management System.

The mask fit tester will ensure staff members required to wear FFP3 masks as per the HSE/UKHSA / National Infection Control Guidelines are appropriately fit tested to the correct mask.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Band 6 with significant clinical and leadership experience working within an MSK specialised physiotherapy/ Osteopathy role. If you are looking for the next step in your MSK clinical career, we would like to hear from you.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate expertise in MSK clinical assessment and treatment, in conjunction with leadership skills to support our AP's, team leads and clinical lead/ Rehab Lead physiotherapist in the delivery of our MSK care pathways. You will have a strong CPD base from which you will be supported to further develop specialist skills.
Main duties of the job
There is opportunity to develop skills in sub specialities that align to our MSK care pathways such as; upper limb, lower limb, rheumatology, and spinal.

You will be fundamental in the clinical development of others and service quality improvement initiatives, and as such will be expected to take the development opportunities and projects we can offer you. Practice receptionist is a key role, fundamentally important to the safe and efficient delivery of primary healthcare for our patients. We are currently looking to increase our reception team. - Main duties and Responsibilities
- Provide routine medical and psychiatric support including initial clerking and mental state examination of newly admitted patients
- Carry out the assessment, appropriate investigation, diagnosis and treatment under Consultant supervision of inpatients of the unit.
- Maintain good communication with ward nursing staff, mental health professionals and other agencies as required
- Participate in weekly ward rounds and other multidisciplinary meetings, including CPA, Tribunal hearings & Section 117 meetings
- Maintenance of full records of medical and psychiatric assessments and interventions
- Preparing discharge summaries in line with company policies and guidelines
- Attending all mandatory training e.g. BLS, ILS, Breakaway training/PMVA training, Moving and Transferring, Infection Control, H&S.
